Hi all
to get lollipop you have to install india RUU wich can be found on this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-820/development/ruu-stock-fw-desire-820u-dual-sim-t3217030
then you have to download 2 OTA
the first will be 70 MB
the the lollipop update will be about 900 MB
thanx to the poster of india RUU @sshivampp
and this is another way to flash the RUU:
1- lock the bootloader : fastboot oem lock
2- rename ruu file to : 0PFJIMG.zip
3- but the file on sd card and insert it into mobile
4- reboot into bootloader and it will ask you if you want to update
5- press VOL UP to say yes
6- download and install the 2 OTA's
7- congrats you have lollipop
Look it

Hello so i was flashing a custom rom to my htc chacha (isnt the first time) but i dont know what happened now.after i installed the rom in cwm, NOW the phone just boots into bootloader, scans the SD card , and then just freezes..i cant move using the vol. keys or choose fastboot using the power button. Also it shows **locked** above..
Originally the phone had fw number 1.23.502.1 (cingular usa )
Now i was flashing this
Android version 2.3.5 - build (1.57.415.3)
i think i said no after i flashed the unlock token , and the i rooted and installed the rom ? i dont really know .. any ideas ?
i was wondering if i could put update zip in the sd card for the bootloader to scan and install ?
Thanks in advance
"Locked above" means that your bootloader is locked.
Yes i think something went wrong through-out the unlocking process but i did go into cwm and installed the root and the custom rom ... and now this is what i've got.. what do u think i couldd do now ?
HI
i want to update from 4.1 to 4.2 (10.6.1.14.8) and i downloaded this firmware from asus global site
i used this way for last updates :
i decompressed that firmware i downloaded
then i rename it to " EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip " and copy this file to micro sd and insert sd into the tablet
then i power it down then i press and hold VOLUME DOWN and POWER buttons simultaneously
at last i release the buttons ^^ and press VOLUME UP
then the new firmware automatic was installed
my tablet is unlocked and rooted and i installed TWRP 5.0 on it (because i wanted to install superSU on it to root my device) and i don't installed any custom ROMs
i want to update from that way i wrote with that firmware i downloaded from asus global site.
does this way of update causes any problems on my device or not?

You can just download the 4.2 update, unzip it once and put the resulting zip file (no re-naming should be necessary) on you internal or microSD.
Boot into TWRP and flash the update from there.
You do not have the stock revovery anymore, so the tablet will not automatically recognize the update file.
Be aware that if you install the stock rom you will loose TWRP since the stock recovery will overwrite it.
Also back up root and restore after the update. Or, if that fails you can use the Motochopper tool to root JB 4.2.
All that said: If you are unlocked and have TWRP already (and I assume it's version 2.5 - not 5.0?) - why don't you first try CROMi-X???
It's SO much better than the stock rom and if you don't like it, you can always flash the stock rom.
The thread is in the Develoment section. Read the OP and make sure you first flash the correct bootloader for 4.2, then boot back into your old rom before flashing the custom rom.

2 weeks ago I rooted my phone so that i could delete bloatware and customize my htc one m8 but i later found out that i could no longer recieve OTA updates so i unrooted and while trying to relock my bootloader i somehow deleted my stock os and the rooted os and now i can only see the bootloader and go into the TWRP recovery and when i try to flash the stock os from my sd card it says that it's unable to open the zip file
i have a rooted Htc desire 820 with TWRP recovery installed
ihave also downloaded the OTA file from Xda forum about the lollipop update.
now i want to know if i need to update my phone into lollipop i just need to install the zip file thorugh TWRP recovery and that will work right?
and how can i install TWRP recovery after i have lollipop.
Please clear my doubts.
i have gone thorugh mostly every thread about my phone.
i am starting to lose hope here.
Please.:crying:

Look in this Thread. First Page. http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-a9/general/wip-ruu-htc-one-a9-t3240344
You can Download the Rom for your Device as a Zip and name it 2PQ9IMG.zip . Than put the 2PQ9IMG.zip at your external SD Card and boot the Device in Download Mode. Than follow the Instructions on the Display.
