I'm considering this version imported. I understand it has different bands, and a TV tuner integrated. But what do we know about UK compatibility and is it possible to root it?

Considering this version as well, obviously because of the cheaper price for such a great phone, however without the ability to root or flash roms doesnt quite seal the deal.
I am trying to see if there is an alternative model no, as whats listed is scl24... aka sm-n915? if anyone has any information that would be great as i cannot find any information on this model except from the official au site.
First of all... i have scl24, root with custom rom. And it work in israel, except a gps problem i dont have any other.
Hi all, you can go to vietnamese site to download the 5.0.1 firmware for SCL24 as: http://choimobile.vn/threads/scl24-...-edge-au-beta-3-full-unlock-10-06-2015.60411/
The best for me is Beta3 with auto unlock for Sim and every things work great.
PS: Thanks to Mr. MANH IT for this super rom.

I just purchased an S6 with Model #: SM-G9208, at first I thought it came from China and what not but it came out from TW because it has Google Play Store.
Will Samsung release the Marshmallow update for the device or is there any possible way that I can just flash the SM-G920F Firmware?
I can't seem to find any reliable source about this concern and the BRI firmware has battery drain bug.
It will be released, and you won't be able to flash the 920F firmware over the top of your 9208.
Have a read of the forums, you aren't the first nor the last to ask similar questions.

Its a different beast altogether. You cant install any 920I or F custom / stock roms as they are using different hardware than other unlocked versions. This is same as G9200 which i have quite similar to urs but yet different. We have no choice but to wait. G9200 update is rumoured to hit tonight.
One more thing. You wont see much development for your phone on Xda same like us. Your only reliable hope would be chinese forums gfan.com

Mine says I'm using Exynos 7420 but my Antutu Score is only 44630.
Btw, do you have the video call option in the dialer?

They all are same processors albeit using different hardware for modems. I dont have video call option in dialer and never noticed it since i dont have any use for it.
Planning to try converting GS7 G930FD-Dual SIM to G930F-Single SIM by simply flashing the firmware of G930F.
FYI both are EXYNOS Version
Maybe flashing the right firmware will get the trick working. Will there be any issues with flashing except losing Dual SIM?
Will be good to know in which country is the G930F official sold so as to flash the appropriate firmware from here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G930F/
PS: Bought the Duos version because my country only sells it.
Thanks
I would say keep the Duos version. I'd to buy the duos as my country also sells only that version (yes there are other places to get but without warranty) and the best part for me was no bloatware. None at all.
Things that came pre-installed was general google stuff, MS word/excel/onedrive etc, facebook/whatsapp/intagram and the Samsung's own stuff.

Not possible to use S Voice in native language. And also it has some specific Korean programs inside which are not possible to remove. So yesterday in Samsung service I wanted to change Korean (SM-R730S ROM R730SKSU1BPD1) on any European one with support of Russian language but as they told there it is not possible, Samsung doesn't allow to do it. So, maybe anybody knows how it can be done by myself and where I can find any European Rom for changing?
Hi, have you solved your problem?

Not yet, looks like Samsung hasn't any Gear S2 3G version for Europe, only for USA and Asia
That's not true, vodafone Germany and O2-Germany (Telefonica) sell it. Look here: http://www.zdnet.de/88260419/vodafone-und-o2-fuehren-mit-samsung-smartwatch-esim-in-deutschland-ein/ so it must be an European firmware version for it.

Did the Korean version offer the option to Scan ESIM via Gear app?
which variant do i use for galaxy s8 from japan? Sm-G955J / SVC35
Please
variant of what? you looking to stay w/Japanese or go to another region/country?
I just want to use an operator-free rom stock, but I can still use it in Japan
Thanks for help!
What's Japan use for cell svc, GSM? Exynos phone? If so pretty much any custom Exynos ROM, with the version appropriate CSC ought to work just fine.
Maybe it's out of topic, but kinda similar with my question, and the last reply is still quite recent.
I just got a used s8+ g9550 (TGY/Hongkong). I looked at Phone Info app, it comes with Hongkong PDA & CSC (G9550ZHU1AQG6), and US version of BL & CP (G955USQU1AQGL). Still on Nougat 7.0.
It works just fine here in Indonesia. But I'm afraid it won't be getting any OTA updates since I'm not living in China. Is it actually OK to mix up the firmware (AP, CSC,BL,PDA) like that? What versions are compatible with my device?
I'm totally new here. I don't even know why there're 4 firmwares for each device, and what each one of them is for. All I know CP = Modem/Baseband, BL = Bootloader. Mind to explain it to me? Thanks

I beleive your phone is a snapdragon processor not exynos - if it is chinese, I think there may be a way to unlock the bootloader but I am not 100% sure of that. I know that the S7 Chinese was able to be unlocked but there was a special ap you had to install in order to do it.
I know I haven't helped much but I wish you good luck...

I'm looking to go US, T-Mobile to be specific. What do you suggest?
Guys may I know which version u have? This is the first time I'm going to try op phone so I don't want to make any unnecessary mistake.
Is there any difference between the two in terms of custom rom and rooting availability(such as samsung's exynos is easier to get custom rom and root than other version) ? Or any custom rom will fit to either version?
BTW I'm living in Indonesia, do both will work just fine on my country or do I need a specific version in order to use it here?
Thanks people.
need the answer too, some people said using A6000 outside india or china the 4g network may not working.

I have a6003 here in the u.s..
I have A6003 here in the UK
6003 here in Australia - this is the official International version.. There is a 6000 version going around, which seems to be India based - but is being sold as a "flashed OS" version and sold internationally. I would highly suggest getting the 6003 - it seems the most compatible
6003 is for europe/us.
6000 is for chinese/india.
The difference is just the supported bands (6003 supports much more) and the rom, the rom can be replaced easily.
6003 for US/EU/GLOBAL
6000 is for China/India (no play services, few bands missing etc)
this information was received from oneplus directly.
