I am not being able to connect my moto g to my macbook pro to transfer files to/from the sd card. I have the developer mode turned on, stock android rom and rooted.
Any help is appreciated.

Search for Android File Transfer online, download and install on the Mac, will allow you to open your moto g in a file browser. ?

I'm looking for solution for the problem. After installing the official Moto G driver the Windows 7 still can't see the Moto G as storage.
When I connect the phone to the computer it starts to search for drivers but it always comes back saying the driver installation failed.
How to make it work? Thank you
I can access my Moto G 2015 on any Windows machine, plug it in and away it goes, seeing both the internal and SD card with no problem... But when I connect it to my Linux Mint desktop I get an error (see pic below) but to make things even stranger if I connect it to my laptop running the exact same Linux Minx version, it works fine and I get an icon show up on the desktop and can access both internal and sdcard with no issues, adb works no matter what which box I connect it to.
I know this is a Linux thing more than a Moto G thing, but figured someone here might be able to help.
Nevermind... I did a distro-upgrade from 17.1 to 17.2, then updated to the recommended kernel for 17.2 and it works now.
Hello -- After doing a hard reset of my moto g (2nd generation, android ver 5.0.2) the telephone seems unable to start wifi and detect simcards (for what I can see the wifi antenna is in perfect shape). I tried following this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/fix-wifi-missing-file-t3007540 but the cellphone does have the WCNSS_qcom_wlan_factory_nv.bin file.
Any ideas what else I can try?

This the forum for moto g 1st gen but your problem is commom, do you have a backup that have persit partition? if yes unpack with winrar in a new folder move to otg or phone and with a root explorer (i used cm file manager) movo the content of new folder to persist folder if dont have a backup search in google for moto g XTXXXX persit folder good lucky!

You can take your phone to service center and they'll rescue data for you, or you can use PC program, that is designed to scan your phone and copy every file ending on .mp3,.wav,.mp4,...

I have a bad problem, today i updated my Moto G to android to Lollipop 5.0.2.
then i installed real racing 3 game to play and i decided to mod some custom vinyls.
when i connect the moto g to the pc, this is what happens:
The PC doesnt read all folders! why?. (it just read 3 olders like android.vending but it doesnt reads the com.ea.games.r3_row)
i can see all foldes on my mobile via AndroZip file manager.
whats wrong?
