Hi,
I just bought a second hand xperia M2 Aqua in sweden. But when i plug my connect my phone to PC companion everything is in Turkish (according to google translate). As far as i know the custom firmware, or something, is turkish.
Is there any way i can change the firmware back to nordic/original? Im currently running 5.1.1
On the box the phone came with it says:
D2403
SI 1288-4599.3 NO, FI, IS, SV, DA
and then i check the service menu *#*#7378423#*#* and go to the service menu i get the following info:
Phone software info: 1286-4792_18.6.A.0.175 Generic user
Filesystem version: GLOBAL-LTE_18.6.A.0.175
S1 boot version: 1274-7024 Si_Boot_MSM8x26_LA1.0_39
Customization Version: 1288-7206_R3C
I would relly appriciate some help with this. I've tried to youtube and google it but I can't find any solution.
Just select English language when you turn it on should be the first thing it asks you. Each ftf has every language already installed.

The displaylanguage is correct. But when i open the phone in pc companion the language change to turkish, and some games connects to the wrong server.

I have a D6653 bought from HK, but I live in Philippines so I am going to flash it with Philippines market since they are both D6653 so I downloaded this via XperiFirm (see attachment #2)
I am following this guide: xperiablog.net/2015/03/17/guide-to-installing-xperia-lollipop-using-xperifirm-and-flashtool
However I am lost in the part of FlashTool and I have to put a brandingsee attachment #1)
in the guide they put "Generic Nordic", what should I put in mine? Also I only intend to flash since I want to change the region to where I currently live, can I still get future updates via OTA/PC Companion for my flashed region (PH) after flashing mine?
Branding texts doesn't matter, it's only for your own administration. Just call it customised ph or something else. It doesn't matter how you name it, the output is always the same (in this case your downloaded customised ph firmware)

So if my flash my phone for Customized PH, will I get updates for Philippines via PC Companion / OTA in the future?
Thanks.
I have downloaded system update in .ftf file for xperia m2 (d2303) and I want to flash it with flashtool. And here it is my question - .ftf is version 18.3.1.C.1.15_IT and the latest update from my POLISH operator (PLAY) is 18.3.1.C.1.13. So if I flash that with .15_IT (i think that IT means ITALY) will everything be ok? Will it work so I could use my network and everything? Nothing is rooted or unlocked (I will do it later this month).
Thanks for answers
I guess it should be fine. I have flashed versions for Spain, Croatia and France and I dont live in either of those countries. Everything worked. I think the only difference is in the apps that are packaged inside. Just go ahead and try it, if I was wrong, you can always flash another version, for Poland or some other.
Thank you for answer. I'll try and hope it works
Will be fine as long as you only download the correct ftf for your device I.e. Only D2303 I started on UK ftf then changed to Customized tw as that was the only jb rom I could find. Now back on customised UK only difference is the apps that come pre-installed

Hello everyone
Can someone provide a torrent, google drive, or mega.co link for the FTF of the stock Sony Xperia M2 D2306 for Fido/Rogers Canada?
In an attempt to root the device, I Flashtool'ed a Jellybean FTF and it bootlooped. I threw it into download mode, and flashed the only available D2306 FTF on here, which is for Brazil and it works fine, but even after setting the language on first boot to English/Canada or English/US, system notifications such as "USB Connected" are still in Portuguese.
If someone can tell me how to change it properly to English/Canadian or even US English, that would work as well.
Thanks!
EDIT: Bootloader locked, can't be unlocked. Can't install CM or similar. Repair device in Sony PC Companion does so successfully, but issue still persists after.
You can make it on your own with Flashtool. Select XperiFirm (last icon on the right) select M2 D2306, wait til it's downloaded. Close XperiFirm and wait Flashtool to finish creating of ftf. When done, you'll have ftf in user/.firmware folder.
Good Luck.

