I just bought my HTC One M8 and I decided to root my device (I probably shouldn't have since I am a beginner). I downloaded the Venom Rom and the wifi broke (I forgot to read) and fast forward through a bunch of attempted troubleshooting I am now with a phone and I do not know what to do. Can I get some help please?

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
Ann appropriate RUU may be your only solution at this point, but it's hard to say, as there is a mystery as to what all was done to reach a bricked state.
Please register for an XDA account, so you can post in other forums. From there, please add a post to the following thread:

Hi, I tried flashing gpe rom for my HTC one m7 which is running paranoid beta 3. The flashing went well without any issues but it got stuck at the boot animation screen. I waited for around 25 minutes but nothing happened. Luckily I had backed up my rom so was able restore it. My htc one is bootloader unlocked and rooted though it doesn't show tampered in the fastboot screen but superuser is installed in my phone. I verified whether it has been rooted properly through a root checker app from play store. It turns out that my phone has root access. Similarly I tried installing arhd 81.0 but could not install it. Now I am stuck with paranoid beta 3 which is unstable and reboots automatically. My question to you is why my phone doesn't show tampered in the fastboot screen and why I can't flash the above roms? Please reply

[Q] Need to revert to stock kernel on AT&T HTC One M8, where is the proper kernel?
DISCLAIMER: I am new to this, and may have totally ****ed up, need some help.
Where can I find a working stock kernel for 4.4.2? If all else fails, could TWRP and relocking the bootloader help? I already tried to install the kernel from htcdev.com, kept booting into fastboot.
Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I suggest going over post one here... It can point you towards many useful threads and reading lots of them will teach you tonnes,
> HTC One (M8) > One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Frequently Asked Questions
And if you still need help, you can ask here...
> HTC One (M8) > One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] HTC One M8 - Ask any questions here!
You may want to be more specific if you ask for help.... Like what exactly you fid, and the exact errors or issues you have now... Also what carrier your device is. The more details you provide, the better the help.
Good luck!

I have a htc One M8 GPE and I decided to unlock its bootloader and root it to flash a rom on it. I did not make a backup of my original stock rom before I did this though. I now want to go back to the GPE edition of my phone, but am not able to. I am not even able to turn s-off, I have tried moonshine, sunshine, and firewater, neither of which have worked. Please Help!!
Hi,
I suggest you ask the experts who own your device for help here... You will need to register on XDA to post here,
> HTC One (M8) > One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] HTC One M8 - Ask any questions here!
A few more details when you post there would be good. Like what you did, what you have tried to return to stock... Etc.
Good luck!

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Should be able to just flash the stock ROM through fastboot, unless I'm missing something.
I know a little bit about HTC as I have an older deivce, but nothing about the M8, so it's best to ask in the M8 forum where your device experts are found:
> HTC One (M8) > One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [HELP THREAD] HTC One M8 - Ask any questions here!
Please note, you will need to register for an XDA account (if you don't already have one) before you can post there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!
