Issue
I think that last bit of info is what's giving me troubles. It doesn't seem like any of the drivers I can find, those on my phone included, will install on Win10. I've tried every available compatibility setting, and still nothing at all happens when I try to run any of the driver installers. Is there any way to achieve root that doesn't involve me spending a week setting up a Win7 VM just to install a driver?

I just began using android smart phones about 6 months ago and I just recently upgraded my phone to the Alcatel Onetouch Idol Mini but I am trying to find ADB USB drivers for my phone but I have had no luck. I have even tried to search on Google. I was wondering if anyone knows of where I can download ADB USB drivers at that will work with my phone

Might I suggest searching Google for Alcatel Usb drivers. Seems to be many places to find them. Put your actual model number in the search as well. Also, the manufacturer site seems to have drivers.
Adb doesn't need special drivers. If your pc sees your device properly, so should adb.

I found the correct ADB Drivers for my phone and they are working correctly

My son rooted his Alcatel Idol X and all was working fine. He did not alter the ROM version. After updating the phone, everything went wrong. SIM card not detected - we've bought new ones, tried in other phones, so not the card itself. Sleep button doesn't work, have to power off and on. Screen freezes at times, but this is not a huge issue. Have tried factory reset, no difference. Phone is only 3 months old, and is the only way I can communicate with my son during the day (14 yr. old). Your help with this would be greatly appreciated. Other apps, wifi working. Thanks! Esther

Might I also suggest you be sure to find out from your son if there is anything at all else that he did with the device recently? If you don't have all the exact details, getting the proper help may be difficult. ?

I have the STRAIGHT TALK ALCATEL A995L One touch pop mega serial number A995L it is a 6 inch phablet and I have tried for days now to find a rooting method. I have rooted phones before with no problems but this one I cant. If you could help me out I would be grateful. when you look for cwm ect the searches show the hero that it not my phone. I have a serious problem with my Alcatel andoid one touch EVO 7HD that is locked to debugging mode mode. I bought this device 6 months ago, used it. some how, it got locked. I tried tpen the whole phone and it did open, however, it came to hold, where it describes that the phone is in a DEBUGGING MODE. How can I enable this debugging mode on the phone?

I have a dragon touch e71 tablet on android 4.4.2 and I need to root it. I have tried all the one click root methods and all nonpc methods and have had no success. is there not some way to do your self what these programs are trying to do?? im super interested but am not very tech savvy. I have a windows 8 lp top and a usb cable and a tablet and all the time in the world.
