Has features like imessage.

Wouldn't that be messages +?

No verizon messages if that's what your referring to is different.

What's bad about it?
I tried it, it seems to be like most other messaging apps.
It has the feature of seeing that the other party is typing as long as they too are using message+.
I didn't like it because it stores all messages including pics in the cloud.

It's going to sound dumb, but my Fiance loves the Samsung emoji. Which the Verizon messages has iPhone ones..

I don't think it sounds dumb. I prefer standard emojis over the Android ones. I've started using handcent again for the background customization, and because it can be set to use standard emojis.

Ah. See she had the iPhone before and this is the only reason she traded for the note 5 because of the enhanced messaging.. But I guess Verizon disabled it and added Verizon messages... IF we had root it wouldn't be hard to get it back probably.

The SwiftKey keyboard has a lot of similar emojis built in but I think as soon as you we it in vz messages it changes. If she didn't have it and you did you emoji in vz messages will come across as the identical one on her app when she gets it. Whether its in stock or hangouts etc.
I use it because if the message sync to my computer and it acts as a backup.
Also the update on the 15th now lets you wifi call on some phones and all the tablets

I tried the VZ Message+ but stopped using it once I realized group texts and some pics to Sprint users weren't showing up. I started using the installed Messages application. I liked the features in VZ Messages+ but until that is fixed I can't use it.

Pebble Watch and GS4

So I just bought the pebble watch for my Galaxy S4. I have been hesitant because of the Samsung bug, but so far the only one I noticed was the video player bars staying there. Anyone else can tell me what this watch is capable of? Or if the issues come up on the phone with time?

I've been using one since May. The talkback bug is there on all Samsung devices but otherwise it's cool. The most usable smartwatch on the market.

I like it but I don't know if its worth the $150 iny head (personally) I want it as more of an extension of my phone rather than just read texts.
What talk back bug are you talking about? I have been trying to duplicate it and can't seem to find it

If you turn on accessibility so that you can get whatsapp messages etc on the watch, then it enables talkback

I have the pebble too and i used cm 10.2. It works great no complaints so far, i was hoping for better notification from whatsapp integration but i just receive a notification that i have a message in whatsapp and not the message itself, was a bummer

Hi!
I've been using my pebble for some time now. I don't use the talk back service, so it doesn't bother me.
I can recommend pebble notifier as well!
I doubt that the bars staying on in video player are because of the pebble, as I remember that I've had that before I even had ordered my pebble.
It has appeared once or twice after that randomly as well and disappeared.

Have you noticed when in a group message?

I just noticed when I was in a group message I could see when the others were typing and when they read my message? Does this only work when messaging others who have the note 5? That was the case but I can't find any options for this
I should mention that I did find settings for "chat" that would allow me to see the others typing and when they have read my message...but I had turned those off before noticing the typing message and had confirmed they were off after noticing.

Here
It's a new implementation baked into Android devices on T-Mobile. The Note 5 and Edge Plus are 3rd and 4th ever to get it, I believe.
Edit: Here you go.

I haven't noticed it texting anyone else so I couldn't tell you. It's funny though, in the group text I was in...two others were in it....both T-Mobile users and both note 5 users...only one person had the "typing" showing when texting

Anyone experiencing a lag or delay when messaging?
Sent from my SM-N920T using XDA Free mobile app
Basically, it's like iMessage for Android. If both phone users have the Advanced Messaging installed on their phones, they will be able to see when the other has read a text or is typing. It's going to be great to see when it is implemented on more devices.

To see the "is typing" while texting go to messages, more, settings, chat settings, turn on share typing indications also if you turn off read receipts than the other person won't see if you've read his messages or not but you can still see theirs if their settings are switched to on
You don't need to be in group text for this to work it seems to only be working with the newer phones, I just upgraded 3 phones 1 note and 2 edge plus' and we tested it out

Yes you will see when someone has read yours or if it's been delivered because they have their settings on, but they will not be able to see it on their end since your settings are checked to off

Samsung "chat" (texts) in the message app are not being delivered

My wife and I both have Galaxy S7 running on Tmobile. We both use the default message app for texting. When Texting her, it is sending it as chat and the message is marked as "Not delivered". Ive had both phones in my hands and can verify the text I sent from hours earlier was not delivered. Please see attachment. Is there any way to fix this to make sure they get delivered? Is there anyway, other than one of us switching to a different messaging app, to force these as text messages and not "chat" messages?
Wish I knew more people with android on tmobile..lots of cool things going on. What theme is that?

Advance Messaging on T-Mobile/MetroPCS GS7 Problem

I have the MetroPCS GS7 but I have the latest T-Mobile firmware installed, since before I even had the T-Mobile firmware I haven't even got advance messaging, it works on my note 4, note 5 and s6 but not the s7, I have the correct apn settings and it saids that I have the feature but it does not work at all I can't see the typing indicator so when the other person is typing I should be able to see it. Video calling works everything works but that !!! Anyone having the same issue ??? I love advance messaging I can't stand not having it.
Can't even get mine to video call
Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
"Share typing indications" is the advanced messaging on the s7. I believe it only works with other s7 phones. You can see when they are delivered, read, and when the other person is typing.

It also works on the S6 Series phones. So as long as each person in the conversation has advanced messaging on their device, you will see the features work. And no, it doesn't work across platforms... Samsung devices messaging an iPhone user will not work.
I can see when my sister is typing from her LG g4
Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
On my note 4, note 5 and my s6 I could see any phone except Iphones including the K7 from Metro and Tmobile, the Grand Prime the only one that does not work is the s7, the phone just has to have advanced messaging and has to be from tmobile or MetroPCS

In the stock messaging app, More>Settings>Chat settings.
It works fine for me, my wife has the G4 and we can see each other typing and when messages have been delivered and read.

Textra. Used it when it first came out, and then went pro shortly after.
Pulse sms is fantastic. You can also Pay the 5.00 and text from anywhere, Tablet, PC, Wear watch. Plus it will back up and encrypt your messages.
