Hello,
Is there a feature in the cm 11 build to mount storage located in home network with cifs/smb?
I want to do this and I dont even know if that is possible.
I have a hdd connected tru wifi in my home network. I want to mount it someway in my android system. So picture app or music app can find the files as if they were locate on internal SD. Atm I only can connect on the hdd with ghostcommander and play the file manually but the apps cannot find anything automatically.

Hi Guys - After an unsuccessful attempt to find a solution to connect one andoid to another through USB, I am posting this thread hoping to find a solution from the XDA gods
Problem:- I have a Xperia x10 (Rooted Android) and a Transfomer (Unrooted Android), now when I connect my Xperia to the tab, the Xperia recognises the connection and prompts to mount the SD card. After mounthing the card, I am unable to browse the contents of the phone card in my tab. Actually the tab fails to recognise the phone card as external memory card.
Is there any application that will enable Android to Android file sharing through USB?
Thanks In Advance
Mount it manually in Settings>Storage>Mount USBDisk x.
It does not mount automatically.
If that does not work, try Multi-Mount SD on your Xperia.
If still won't work, it will be a ROM related problem on your phone.
Mine works fine - HTC Desire Root/S-OFF on MIUI XJ - unrooted TF
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me finding a way of mounting /storage/usbdisk/ as sdcard.
I am using CyanogenMod 11 Nightly.
The problem is, the usb disk works almost ideally - Reads audio and video from it with no problem, but when I want to move
obb/data or other app data ( iGO navigation ) to it, it just doesn't read it.
I tried this solution
but I was wondering if it is possible to mount whole usbdisk as sd card, like the phones with SD Card slot do.
I tried mounting /storage/usbdisk/ to /storage/sdcard/ and /storage/sdcard1/ and /storage/emulated/1/
none of those helped.
Thanks in advance.

Firstly when you go in settings storage/ ad scroll down with your usb storage plugged in does it show the free space on that device n the storage settings? if yes
all you need is the pro version of foldermount
Apk is on playstore forum support/ user guide for it is just a xda search away
Im using it on the experience rom for the moto g x1032 8 gig sngle sim version.
ive so far tested asphalt 8 which is about 2 gigs of data once installed. I created a android folder on my usb storage and withing the android folder i created a data and a /obb folder
i then linked those folders.......youll get what im saying when you go to the foldermount thread here on xda.
Hi, i have a problem with my moto g. I connected my phone trough USB MTP because i wanted to copy some music. I didnt have the necessary space so i deleted a few empty folders, nothing from system folders, just old apps folders. Suddenly, the connection interrupted. When i tried to connect the phone again, i have all my app fb,music player, instagram installed and my contacts , but i can't access to my music, photos. The memory said i have 8.09 gb empty of 16gb ( this model doesnt have sd card support).
If someone can help i would really appreciate it. I just want to recover my photos if i can.
Thanks in advance for any reply
Hi. I've recently updated my moto G with latest nighly CM13 .
With CM12 I could plug my otg usb pen drive and browse through it files with any music player. However after installing CM13 I'm not able to do it anymore.
I've set my drive to MTP or I've even formated it as "portable storage" but anything worked. How could I proceed? Is there a way to mount it as mass storage? Maybe with terminal emulator ? Any help will be extremely useful.
From what I've read today, you might need a music player that supports Android's "Storage Access Framework".

Hi, I apologize to bring up such an old problem, Android kitkat does not allow files to be moved or written to any external storage. Can a Android device, phone or Android tv box still send files wirelessly to a router with a flash drive plugged in using a file manager.
I use to do this with my old lg phone to backup my music and videos using file manager from the play store, it detected my router and attached flash drive, it helped me free up my phones storage but I think it was Android lollipop, would kitkat allow this or deny it like internal storage, thanks.
