The official version of the Samsung Pay app for Verizon phones is in the Google Play store now, but it's not working properly. Everyone who has installed it gets a message, "Update failed. Failed to download the latest version. Try again later." It also generates a notice, "PaymentFramework_VZW installation failed."
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.spay
FWIW, someone on Android Central contacted Samsung. They confirmed it is the legit version, but they say it isn't going live until October 20.
Downloaded fine for me and installed security policy update, but stays on screen showing that security policy update is required. I did see in the Play Store that it isn't going live until 10/20 though, so we'll see.
I am on an OE2 rooted device with the SU Binary removed and SU App hidden by Hide My Root. FWIW, Android Pay is installed and working.

The whole thing is strange. Verizon's CSRs have been saying that it "should" work now -- and it apparently does work on some Note 5's -- but Samsung says it won't be activated until the 20th, when Verizon releases a second system update at noon.
Not showing up in the store now, maybe they took it down.

Still showing up for me, but I've heard several people (especially those with Note 5's) say they can't see it. Here's the link that works for me: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.spay

I have been checking for the past 2 days and the link still does not work for me. Hopefully tomorrow it will work for all. I have a Galaxy S6 and I did get the update from Verizon to my device.
For those that have the app appearing in the play store can you please post your version of the Samsung Pay Framework and the Software build on your devices? I am looking to see if there is any patterns.
Ok, people, let's think logically here, shall we?
1.) People complained because it was on the playstore but not working. It was pulled and now people complain because they can't find it on the playstore. Come on people...really? I think people just want something to complain about.
2.) This is one I fell into because I had a laps in judgement. The fact that we had to find a link to find it in the playstore should be an indication that it wasn't ready to be downloaded yet. Clearly, Samsung wanted to go ahead and have it loaded up there, but keep it hidden until it was time to release it publicly.
I for one am glad they decided to pull it. It was getting negative reviews before even going live because people (myself included, I admit) did not think.
Check the app store again. Samsung updated it about two hours ago, and the new app is loading perfectly. I was able to install it, app three cards (2 Citibank and Amex), and run to the store to try it out. (Worked well.)
Note that all this happened without a second Verizon OTA update.
Weird....I was on here and clicked on the link and it took me to the Samsung pay app and I tried downloading it and it kept saying I needed to sign into my Google account. Which I am. So I finally booted to recovery and cleared my cache and now when I try and click on the link, it says not found.

It just pulled up for me (kept refreshing the link and it just now showed up). Got it installed. Now time to test it out!
Finally worked for me! Can't wait to test it out!
It finally showed up for me. It downloaded and installed. When I open Samsung pay I get a message that says a software update is required. When I click the update button, Samsung pay closes and I get a pop up that says unfortunately Samsung pay had stopped. I am on OC3.

You need to be on OG9 for Samsung Pay to work.
Installed Samsung Pay from the Play Store but had problems validating my American Express credit card. When I tried to activate, I got a message that a validation code had been sent to my email and I needed to enter that code into the Samsung Pay app to get validated. However, it took so long for the code email to arrive that I think the app timed out and gave me a message that the code was invalid. This repeated 5 or 6 times and eventually I was told to validate by calling American Express. This worked.

With today's announcement of Samsung Pay's impending release in the US, I was wondering how one might get involved in the beta testing. According to The Verge, " 'select US users' will be able to take part in a beta test beginning on August 25th." Any way to sign up to be one of those "select users" or will they hand it out semi-randomly?
Sorry. I'm guessing this should be in Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I hear ya. I've resisted doing a full root (did pingpong) to see how this would turn out. When I upgraded in April it was this feature that made me go for the S6 instead of the Note 4. I'm hoping someday someone somewhere will find away to have both root and Samsung Pay. For now, I'm just keeping my options open until I can decide if it's worth it.

I've found the link to be able to download the Samsung Pay Beta .apk file but I haven't figured out how to get it to install. Does someone else want to try? I'm stuck on a Samsung S6 Edge running 5.0.2. I wonder if you have to have 5.1.1 to run it.
Korea Link - https://kr.mpay.samsung.com/apk
US Link - https://us.mpay.samsung.com/apk
I've only been able to get the Korean link to load. Once I log in with my Samsung account, I can download and install the apk, it even runs, but doesn't go past the start button.....I tried changing the settings for which app is used for tap and pay, and I even changed the advanced nfc settings. Nothing.
Here's a download link for the Samsung Pay .apk file I found on the Korean link. It lets me install it on my Samsung S6 Edge+ running android 5.1.1.

