You don't... Rooted and custom rom have nothing to do with using it on another carrier. Sprint is CDMA. AT&T is GSM not possible.

I am getting a GS3 from a friend that he had flashed to metro from sprint. Assuming it had a good esn and he says it does, can it be flashed back to sprint?

I have the LG G3 on a custom Rom for Tmobile. I'm switching over to At&t tomorrow and taking the phone with me. Can I just install a stock based rom over my tmobile stock rom or do I need to follow a method. Please and thank you for any support or point in the right direction.
Its Rooted with TWRP installed already.

Yes you can. But roms don't affect what carrier there on.

Awesome! I never took my phones with me when I switched carriers so I always had to start fresh so I wasnt sure if I needed to go to stock in order to remove any tmobile bloatware.. Thanks

Yeah the rim does not affect the carrier. Why where you running a D851 rom on a D850? Wifi calling?

You dont really need to do anything as TM and ATT use the same LTE bands and share IMEI databsae info. I had a TM note3 that I used on ATT until I got a G3. The ATT sim will register you on the network and you'll want to make sure you have the correct APN settings ( The ATT store can do it while your there or can tell you what's needed) The only issue I had was the TM modem didn't always get great signal and wouldn't place calls in some areas. Not sure of G3 but ATT modem wouldn't flash on my note 3 via odin or otherwise... Cheers!

I have a D851 with tmobile service at this moment
So right now I confused about I can't turn on hotspot and never get software up.
Is that because my att phone with tmobile network?
If is please tell me how to fix it? maybe get tmobile rom?
Put an att Sim card in the phone and then it should allow you to update the software

I need to Carrier Unlock my Rooted Verizon Galaxy S3 4.4.2, there are no custom ROMs installed, i rooted it using towelroot method, anyway i can carrier unlock this to use any SIM like t-mobile/att/sprint/ or any international services? also i heard i need APNs, what are APNs and how do i acquire them? Thanks in advanced.

APNs are used to identify what network a phone is on or used on. It's carrier unlocked out of the box/from the factory.

It's inside the system settings. If it's not there you can't change it

TMobile. You'll need the apn settings from the carrier your on
However you should only have to add the sim and it should recognize it automatically

I'm using an unlocked s8+ on Sprint network. Everything works include Wi-Fi calling. But I didn't get any update for call plus like Sprint version did.
Is there any way to add call plus on unlocked s8+? Hope I don't have to flash Sprint firmware.

Just for updates, I flashed Sprint firmware and been using the call plus feature - I like it.
The only problem is I can't dial certain numbers, like #CHP or #NHP.

I just flashed my phone with Sprint firmware. Are you supposed to get the Sprint splash screen? I didn't.....I cant find the Calling Plus setting. Where is it?
PS. Just checked....no internet while on a call. So, not working, why?
