Hello all I recently got a tab 2 and I decided to use CM11 as my ROM and I was just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of the bottem bar where the home, back button and recent app buttons are whenever using the keyboard or when I don't need to use it cause its quite annoying when I try to type and accidently click the home or back button while typing or navigating my phone.

Hey all,
So I just recently bought the keyboard dock (a little late to the game I know ) and I was wondering if I could add some functionality to it.
First am I able to change what apps open with the function keys? Mainly I want to change the browser button so that it opens Chrome Beta instead of the stock browser.
Also can I add keyboard shortcuts in various apps? Specifically is there any way I can add cntrl+T or cntrl+F etc to Chrome Beta?
Finally, when I lock my screen using the lock function key I cannot turn the screen back on without reach up and clicking the button on the tablet. Is there a button on the keyboard that does this? Does it not work in ICS?
That's about all I can think of right now. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know the answers on all your questions yet.
You can bring your tablet to life by swiping your finger over the touchpad, then press the home button to unlock.
Don't think there is a function to attach buttons to self-defined apps for now, anybody: correct me when i'm wrong.
See here for the browser button issue. As far as remapping other keys, that's dependent upon each application.
And if the TF101 w/ ICS is anything like the TF201, there should be a setting for dock power saving. If it's enabled, then the tablet won't wake up to key presses on the dock.

Thanks for this! I was wondering how to do this. I just recently gave out trying to figure it out since the key press is one inch away from my screen icon LOL. I have to say, Google needs to replace the stock browser with Chrome in future Android versions. What an improvement!!
Nice bike in your avatar. Here's my track monster after I mangled my old racebike.

Hi all,
I have built JB for Galaxy Tab 2 7.0" from AOSP. It boots up sucessfully, looks to be working, and by disabling the physical keyboard I can get the keyboard to work on screen.
However, the bar that is usually on the bottom of the actual touch screen is missing. It contains the home button, the back button, and I think the apps button. It's hard to navigate between apps without it.
I was wondering if anyone has encountered something similar to this? Or can suggest a direction to take?
Thanks!
What height is it set at in ROM control ( if AOSP has one )? What dpi are you running at ?
EDIT : sent you PM.
I am currently using the Galaxy s4 with native keys that are not on screen for home, back, etc. When using navbar / pie and changing home screen the home button on the nav bar / pie does not work if you hit it quickly after you change the screen. Same kind of thing with opening apps if I remember correctly. Is this delay something you see in the OnePlus One as well? Flip a homescreen, hit home on navbar really quick and let me know if you find the phone not responding. It's aa if I need to wait a second for the device to recognize the command although the physical home button works just fine. Just wanna know if this is the case for the 1+1 because I am looking to pick one up shortly, thanks for your time

Hi, i was wondering if you guys can help me remap my home touch buttons to work how they used to (on some devices). Ive tried to get used to how it is now but i just cant get comfortable. I checked another thread thats similar to what i want done but not quite exactly what i was looking for.
I use the back button, home button, and recent apps button. My goal is to long press the home button and have recent apps open and use the recent apps button as a general settings button (instead of having to long press the recent apps to get there). Im basically trying to acheive the LG Optimus G setup. Its a minor tweak and i'd enjoy the phone even more this way.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! If theres a thread that I missed that fits my needs plzz direct me to it! Thanks!

Greetings and welcome to assist. There are several apps on the playstore that will let you rearrange your soft key buttons if that is what you want but they require root. I think what you are describing though is the new key layout from samsung as they have switched the recent apps button
