I had a similar issue. My instructions in English my not be exactly like in the phone. I'm translating them.
Go to "Setting/Applications". Select "all" tab. Select Google Play Services. That opens the "Application info" screen. Click the "Space management" button (bottom-right in the top screen) and then in the new screen select "erase all data". Exit. Open Google Play (the app store) to refresh the data.

Hey guys
Whenever I turn on my phone, "Download Music Info" is at the top of my list of battery draining apps normally at about 11% of battery consumption. I have no idea why... I downloaded the Music Info through the Walkman app when I first got Lollipop. I can't disable this app, so I have to force close it every time I start up my phone. Is there any kind of fix to this?
Bumping just in case
I noticed the same problem today.
11.1% on GSAM, it was never there before
Hopefully we can get some feedback
(Im running 4.4.4 btw)
If you were rooted, the easy fix would just be to head over to Titanium backup and freeze it. But i'm guessing u aren't?
So try this. Settings > App > All. Scroll down to Download music info, select it and then clear data. Also do the same for your 'Music' app. The stock Sony one.
Let me know how it goes...
Some days ago the battery performance on my international N915F became very poor and it's been the same since, I'm not sure what is causing it.
I haven't installed any applications around that time, the only thing I can think of is that it was around the time I tried out finger print unlock, I promptly decided that sucked but couldn't switch back to swipe anymore, so I had to clear credentials in security settings to fix that. I have attached some images, it's not normal for Android System, Google Services and Google App to be using that much is it?
Edit: Sorry, I forgot! I'm on stock 5.0.1.
It's horrible
Any custom kernels for tmobile
So i got a z3 its the best i got it rooted with locked bootloader and stock rom on it. I love the xperia Z3 stock rom! The z5p stock rom dissapointed me tho. But you guys know the small apps you have in the multitask: like calc, web browser and timer etc. I have only used the web browser! I really like it as i can browse the same time as i text and stuff! But now, it was working fine but now its just broken. If i press it, nothing pops up and it just says that small apps are running, and it runs there and drains battery, BUT NO! I cant seee it or i cant close it or nothing.. So to close the draining invisible browser app I HAVE TO REBOOT xd.
All other small apps work fine, does ANYONE else have this problem and how can i fix this??? I have 5.0.2 and no matter what i am not upgrading to 5.1.1!
Sorry, can't offer advice, I hate small apps, I can't wait until marshmallow comes out and allows split screen ☺

Hello,
I just changed my phone, the xperia Z2 to Z5. I then reinstalled much of my app, and I must admit it already lag.
There is not an app that blocks the app auto start, and shut them truly when i closed? (without rooting the phone, I'd avoid gun down right away my warranty ^^)
Thank you !

There's functionality to disable selected apps,
disabling Autostart unfortunately isn't possible on the stock ROM
You could try out https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rs.autorun&hl=en , https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.startupmanager
but in the most cases the phone needs to be rooted for these kind of tools to be efficient
Thanks for your quick response, do you know a method to root the phone without loosing the warranty ?
How the hell did you manage to make a 3GB RAM device lag?
Do you use any of those boosters, battery savers, AV's or any other crapware like this?
Yes, I use this kind of tools... Apus, Clean Master, app like that. Do you think they are bull**** ?
I don't know of it exist an app or a option to export all my ram consuming to show you.
There you go. They are all bull$hit. You do not need any of this crap. Uninstall them, give clean master and those other boosters 1 star rating and the device magically becomes faster.
Also be sure to uninstall that AVG as well that came with Z5 (mine did come with it) you honestly don't need that either.
Android can handle it's RAM itself.
Here's a quick and easy guide..
1. Navigate to Settings>Apps
2. Force Stop and disable ALL bloatware and unnecessary Apps..
(just keep in mind, when disabling an App, you MUST also disable the app.. Force stopping it alone won't stop it from restarting).
3. Navigate to Settings>Storage and Clear cache..
4. Reboot device and enjoy a more stable and lag free device, and better battery life.
Oh I almost forgot...
Don't install any of those bulls*** useless battery saving apps, or virus scanners etc.. They do absolutely nothing for your device except take up space, ram and cause the device to lag because of constantly running in the background.. I have trialed many of those apps on previous devices and they did nothing but waste space and ram and cause the device to heat up faster than normal. Since then I've had many android devices and never installed any of those crap apps and haven't had any problems with battery, malware, performance etc..

