so, i found a flashable zip of 4.2 camara and when i flashed it replaced the stock 4.1 camera with 4.2 camera..
but now, i want 4.2 camera without replacing 4.1 camera .. i want both the camera ..

I'm not sure you can do that. If ever you do manage to retain both apk in your system app, you're going to have force closes all over the place. I suggest you just make up your mind on which camera to use.

i manged to have both apk files in system/app folder without renaming any of the apk.
however, if both apk is there then my android simply ignores 4.1 camera and only 4.2 camera shows up in app menu.
i have seen people having both the camera app working in some youtube videos and thats what i want !
i found some bug in 4.2 camera , i am not able to touch focus and pinch to zoom in 4.2 camera .. thats why i want another alternative
and its good to have photosphere for some occasion.
greenblue's rom has both camera apps if you flash that camera mod. I removed the original one manually so that I only have the one that works with sphere.
why do you want both? What's the original one have that the modded one doesn't?
You CAN have both cameras, but only if your older Gallery in system/app is by default named "Gallery2". Than you flash 4.2 camera and you will have both cameras working. Make sure your ROM and/or gapps you are flashing has "gallery2" in system/app.

Zoom is impossible. You can zoom only with some 3rd party apps. And touch to focus libs are not yet made/optimised for our device, so, we have to wait.

Flash CM10 stable, which has gallery2.apk. Then flash the 4.2 camera zip from this thread -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35018025&postcount=571 -- and you'll have two cameras.
Whether they both work is a different question, however ....
I thought I would share my findings of this flashable zip for the 4.4.1 PhotoSphere camera. I'm currently using it on CM11 official nightly without issue. Although you cannot go past 8mp in the options. I'm hoping someone out there might be able to take this and get 13mp working? My friend flashed this same zip on his SGS4 and has 13mp option.
Update: Thanks to ChikeD we now have working 13mp Photosphere camera!
Update 2: 10MP Wide option added.

I'll have to look back in my history now. I found it in a random thread here on XDA. Someone else linked to it like I did. I'll see if I can dig it up. My 13mp resolution is 4160x3120

Camera support 4128x3096 13MP, yours a bit higher, not too complicated to MOD, however apktool threw some warnings so I don't know if it's going to work or not..
It's a matter of curtest to mention who you get it from and who is the OP to share/MOD.

The original poster of this link was not the creator. He was just responding to a question about photosphere camera's in another thread and said he used the one from that link. I definitely give full credit to the creator of these zips though! I was just thinking that since it's an unmodified Google Camera apk that anyone could have at it to try and mod.

EDIT: reuploaded with renamed apk. Sorry about that.
Note this zip is only a patch for the original zip, photosphere will crash if installed by itself.
Flash origininal and then this patch(no need to reboot between).

Nah, just added 2 lines resources + one fix for build. You can add the link to it too.
I don't think the sphare is effected just the camera.
I only use it for the sphares which is awesome, and Sony's camera for photos, isn't he G2 cam better for photos?
I'm adding more options, to have 2MP 16:9 and 6MP 16:9 for Xperia P, and include the libs inside so it can be installed as normal app.
I have the scene option mixed up(I have 3 option only), that was the case with Google Camera for 4.3 too, is it the same on the G2?
Also, Camera version is 2.0.001 (893803-30) and Gallery version is. 1.1.40304, is that different for the original 4.4 cam?

After flashing this zip on the newest official CM11 nightly, 13MP is available but when selecting photosphere Camera crashes. I'm using ART.

Was photosphere working before?
Maybe cache need to be cleared, I'm not familiar with ART.
EDIT: Did you flash the original before? I did not include the libraries in the zip.

