Hide root - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

Hi, I just got shomi and nhl from Rogers and I'm unable to pay it bc my device is rooted. I trIed root cloak (xposed and play store app) ashes it doesn't work. Any other app worth trying? Thank you

You can try then xposed module called unwatch. It hid my root from airwatch when root cloak didn't work.

I heard that also breaks the su completely... Is there any other side effect? Like brick or boot loop?

I just tried it and shomi still doesn't work. Error 3023, which they THINK it's bc of root. I think it's true since my gf note 5 works without issue.

not sure what to say. i can do a recording next time i go to the store, show you i have root. hide root. then activate android pay and purchase something. its worked for me no problem.

adblock was the issue
Same thing happened to me, disabled adblocker. works fine now.
no need to change root or super user.
Also none of my youtube history was being saved from phone. adblocker was reason for that as well.

Any updates to this? Other known apps that may cause this or a workaround to it.
Seems I'm plagued with this same error. Also rooted, but no adblocker to speak of. None of the root hider apps have worked

Is there an easy way to temporarily disable root?

A live TV app from my cable provider seems to be crashing on rooted system and only runs on non-rooted devices.
I am running ARHD and of course am rooted. Is there an easy way, lets say an app that can disable/enable root on the fly? I have heard of such an method for the S3 where you could disable root and it would be automatically rooted again on a reboot.
Thanks

You can disable root in Superuser. I saw this "trick" at androidworld.nl. It seems the solution. I hope it works for you, then it will work for me either.
You have also root keeper in tne market. Work nice for unroot temperally
Thanks guys, turning off super user in the super user app does the trick for me!

I was looking for this for a long time. So simple ... Thanks.
Hi guys I'd like to know if there has been any developments in this since the upgrade to4.3 and 4.4 superSU no longer has the ability to turn off root and the voodoo app only works on 4.2 or less.
Thanks in advance

Get your MSL for Android 4.3

Hey there,
Have you tried getting your MSL using apps from Google Play? It will no longer work. Why? As of Android 4.3 the MSL is no longer stored in your build.prop ro.ril.MSL. So the apps that use the command getprop ril.MSL will no longer work.
The solution? download the SPC/MSL Reader from flash-it-now.

I'm rooted so I temporarily disabled supersu and it still worked. So I'll say no. It does not require root. Try it and let me know if I'm right? :cyclops:
Im not root yet. Just got s4 3 hours ago and app got msl with no root.

You could always boot to a stock rom and get your MSL then NANDROID back to ASOP.
Awesome!
Thanks SOOOOO much! Works like a charm on stock 4.3 with no root.
Yeah it does work 100% on stock later on that day I nandroid then went to sacs and ram the app perfect

works great thank you so much
Works great on GS3 4.3 Odex Knox free
works on NoWizAOSPmod rom s4
Evidently the Note 3 and the S series are different enough to keep it from running. AT&T (N900A) stock, no root. Press read and it hangs. Have to turn the screen off, then on, unlock and kill.
I am new to the forums and im just wanting to get to know everyone and I am also wondering what a MSL is I could probably google it but I thought is get it from the community and try to get a feel for the place

you dont select it you add to list, but it should already be in cloak list
Just a thought too if you haven't tried or didnt realize, google wallet appears to work well on the M8 and is what I have been using and just disabled Isis instead of dealing with all the workaround nonsense. The only reason I could see to use it was for the $40 promo but from my understanding you have to sign up for some american express service to get it which I also did not want to bother with.
Well root cloak worked. Updated xposed and couple restarts and all good. Isis worked. The reason I hoped it would is pop machines seem to be going isis around d where I work.. Just handy to have.

I cant get isis mobile wallet to work it keeps picking up root. I have tried the rootcloak plus also and also rootcloak plus through xposed and isis keeps picking up root, and this was with the isus verizon activity app added to the list to block and there are no other verizon apps on the list to block. Anyone ?
Figured it out working now.

You have two of the best in titanium and supersu. Greenify is another good one also. I'd suggest a file manager also like root Explorer or even root browser free from the play store. RE is however not free. It's mostly a personal preference

Alright, I just noticed that my flash counter is somehow custom. I haven't flashed anything, I'm still on stock. I noticed it first happened with Wanam Xposed when I rebooted it for the first time with it so then I uninstalled it. How do I change it back to official, or does it matter even though my warranty is expired?

Xposed is very volatile. In my experience Xposed runs fine as long as Wanam isn't in the picture. I said screw Wanam at 2.7.3 once it started fc all my apps. Had to nand to recover. But if you're on a stock OTA...I understand a flashoholic has to get a fix somehow lol

I'd suggest supersu and supersu pro and pro of course isn't free but really worth it.
Here is supersu
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu
And SuperSu Pro
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu.pro
Titanium backup also is a great app along with the pro version which in the long run is well worth it.
I'm not sure about busybox and titanium however, I'll leave that to someone who knows

Well, I am moving in that direction. Today, I revived what I perceive to be "bloatware". My (now rooted and superusered) es file manager was able to block the startup of some pesky "system" files that seemed unimportant. Examples are Yahoo news and stock daemon.
