:crying:
yesterday i updated few xposed modules and suddenly phone freezed, restarted afetr disabling xposed, phone booted properly, then i again enabled xposed and restarted, phone booted fine, then again it freezed,i again disabled xposed but this time phone is not booting,so did factory reset still its not booting, thought of reverting to full stock so put dload folder with update.app inside sd card{both root and inside external sd},flashed stock recovery, the problem is once i copy the dload folder to internal sd root, after restarting it vanishes, tried copying multiple times, still it vanishes,so i am in a very bad situation, guys,i humbly request you all if you have a CWM backup of full STOCK rom, please share download link so that i will download and install through CWM:crying:
i had a cwm backup, but its stuck in boot
i was using b370 emui3.0
if you guys have b370 or b380 cwm zip of full stock rom,it will be very helpful for me

You can boot. It is NOT bricked.
Format the SDcard to FAT32. Or adb flash the stock ROM from your computer.
Success.

Oh no! The curse of the NEWB. So after some amazing help, I managed to root my phone and install TWRP. YAY! Then what did I do, I wiped my OS by mistake. NOW I just have TWRP. I am not sure if can fix this. Can I?
Did you take a backup using TWRP first? If not you'll need to find a ROM to load via TWRP.
Are you sure that deleted OS or is your phone just booting always in TWRP?

Goneski!!! Just TWRP, all the time everytime.
I am hoping as my computer reads internal memory I can flash a recovery rom onto it. If anyone knows how that would be great

I don't think you wiped your OS. It's just a bootloop that goes back to recovery everytime.

You need to flash a andorid on it,
first you need to understand how it works....u have a recovery as a base, so you can reach the components you want....
then you have the OS f.e. Android, this is missing on your phone.
All we need is a zip flashable ROM.
So on TWRP we can't use the dload method, so we need a OS in .zip format to flash it with TWRP.
Link above go in TWRP flash zip choose zip from ext. SD card
btw i have the same problem...
thought a wipe would be good...

Do NOT do this. If you do this it will remove any chance of recovering, BUT if you know how to replace TWRP with the Stock Revovery, then skip this, because you obviously know what you are doing. All you need to do it download any ROM.zip made for your phone, onto a computer. Then move that ROM.zip to a micro SD (TF) card and insert that into your phone. boot into recovery and flash that ROM.ZIP. If you are having trouble still, charge your phone completely while off, then do a complete wipe and flash the ROM.zip again. Iif that doesn't work, wipe (factory reset, not system wipe) then your phone should boot properly.
Hey be thanks full !
you can install a custom Rom (cyanogenmod or etc) and boot your phone and then go to setting and enable USB debugging and reboot your phone to boot loader by ADB and install stock recovery and then try to install OTA updates.
if you found any Method for deleted OS and how to reinstall OS with stock recovery about P8 lite e-mail me !!
sorry for bad english.!

i don´t know,i am on B180
or try this:
Copy the B180 UPDATE.APP on your SD Card in dload Folder
Extract the B180 with Huawei Extractor (SYSTEM.img,BOOT.img,CUST.img and RECOVERY.img)
and copy the img Files in your Fastboot/ADB Folder
Flash the img files via Fastboot (fastboot flash boot BOOT.img fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img,etc...)
fastboot reboot and let it start.
When finish this Procedur Power of.
Press all three Buttons at the same Time (Volume+,Volume- and Power Button)
pressed until the B180 UPDATE.APP install will.
Then a Factory Reset and Report if it works
Thanks.
I have made this but with the B133 and it doesn't work.
The only recovery that I can launch is the TWRP 4.1.
Stocks recoveries refuse to work ...
Do you think it could change with the B180 ?
Does it exist a tool for changing partitions ?

Hi guys i was trying to install a custom rom on my mate 9 (MHA-L29C432-156)so i followed the instructions ; unlocked the bootloader; then installed twrp 3.1.0-0; on twrp formated data; then full wiped and try to install AurRom from SD; but get a message that zip file is corrupted; so I tried with S.H.I.E.L.D ROM and it flashed , but then when boot goes to eRecovery, and give me 3 options download latest version and recovery; reboot and shutdown. So now I cant boot the phone, when I restarted, followed same steps , format data, full wipe and trying to installing again but getting a message about all zip files of the roms are corrupted; then i try to restore backup; and same again get the huawei logo, then the android logo , phone restarts and eRecovery again.
Please someone HELP, I use this phone for my work...........!!!!!!!!!
How did you full wipe?
Also try with Twrp 3.0.2-2

