Brilliant work. Good UI and design. Something I've needed for so long and the ability to send notifications sets it apart. But the problem is that only a few of my friends have the application so I'm not able to send notifications to everyone. Woudn't it be better if you could just send whatsapp message or something directly? Anyways, good work.

Thanks. As for integrating with whatsapp, whatsapp does not provide an api through which you could directly send notifications. The process for sending notifications was thought over many times before implementation and this is the best way I could come up with given the circumstances because this application needs to work in offline mode and needs to provide usability to users who do not wish to create an account.

UPDATED 19 Dec 2016
- Add Widget
- Add support for tablets
- Add backup/restore function
- Bug fixes and UI improvements
- New animations

Very interesting and useful features

[APP][3.0+] Twalk | Keep up on Twitter, hands free

Twalk
Keep up on Twitter, hands free
Hello everyone - first time I've posted one of my apps here. I created Twalk because I simply couldn't keep up on all of the people I follow on Twitter (@g0blinResearch). There are a few apps out there that claim to do what Twalk does, but are either paid, do not do the job very well, or requested write access to your Twitter account.
Twalk is, and always will be not only free, but ad free. No "pro" features, no micro transactions to unlock the apps full potential. Twalk will only ever request read access to your Twitter account via OAuth. The resulting access keys are only ever used by the Android app, and are not communicated to anywhere else.
If you have any feedback - no matter how harsh, or critical - PLEASE share it. I know the app could do with improving, both visually and functionally, but so far for me it works as I wanted it to, and as such I wanted to share it with the public.
Thanks!
James H
Twalk is aimed at people who do not have the time to check Twitter constantly through the day for new Tweets, and at people who have trouble reading their Twitter feed, due to visual impairment.
Your home feed will be monitored, and read out as and when Tweets arrive using Androids Text to Speech (TTS) engine.
Network access is required to request authorization via OAuth to your Twitter account, and to check your home timeline every 80 seconds for new activity. Permission to monitor for boot completion is required to allow Twalk to start upon boot of your device.
Twalk was developed to do one thing, and one thing well. Development of Twalk is on-going - feel free to submit suggestions to us for features via reviews, or email.

Thank you I would appreciate if you could share your experience after a few days of usage: any features you are missing, possible UX improvements, etc.
From my initial trial of it it looks quite good but I can't figure out the following
1) how do you create a new list/edit a list
2) dm someone
3) follow a specific hashtag topic
4) mute a specific hashtag
How can I turn off the signature?
So far I like your app, but one of my biggest problems is I'm very new to Twitter so I'm not quite sure how it supposed to run. BTW, what's the icon with a box with an arrow pointing down for?

Deadline.live - Personal Safety & Medical ID
Deadline.live combines aninnovative check-in system with a highly visible medical ID to provide the best possible personal safety app.
Deadline.live acts as a fail-safe in emergencies such as low sugar level. A common use case is to set the 'deadline' for 8 hours, or however much you sleep. In this situation, if you do not wake up or are unable to reach your phone within 8 hours, an SMS is sent to your emergency contact. It's also possible to get your friends & family to download the app, link with you, then track and update your location in emergencies such as this. We also offer other personal safety app features such as medical ID & a panic button.
Our medical ID system displays as a notification on your phone 24/7. In an emergency those nearby can look at your phone, tap the notification, and be shown custom information and how to help you. It even works with locked phones!
Comprehensive personal safety
Check-in system - Check-in with Deadline.live every set amount of hours else your emergency contact and those monitoring your deadline will be notified! We'll protect you when you can't.
Panic button - Use the panic button to immediately notify your emergency contact and those watching you that you need help!
Reminders & Alerts - We'll remind you if you're about to miss your check-in. If you do happen to miss it, we'll send out alerts to your emergency contact and anyone watching you through the app.
Smart medical ID
Customisable medical ID - Decide exactly what you want to display and when you want to display it.
High visibility - When enabled, your medical ID will appear as a notification on your phone 24/7. Double tap to open it.
Passsword not required - Your medical ID will still be accessible from a locked phone. Those assisting you will have no trouble finding it!
Real-time monitoring
Watch friends & family - Enhance your personal safety by getting your friends and family to download the app and request to watch you.
Location updates - In emergencies your friends and family will be able to request location updates for your phone's position.
Call them - They'll also be able to call your personal number and see your emergency contact.
Pro features
Remove ads - Stops showing any ads
Auto deadline - Automatically refreshes your deadline whenever you unlock your phone.
Voice activation - Enables voice activation for the panic button (beta feature)
Removes watch limits - You can watch/be watching more than one person.
Removes deadline limits - Your deadline can be any time up to 168 hours..
=====================================================================
Hi everyone. I came up with the idea for this app after getting annoyed with my own chronic illness (t1 diabetes). I entered & won a start-up competition with the idea and built the app soon after. It's my first released app and I was new to android dev when I started it so it's very much been a learning process. I'd love to see what you all think or if you have any suggestions!
Promo codes for a 30 day free trial are available at request!