I signed into the following link with my Samsung account and was able to download an apk. Will not install for me though, probably because i'm not on 5.1.1

Normal Samsung account. The Korean website uses the same login and account you just have to translate everything with Google translate it guess what your clicking until you get to the .apk file, but the Samsung account and ID are forsure the same.
I got it installed with the apk i downloaded with my samsung account on 5.1.1, but it doesn't do anything when trying to launch it.

Update: Samsung Pay app available, but it's just an advertisement saying Welcome and that it is coming soon. I found nothing in the Samsung Plus app for signing up for the Samsung Pay beta either. Tick tock...
Ya i got the ota today as well. Theres an icon and when u open it there is just info on it. No option to set it up.
Whats the difference between samsung pay and google wallet?
Sent from my SM-G920P using XDA Free mobile app
Samsung pay supports both NFC and MST. Google wallet, Android Pay, and Apple pay only support NFC. Samsung has the only phones that supports MST. Basicly, it means you can use your phone to pay even when the store has old outdated terminals.

When i do that it opens galaxy apps on my phone (note 5) and i get a message stating app is unavailable. Going to l go to the store tonight or tomorrow and try it to see what happens.

I got the same message. The app is installed on my watch (Gear S2 Classic Platinum with Bluetooth). My phone is a S7 Edge. I get the "This app is not available for your device. (com.samsung.android.samsungpay.gear.2290:4002)" error message. Check occasionally, to see if there is an update to the phone app, but so far nothing. BTW, I have been using Samsung Pay, on the S7 Edge from the day I received it, and it works fine.
Can't they just not make it to where you can select, either Samsung Pay or Android Pay???

I finally found Samsung Pay Beta app, but sadly I got the same error. Gear S2 Classic Bluetooth/Wi-Fi in USA here.
I haven't gotten the watch firmware update yet, but my Gear app on my Note 4 phone just started showing a new link to "Samsung Pay Beta." Clicking on it (so far) gets an error message: "this app is not available for your device."
where do I download app?
New update. Won't let me add any of my Wells Fargo cards at this time, but it would let me add my Amazon Chase Visa. Going to give it a try here in a little bit. Wish me luck!

I've had this watch for a few months using it with my Pixel XL and Samsung pay has been working fine since I got it. Recently it hasn't been working and every time I open the gear app I get a message saying Samsung pay has stopped working. I tried resetting the watch, uninstalling everything related to it from my pixel and set it up as if it was new. Now there isn't even an option for Samsung pay in the gear app and holding the back button does nothing. Does anyone know why it disappeared?

I'm in the U.S. I did hear that the international version doesn't support Samsung pay but it's definitely a U.S version. And it's not in the settings of the gear app. Pretty much everywhere there used to be something about Samsung pay it's now missing from.

Like the title says, is there a PD out there that works on the s22? I need to debloat this phone and the latest version of Package disabler pro doesn't seem to work on the S22. Yeah that's what I've have (3 device cloud copy), it doesn't work on the S22 ultra, at least it didn't for me. It works on my note 9, the older a8 tablet running 11 and the galaxy s8 that i traded in, but all it does on the s22u is keep telling me click and then download and install the knox apk then go back in and keep clicking forever.
It's a knox issue, and i think the guy needs to update something in it.

Part of my massive feedback to Samsung has been for a native package disable on their phones. Not happy with Samsung... they've been disappointing lately.
Use adb app control. It's a PC app but it's free and amazing. You'll never have to waste money on that fleecing app package disabled ever again.

yup, the guy wants you to pay for it every year, but at least he had it fixed within hours.
he also said if it shows up in the play store (google removes it a lot) and you buy it there you're basically screwed for support cause he'll make you rebuy it off his website no matter how long you've owned it.
but it works and you dont have to be a device admin, and once you get it working it stays working.
Not advocating for him, just saying the few things that can be compliments for how he operates
Yeah I appreciate he does support his app. He's been around for a long time and that does say something. At least we have options and we can be happy with what we choose to use. The freedom of android
Anybody try App Freezer yet? Just got my phone and looking to set it up. App Freezer has worked flawlessly on my Note 10+ since day 1.
I haven't tried it or heard of it but I like looking at apps recommended by other users so I'll check it out.
I took the plunge with App Freezer. Even with ADB side loading, install was quick. If you're gonna do it, it's best to do it first, because you have to delete all accounts to set it up. It's worked great on my Note 10+, my Tab S6, and now seems to be running fine on the S22 Ultra.

Yeah it's shady. I paid for it twice and then figured out what he was doing. If he puts it on the store and it gets taken off the store and he gets it put back on you have to buy it again or it won't work when you download to use it. If you get a new phone then it won't work and you have to buy it again. If you go to sleep at night and wake up the next morning then it won't work and you have to buy it again lol. I have two package disabler apps in my apps list and both of them are obsolete.
