Sony Xperia Z3 vibration very bad / low - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
since few days i have a new Sony Xperia Z3 (D6603) and from my point of view the vibration is very bad / low.
When i´m in the office, the phone is on my table and its only in vibration mode, the phone lies next to me on my table, max. 30cm away from me.
And the most of the times i dont recognize, if i get a new SMS or WhatsApp message, because the vibration is to low.
I already opened the Service menu *#*#7378423#*#* and i tested the vibration, but also there my opinion is that the vibration is too low.
Before i had the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the vibration was much louder.
any ideas?

Omnia II Sound Issue

I posted this on the Verizon forums and it was suggested that I also post here looking for an answer so here it goes.
My phone will randomly turn sound off. According to all sound profiles my sound is on and it should make noise when ringing or text messages come in. The problem is that the sounds will randomly turn off but not necessarily all of them. I may receive text notifications and not rings or vice versa or I may not receive either. Then randomly they will come back and I will receive all the sound notifications.
I recently had my phone replaced and once I got the new one it began doing the same thing. I just can't believe that it is a coincidence that I would get two phones (both brand new) that would do the same thing. In an effort to fix it I updated my firmware on my old phone and everything but did not help.
I love this phone and I don't want to get rid of it and I don't want to go back to the Verizon store if there is a fix for it.
Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.
Hi,
I also have an Omnia II. And I do not have those issues. But what I do know is that there is an option that if you flip your phone (with the screen facing ground) the sound will shut off if someone is calling. Like if you are in a meeting and someone is calling, you just turn your phone and the sounds is then silenced.
You can find these this setting in Start>Settings>Basic settings>Motion setting
(could be other names as I use a Dutch windows)

This is the most likely problem. They set it up so that, even if the phone is tiled just slightly downward, the sound will be turned off. They really should have made it a more direct-downward position. If you turn that off and still have problems then check to make sure you're not activating a silent mode with the volume-down rocker on the side of the phone. Holding the rocker down for a few seconds will put the phone into either vibrate or silent. Hope you get it figured out!

[Q] Message Alert Issues

Hi,
I purchased my atrix 2 a couple weeks back. The phone works like a charm and i am pretty happy with it. However i am 2 issues listed below:
1. If a turn the vibration off in message settings it doesn't vibrate when a message is received even when the phone is n silent mode (vibration is on in the sound settings for silent mode). And i if i turn it on it will vibrate even when the phone is not in silent mode.
2. Whenever i receive a service message(message from provider showing the remaining bal.) after every call and message it plays the default message tone and vibrates treating it like a normal message. This wasnt the case with my samsung wave. Such messages were accompanied with a short and dull beep so as not to distract me. Any idea how to differentiate b/w the two message types??
Please help me out as i tried searching a lot of forums extensively and couldn't find any solution to this.
Thanks in advance.
help
please help guys. I cant beleive no one else is facing this issue.

Vibration strengh too low

The vibration of my htc A9 no longer works well. The phone vibrates for notifications and phone calls, but, in vibration mode at office, it does not emit any noise when placed on any surface so I do not hear it.
I've rooted and s-off the phone so HTC support does not agree to repair it under warranty, even if it is a mechanical problem that that cannot be caused by the root on stock rom without any modification.
Do you have any suggestions for me?
Obviously I did a hard reset, tried to do all the tests possible, but nothing changes. I also installed a module that carries the vibration Exposed to 200%, but you do not hear anything anyway.
At this point, however, I can do nothing, but I wanted to know if there is a way to set to vibrate the phone's ringer keeping active the sound of notifications.
Thanks in advance!

How Do I Turn Off ALL Vibrations?

Hello everyone,
About 8 months ago I dropped my Pixel. I was pretty upset, had only had it a month, but all it did was put a dent right where the opening for the speaker is. Sound worked, screen wasn't cracked, I was happy.
Well, 8 months have gone by and about 2 days ago I think the mesh that covers the speaker has turned loose from the case. Again, no big deal, it's still there, sound still works, etc. BUT ... now I get this HORRIBLE metal rattle every single time the phone vibrates.
Does anyone know how to turn off ALL vibration for the phone?
I've gone through Settings -> Sounds and turned it off for phone calls and touches. I've gone through some individual apps like Hangouts and Messages and turned it off for those app's notifications. But there are so many times the phone vibrates.
How do I turn off the vibrate for when you unlock with the fingerprint sensor? How do I turn off the vibrate for when you double click the power button to quick launch the camera?
If anybody knows how to disable ALL vibration on the phone I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Chris Williams
Don't think you can disable the fingerprint vibration or the camera vibration unless you're running a custom rom. You could try and run a custom kernel that let's you set the vibration intensity. You could then set it to 0 and the vibration motor won't work anymore.

Zenfone 6 vibration "sound"

Hello,
I received my phone two days ago (switched from OP3). I noticed something odd. The vibration sounds like "vibrating phone with protruding camera laying on desk". Even if I hold it in my hand. Even with case put on.
My vibration strength is set to about 66%. If there is a long vibration (sms notification or call) it sounds like vibration motor is working with few very small interruptions in those ~3 seconds.
When I get back from work I will try to record that sound.
Anyone got the same feeling with their phone? Is it normal? Or should I write to Asus about it?