I might have made a terrible mistake. Tpp many cam mods LOL.
What version of app you you see?
App name should also be GoogleCamera.apk, rename it in zip

For all those who have tried the patch, I messed up, sorry.
I may have ovveride the wronk app (Camera.apk) and should have been GoogleCamera.apk.
Delete Camera.apk and restore the original (if there was one) and flash the new file instead.
Again, sorry if I caused trouble.
I had a crash clicking TinyPlanet on camera.
Added libjni_tinyplanet.so from http://storagecow.eu/Xda/Nexus 5/System Dump/lib/ and it works.
Added to the patch, reuploaded and updated links.
So just checking in.. Dis you guys get fully working 4.4.1 GoogleCamera.apk with working 13MP support for our G2s?

Manage to extract the Gallery and photo editor from Note 2014. Install via recovery.If someone are interested here is the link. Almost all working in Photo editor except cropping have FC's( but you can do that via the main menu).Sorry can't find the lib or apk responsible for cropping .If someone know the solution please share.. Fixed cropping FC's at last!!!!
P.S. Make sure to have more than 50mb available free space on system for the full download. And will replace the stock Gallery when installed. Only works on 4.4.2. deodexed rom as far as I know( didn't test on odexed rom but you can try to manually delete gallery.odex then install the zip).Please let me know if there is still problems.

The gallery is included in the zip. What Rom are you in? Please check your system if there is available space as stated in the O.P.
Yeah, plenty of room there but no Gallery and no Photo Editor Installed. I opened the zip to see what's in there but both apps are in a folder Privated Apps (or such). I even tried to move both apps to systems apps and change permissions but it did not worked out. ¿Any place where I can get the "original" galery from N8000 firmware?

What's your firmware? What Rom is installed on your tablet?This only works on stock 4.4.2 as stated on O.P.

Added kabayan .Almost the same as the stock only difference is the font are smaller(much nicer) than the stock gallery(which are large).

I'm using gnabo rom v4 on my n8000 which is based on the official kit kat 4.4.2 rom with added snote and apps from the note 10.1 2014 edition. When I go to the gallery and press the edit button to add an effect to my photo it force closes the gallery. This happened before I installed this zip as the rom had the old note 10.1 2012 gallery and is still happening after I updated it using this zip. How do I fix the force close? Are there any missing library files or filters I should be aware of?

Strange you are the 1st to have this problem. Did you add any modifications in your rom or is it pure stock Gnabo rom? Before you add this mod suppose to be you won't have any response if you click the edit button cause the photo editor app is removed by Samsung(don't know why?)in the official firmware.After you install this mod it replaces the stock gallery app with the one from note 2014 gallery app. The only foreclose I do know after installing this is when you try to crop an image in photo editor mode, which I clearly stated in OP. It might be something else and not this mods problem .Anyway please reinstall your rom then this mod and let me know how it goes.

Thank you for your advice. I reinstalled gnabo v4 ROM and installed the Note 10.1 2014 gallery and photo editor zip. It worked, I must have had some files in the wrong place or something was misconfigured.
However, one small problem persists. In the SNote software when I select an image, go to properties and then go to 'Effects' it force closes the note. I wonder if it's related to the crop function not working? I'm not sure how to fix it.

Maybe try using Titanium Backup to convert it to a system apk, grant permissions enable it etc?

Is there anything special about the stock camera app? I just got a Le Max 2 X829 and put a ROM on it right away. The stock camera, which I only used for a sec, didn't take any pics though, it did seem like a nice app, but does it enable any extra functionality or provide any features that make it worth using over other apps?

The stock LeEco camera app will not work on Nougat builds, if that's what you want. This won't happen until the manufacturer releases a Nougat build themselves...

I'm still using android 6 version because of working xposed. Just can't launch Le camera app on LinageOS. I must missing something while install, it all time show message like "camera is using on another app, please close and try again". Ofc I closed all camera apps, even uninstall stock google camera and it still happening.

May you'll like another camera app? Like the opencamera app? This works fine, has many options and if you has a custom rom (a rooted device) than you can enable the camera2api to get more features like (DNG-) RAW shots. This is possible with tips from this : http://www.theandroidsoul.com/enabl...-aperture-exposure-raw-dslr-features-android/ : settings page.
