Marshmallow (Android 6.0) for Lenovo A6000 - Miscellaneous Android Development

Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) is out for Nexus devices & soon will hit the other Flagship devices. Lenovo India responded to my query abt the Marshmallow update as "No Info available".Most of the Guys know how long it took A6000/Plus to get lollipop update (Device launch in March & lollipop in September) as in the case of India. I am still seeing a lot of queries about the Lollipop update abt the Lenovo A6000/Plus in Lenovo's Twitter page for some other countries. So even if Lenovo is going to update the A6000/Plus,it will be a long wait..
I am requesting Developers here to develop a Marshmallow ROM for the Lenovo A6000/Plus from Nexus Stock ROMs if possible ,so that everyone can taste the Marshmallow sooner?
What do You Guys say?

Anything we can do to get Oreo ?

Android Oreo was just announced and our device is not even in the expected updates list. How can Lenovo do this?. Old phones like k3,k4,it and vibe x2 are expected for an update. How is this fair? Can't we do anything to request an update for our phone?

When I go to the official Lenovo page (to the upgrade matrix) it says status completed on all these phones. None is getting Oreo.
No need of Oreo update from Lenovo. One Dev has to download the Oreo aosp repo and build it. If device tree, vendor tree and kernel source is present we can compile any ROM. Bugs may be there but the Dev has to fix.

Bruuuhh. We haven't gotten a stable Leanoge OS 14 ROM and u say we'll get an Oreo one. That'll take all least 3-4 years. And even if we get an Oreo ROM within 2 yrs it's not gonna be bugless. Stock ROM ensures no bugs with VoLTE support.

Do you really think building a bugless custom ROM is a first time success thing!
If a proper set of device tree and vendor blobs are available, may be. But our device had a crappy device tree released with is why Mike had to compile it from scratch.

Predictable. BTW, Lenovo should provide regular security and bug fixing patchs for at least a year. I wish only that Mike could make a near perfect rom (with hotspot and led working) so we can migrate from stock to Oreo.

Nothing in that article states we will get Oreo, it's all ifs buts and maybes.
No biggie
I'm not sweating it - can't see any improvements on O to get excited about and most updates usually break something in my experience. P2 is a great phone and should last another year
where did that screen grab of lenovo oreo updates come from? was it leaked?
the official list doesnt show any oreo upgrades confirmed yet:
https://t.co/ytsMrKFFye
when i tweeted lenovo they said :
Thanks for writing in. Google just recently released the Oreo update. We don't have any official list yet
Guys in lenovo update matrix.... No phone getting 3 updates in a row??
Which means no oreo update for lenovo P2 But there is a hope of getting android oreo update because i think lenovo P2 is the only phone getting 1 marshmallow update( minor bug fix update security patch) and 2 nougat updates( firmware and major bug fix security patch update) which lenovo gives due to many of people saying there are bug in the nougat update like lip sync youtube issue and lenovo gives the update
Which means lenovo developers team may be provide the oreo update?
And one thing no oreo update in lenovo update Matrix doesn't mean that it not going to provide the Oreo update and what it means that there are no plans for now!!!