Hello guys,
today i flashed the new Lolipop 5.1.1 ROM via FlashTool but i lost my imei code and the 2 SIMs not working anymore and this happened to me after flashed wrong ROM, i flashed D2303 ROM and my mobile D2302 and i can't flash D2302 ROM as i get error when i try.
, please HELP me how i can fix this problem.
D2302
Official 5.1.1
any help plz ????
Just type *#06# on the dialpad.
it's appear as null there is no imei
First of all try to repair the phone with PC Companion. I have been reading in other phones the IMEI was going and coming depending on the custom kernels one was flashing. But that shouldn't be your case. If after the phone repair it still doesn't work try to flash KK again. The IMEI is ROM related so wiping the data should have little or no effect (but one never knows. Anyway the phone repair wipes it).
Do you have locked bootloader? If so it's quite weird (and bad) that the IMEI has gone. But if you're still under warranty Sony must fix/replace it for free.

As I wrote use the official PC Companion from Sony (and not Flashtool). It has an option to repair the phones. It will download itself the last firmware for your phone and flash it (you must have at least 80% of battery). Also it may happen that you need to tell the program which is your phone (D2302 I suppose, then) so be sure not to mess up on that.

Now when i try to connect the phone with the PC Companion it appear as D2303 not D2302!! I can change it from the options? Or there any way to delete this ROM?
Are you sure it is a D2302? I'd see if there is a way to check in the Sony support site which one is your exact model using the imei number. Or in the phone box, if you still have it. I think PCC does have an option to chose the model afterward. Unfortunately I can't help you more than this, I have no experience on repairing the phone in such a situation. But be sure to use the CORRECT model. That is a must.

It's D2302 because this on the Box, Can you mention who can help me plz cus i rrally need to fix this phone
I don't have the PC version (I am on OS X) but it should work in the same way. Disconnect the phone from USB (if connected), start PCC, go to "repair phone" and there it shows a list with all Sony's phones. Select your model (D2302) and then continue. I can't check after that because it should start downloading the ROM and I've a restricted internet quota. Still it should be just a matter of following the PCC instructions.
I read somewhere that Sony put SUS in PC Companion but I never try it, so it should work as Miche1asso said. I'll try it when I'm home.

It should detect it automatically whenever I use pcc it knows what model my m2 is what firmware I'm Running.

Yes, but the thing is, if your phone doesn't boot, you can press repair select phone model, connect in flash mode, flash. Just like SUS did. And it even remember the phones that were connected to PC Companion so it's easy to choose. Good work Sony.

It didn't when I connected it in flash mode. Which has been actually a bit surprising. I never used it in full, but if it is as I think that thing can soft brick a phone instead of repairing it.
What's SUS by the way? o.0
Sus is the previous version of sonys pcc

Hello
I just updated to lollipop via the pc companion but for some reason the phone is refusing to accept any sim cards or anything i can even see an option in the settings to search for a network and i can't do emergency calls either.
Any ideas ?
thanks
Really? Wow, i thought that was made by a bad FTF flash.
Can you please try flashing a 4.4.4 FTF for your model? You can grab one from my Download Centre.

Although I have working android, there is no SIM and also I am not able to flash any new recovery or boot.img .
I ihave downgraded to KK and JB but had the same problem. when I check the unlock status it is:
Rooting Status: Unknown.
also for sim properties I have:
[ ] Network 0
[ ]Network Subset 0
[ ]Service Provider 0

[ ]SIM 0
Some one knows the solution?
NO SERVICE after update lollipop
Hi, same issue here.
After my D2305 updated to lollipop, its run perfectly in day 1. But, inday2 my device wont detect any sim card.
I use FTF from Algeria. And my sim card is Indonesia sim. I already try with 3 different sim cards, it still say NO SERVICE.
Any solution for my problem?
thanks...
I hav same issue..and same network status after going service menu.
Same here. Nobody can help us? Pleease
Try to repair with PC companion if you have looked bootloader. "Rooting Status: Unknown is shown if device can't read bootloader state, that doesn't mean it can't be unlocked" something like this says NUT.
Good Luck!

I got the same issuse, i've been looking for a fix but no luck yet. However... i read a post of some guy (Don't remember his name), and he said that there is no way to fix it, he said something about a new board. Basically take it to repair. I'll place the link to his post here whenever i find it.
