yes, you can if you follow the unlock steps from htcdev.
it tells you, you can relock it by
fastboot oem lock

so will the htcdev have a record that I 've unlock the bootloader before?
and how can I make it to be "locked" instead of "relocked" ?
tks
Not sure about it going on record, but no, as of now there is no way to make it say locked again *that I'm aware of*.
Htc will know you had unlocked it before but others probably wont see it since I've exchange my HTC One X at bestbuy after the unlock without issue ... did not even relock it !
anyway if you're lucky by the time your phone briked maybe DEV will have found a way to change relock to lock hope this will come with the s-off/s-on ...

if so, don't force to unlock your phone, because it will end up hard brick!
If it says no, it's no. Nobody but Sony can change that. Fact.
My name is Dante, and i have the xperia M2 d2305, and it says Unlock Bootloader allowed: NO ,
And i have read that i change it by free or anything, my questions are :
1) What happens if i try it anyways ? does anyone know ? will it brick or bootloop or will it work ? i dont want to and i would prefer to dont take such a big risk.
And...
2) Is everyone totaly sure that i cant change it and unlock it ? i would really like to unlock it so i can install cm in the future (not so far future...).
Anyway, thanks to everyone and sorry for my english.
Greetings from Argentina.
You can ask your carrier to make your bootloader unlockable I guess

No, you can't, AFAIK only in Spain you can change Unlock Allowed: No to Yes if you don't have SIM lock.
but what if i try to unlock it anyway ? did anyone tried ? would i get a bootloop or something worse ?
It wont proceed. In most cases it is not allowed when the phone is carrier-locked. If your phone is sim free then you should ask you carrier to unlock it for you
I have a D2303 with locked bootloader , i want to unlock it but in service info is telling me i can't unlock it , the flastool tells me same thing what should i do ? i want to unlock it but it seems to be not possible , i also tryed the thing with SDK from internet it's too tricky , what shoult i do? what addvantages i got if i unlock it ? i'm new on Sony devices i moved from Samsung recently and i'm a bit confused :silly: any help is welcome .
It's impossible to unlock...
Is it simlocked? If it's simlocked to some network you are unable to unlock the bootloader. If you unlock the phone, you will be able to unlock the bootloader

I had several phones that were sim locked and I was unable to unlock the bootloader. After sim unlocking them I was able to unlock the bootloader. The same goes for the Xperia M2, it was locked on T-Mobile MK, after unlocking the phone I was able to unlock the bootloader.

So, I assume that if I flash a debranded firmware from Xperia M2 (My cellphone can't unlock Bootloader about the "[x]Newtork 10" is locked in SimLock) may unlock the bootloader without any troubles? Is that so? Or I'm mistaken?
If I'm correct, that'd be amazing, I'd like use other ways to personalize my phone but I can't 'cause of the stupid Bootloader xDD.
Thanks!

Debranding basically removes all the bloatware that slow your phone down. You can't sim unlock with debranding, only with special code provided by some other sim unlock sites/ebay

Exactly that. Try to enter it correctly because there is a limit on how many times you can enter to network unlock code. If it doesn't work on KitKat, downgrade it to 4.3 and enter the code. I had similar problem where I was unable to unlock on KK but on 4.3 worked fine.

Well, about that, I have a "plan", or, better said, a contract between the carrier and the cellphone, so, I must wait for two days to complete the "legal" contract. So, after that, I guess that I can unlock the device and then, unlock bootloader.
Thanks for everything!
Hello guys!
I'm trying to unlock bootloader of my Z3 the official way but i have a problem.
First my phone says "bootloader unlock allowed : no" and then when i try to unlock it it says "failed".
Here are pictures that will explain my problem.
Is there any way that i can unlock it?
Thank you in advance!
The bootloader unlock on your device is sadly not possible as far as I know. As long as it states "bootloader unlock allowed: no" it will always fail to unlock it.

No, if it says no, it cannot be unlocked. There is no way for it to be done. Endex
