I noticed some strange behaviours these last days on my rooted mi4i.
Sometimes when i get a notification and i try to wake the phone from standby it takes forever or I find out that it shut down all by himself.
Someone know what could cause this?

clean install again without custom kernel
The problem is that I've never flashed a custom from neither a custom kernel.
Now I've unrooted the phone and it's not happening, but I'd like go know what it's the source of the problem.
Same problem happened to me

First of all, Ive searched regarding this error a lot and am hoping someone can clarify.
I "mistakenly" updated to the stock kitkat 4.4.2 that was released for the Galaxy s4 recently and after realising how crap it was, i installed a recovery manager and loaded on the Google play edition rom by Danvdh
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2539361
The rom works great and for the most part my phone works. But every now and then randomly it reboots and then will show Kernel is not seeandroid enforcing. Im assuming the error is due to the fact that I installed stock kitkat.
Am I able to circumvent this error by installing a different kernel? and Is the error related to the random bootloops?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,
Generally you must flash the same kernal which has come with the installation ZIP, Please check if you are using a different kernal and the ROM.
This happened with me , as i was using a CWM nightly Kernal with a PAC ROM, which didnt worked for me.
It worked when i got a Kernal build by the PAC itself.
Hope this might answer your query

Well I havent changed anything yet. I am using the same kernel that came with the Google play rom that I installed.
Hi guys. I've been following both the android and original android development sections of the OPO forum and have found no kernel that can overclock the OnePlus One running stock (rooted and BL unlocked) CM11s.
So, my question is very simple: is there any kernel that overclocks CM11s? (Yes, i know it is plenty fast already, the only purpose i have for it is bragging rights at the bar TBFH and to see how far it can go)
There is currently no custom kernel with overclocking features that will boot on CM11S.
If you really want it then you can go and flash a custom ROM and flash a kernel such as ak kernel which does have overclocking up to 2880MHz.
Do not flash ak kernel while on 11S, your phone will not boot.

Thank you for you answer. Yes, I realize it wont boot on CM11S. infact, that is the first warning you read upon seeing the kernel.
I guess I will have to wait, since I think CM11S is by far the best ROM for the OnePlus... I had already installed 5 different roms on it and flashed furnace kernel only to see no difference in benchmarks (i think it's because it throttles, even though i stuck it in the cooler)

Benchmarks mean absolutely nothing. Its all about day-to-day performance. Custom ROMs are better in my opinion because currently on 11S there are numerous crucial bugs that are affecting the phone from being used. Just to name some,
- In-call audio volume fixed.
- Some workarounds on the touchscreen problem.
... the list goes on and on but I don't feel like explaining all of them but custom ROMs offer a lot more features than what stock has to offer plus they give you a sneak preview of whats to come in the next OTA without having to wait for it.
The decision is up to you, they're all free after all. Thats the joy of custom ROMs and kernels
Hey guys,
since I didn'T find anything on this topic I'm going to ask you.
Currently I'm using the s4 version of the htc one s (ville), running on CM 10.2.
Everytime I try to install a KitKat rom, doesn't matter if it's CM, PA, Carbon-rom... my phone gets stuck on a bootloop.
Any ideas why that is?? HAven't really read that this is a common problem.
Thanks for your help ;D
And yes I did fully wipe the phone before I installed the new rom, since that's a common issue on the nexus 4

Sounds like you're using a outdated custom recovery. Flashing latest TWRP should solve your problem.
TWRP 2.8.0.1
thx for your help i will definitly try it i'll post my result
...
i just tried it with the recources i had but couldn't do a full wipe since i had no backup but as far as I know that doesn't cause the problem of a bootloop? so still have bootloop with updated TWRP
Same goes for the full wipe still set on a bootloop

Custom ROMs are more for those who have a good technical knowledge and can tackle some issues if they arise. I've had good luck with RR in the past but not bug free. Tho my s6 won't charge on stock nougat. Only marshmallow and custom ROMs. So no ROM is perfect it seems
Hi all,
Is it possible to install a STOCK kernel with the custom ROM? Reason is that all the custom ROMS for the A8 are on permissive mode and don't support enforcing.
If it's possible does anyone know or can point me to a howto? I tried fetching it from the latest samsung ROM but with no luck. Or is there a link for a dedicated stock rom for the a530f?
Any help would be highly appreciate; it's my last resort to get this phone back to duty again. I know, with permissive kernels, the phone runs like a charm with Android 11 and 12 ROMs. It's a pity to let it go due to the lack of security support in the kernels.
Kind regards,
Daan
hmmmm

Any idea where to get a stock kernel from or howto take it from the latest available stock ROM or if there's somewhere a howto to be found? Till now my search efforts for this subject are quite fruitless...