Something went wrong here. You can run 'adb logcat' to see the crash details while starting.
If you have a backup on twrp then restore to get phone working. You may need to flash the public and hw-data zips afterwards though.
If you don't have a backup then you could try flashing the C636 off line firmware and then use firmware finder to go back to your original firmware
Sent from my MHA-L09 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
you may just flash the modified recovery ( See Guide subforum ) ) to bypass the update certification and authorization and reflash an original firmware. your stored files will be lost anyway in most cases.
I would bet superuser ( shield ) and SuperSU ( Aurom) messed your boot image. Both are incompatible to each other and, afaik both are incompatible to twrp 3.1.
Flash TWRP 3.0.2.2, reboot to recovery again to change version, flash the rom ( f.e. shield rom), boot once up, reboot to recovery and THEN you may flash twrp 3.1
Thanks all of you guys, I've solved the problem, it seems that's something related to the sd card, I've formated the sd and transfer the files trough another phone and then put the sd on the mate 9, I follow the steps as followed before and works successfully, now I'm on AurRom and 182 firmware.
Hi guys i have a really urgent problem. I was on Nougat B381 (flashed from B380 with TWRP after made a backup) and everything was fine. Today i tried to restore this backup because i found that "Smart key" was absent from "Smart assistance" setting but it completely ruined my phone! It only boots to eRecovery and TWRP...cannot made it work anymore. I don't know what to do. Actually i'm downloading Android 6 firmware, maybe there's a way to install it even if i cannot boot. Maybe through TWRP? Please help. I tried different thigs but non worked. I tried also to extract cust, system, boot and system but cannot flash cust and system...so nothing to do. Hope you can find a solution for that. It's my main phone, i need it very much, please.
I've tried right now with dload method by manually updating through "vol up + vol down + power key" but after the 5% it says me that couldn't find the download package....i've putted dload folder in the root of ext sdcard so...what i have to do?
I've been in a similar situation and what worked for me is first flashing the rollback package (found here hihonor[dot]com/fr/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=92133) using the dload method and then flashing the C432B131 firmware (found here hihonor[dot]com/fr/support/details/index.html?DOC_ID=92103 using the dload method. After that I had to factory reset from the eRecovery or else the phone wouldn't boot.
PS: I had to fuzz the links because I'm a new user and XDA won't let me post external links.

i have downloaded the rollback package and B131 firmware. Now i'll try and let you know...wish it can help me too
Tried to install the rollback but got a failure. "Software install failed, the update package does not exist. Please download the package again". What i'm wrong? I've putted the dload folder in the root of my external sd card (where i have other folders to be clear) what i have to do?
That's weird. Maybe try formatting the SD card (in FAT32) and put only the dload folder on it. That's how I did it so let's just make sure the conditions are the same.

Hi im new here and i need help :^;
Have a huawei mate 9 (dual sim, unlocked bootloader) and accidentally wiped the system partition through twrp (custom for huawei mate 9 through xda so not all functions work)
tried:
- fastboot flashing system.img, boot.img and revovery.img from update.zip (MHA-L29C432B176) from "techora"
--- this ended up as a boot loop
- flashing the update.zip through twrp but i got an error message for unknown command (probably because update.zip is not made for twrp)
- using dload/UPDATE.APP using ext sd card after flashing recovery.img but nothing happened, cant access internal storage so cant move the dload folder there
- hisuite system recovery but rejected my phone because it is unlocked ... tried to relock phone but still got rejected
please help ;^;
Thanks
Got it working but not optimal
how i got it working with fastboot and twrp:
flashed romaur1.5 along with system.img from a MHA-L29C636XXX full update zip
the boot img from that was a bit messed so flashed KangVIP custom rom boot.img (dont flash the whole rom there tons of chinese bloat) ---- i probably didnt need to flash the romaur, just system.img and boot.img
that fixed everthing kinda. the os booted fine but there was a messed keyboard (google voice keyboard that didnt work) so i skipped everthing and installed a google keyboard apk, then went into Settings to redo the startup things i didnt do. The other problem is that my phone is permenantly rooted with SuperSU, cant uninstall or update through the app :/ factory resetting didnt remove the root (after flashing the stock recovery.img from update.app)
Thats all..

SuperSU is in boot.img so you'd have to restore that to get rid of root.
You could use this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108
To get back to your old version or get to B190. Backing up /data is recommended if you're decrypted, or backup using titanium or similar. (that's if you want to unlock bootloader again after it's done, since it does a factory reset.)
Or you could try flashing system.img directly in twrp, to the /system partition. Youd have to flash your boot.img for B176 for this though.

I've tried that, and it doesnt work for me, going to try different boot.img from another post on xda
lol that didnt work because my system image was too old, i flashed a newer version of supersu and it installed systemless and uninstalled my old one
You could have just downloaded your update.zip, taken out update.app, extracted system.img and made a flashable zip.