The Z5 has KSM Enabled by default meaning that it will clean up duplicate info aswell as fairly agressive OOM
You shouldent easily run out of ram but just to keep performance up keep away from the following apps, e.g disable or uninstall
Google search
Google maps
Google photos
Facebook
Any performance boosters or ram cleaners

Flash stock firmware with flashtool, choose to wipe everything
I have updated to Android 8.0.0 a few days ago and so far I have only came across problems and issues with stability and performace.
So the positives about the update:
- The phone definitly is more secure, google did an amazing job on that one, for sure its the safest version on android by far,
- Performance is slighty better
- The skin excluding the icons are very nice, but it just ends here,
And here are the negatives I have come accross:
- The settings menu is kind of broken. On a few ocassions so far there have been no icons next to the text and would disappear unless i closed settings and opened it again,
- When u select for example Security, There are no icons on the left of the text. It just seems lazy from htc that they didnt really finalize the rom, everything seems rushed,
- Files are encrypted by default and impossible to access unless you do a full wipe and somehow remove the decryption(I assume you need to use aroma, but i have no idea how that works),
- Multiple icons are used a lot and there are barely any animations (Example - On youtube when u minimize a video and then reopen it, there is no animation it just teleports the screen to full or minimized. When u pull down the menu from the top, again no animation, it just goes down instantly. When u try to close the applications when u swipe left or right it just does it quickly),
- The secondary display lags a lot i have no idea why,
- When i use bluetooth headphones the audio stutters a lot making watching videos or listening to music really uncomfortable( on htc earphones the audio is fine),
- The rom in general just feels really rushed and unpolished
If anyone is experiencing similar issues please let me know, also if there is a fix for the specified please post it down.
In general its cool that we got the update, but we got a half baked one, with controversial features I would say..
Did you do a factory reset after the update ?

Yes numerous times
Okay so with a simple reset and a visit to the recovery to attempt to delete cache and dalvik cache, bluetooth works fine with my headphones and the secondary display doesnt stutter anymore, yay.
I think the rom is a little bit unstable..

Okay so for some reason my rom is very unstable.
From time to time it stutters a lot while on some ocassions it works smooth, ill probably have to factory reset it
The official Oreo rom lags. The former rom was smoother. I have horrible battery life. The SOT is less than 2 hours and it was around 4 hours. I did a factory reset. This update is a big disappointment.
Give it a few days guys
Guys keep in mind that every time when you update to new android it takes several days till everything settles. With the new version everything (including apps) is scanning, indexing and setting up in background in the first few days.

I have stoсk 7.0, tell me how to roll back to 7.0.
Trouble in Oreo is Temperature over 50-60 degrees
Also noticed the fact that in 7.0 the memory was loaded by 54% in 8.0 the memory is loaded by 70%
Please tell me why the processor operates at maximum frequencies in normal mode?

Did you enable the battery saver option in the quick setting drop down menu?
This option disables the animation.

Better if you go to developer menu and turn off animations

I'm fairly sure that you can do that by the option which is intent on doing so.
The point I was trying to make is, battery saver does not behave like this in the prior versions, and I was assuming that OP thought his ROM was broken somehow because of enabling it.
Just to add my experience with the update first time it soft bricked my phone and had to flash ruu via sd card to get it working again. It now runs but keep finding secondary screen crashes when using sat nav and error message covers the screen! I also get a crash in mail whenever i try to reply to anyone!
