[Q] GPS not working at all with MIUI 2.8.3, any ideas on how to fix?

I'm running MIUI US 2.8.3 on a HTC Sensation and my GPS will not work. It had been discovered that the makers of MIUI had replaced the google location services with Baidu, but it was supposed to be fixed from like 2.7 onward. Before I tried to fix it, my google maps kept telling me I was in China, or half the time wouldn't find any location at all. I did some googling and found threads on the miuiandroid website that said to fix it you need to reinstall a networklocation.apk from a prior release of MIUI. I have done that twice, and neither time it has worked. My gps isn't working at all anymore, and I have no idea how to fix it. I looked at the permissions and I noticed that for default under the permissions it says "android.permission.BAIDU_LOCATION_SERVICE", does this mean it's still trying to run the Baidu location services even though I installed the google one? Is there anyway to change this and if there is would it fix the problem I'm having?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as it seems across the board any thread I've come across has had the problem fixed by installing the google .apks, but that hasn't been the case for me at all.

Forward lookup

Hi all. I recently updated the software to 38R and noticed that forward lookup no longer works on the dialer. I've got the setting ticked and the lookup provider is still Google but nothing works.
Is anyone else having this problem?
I have the same issue. I changed the provider but still it won't lookup nearby business phone numbers. Even the reverse lookup is not performing
I hope it gets patched.
Sorry for the bump but has anyone found a way to solve this? It doesn't work with the CM12 Dialer App either and I really miss this functionality from the Stock Google Dialer found on my Nexus 5. I've tried a lot of different ways to get the Google Dialer 2.0 APK working on CM12 including trying to deodex the apk and then building a version of CM12 with odexing enabled and everything just resulted in the dialer force closing, so I'm at a loss here.
EDIT: Well... I did all of that... just to find out my issue with Forward Lookup was that somehow my location services managed to turn itself off. Turned it on and it works now. I feel like a fool but I'll leave this here in case anyone else is having similar troubles.

[Q] Location service doesn't work- where am I ??

Hi,
I am on Nightly 2-dec-14, but this also was the same on nightly 30-nov.
When I run Google maps, I push the location button (bottom-right).
It then says ""waiting for location" but nothing happens then.
When I use Disgital Clock Widget -Google Play- when installing the weather location (option : geometrical) the message is:
Location Services not enabled. When I want to enable them, they already are !
Both situations run OK on my Nexus 5 (stock ROM)
Can anyone please help me with that ?
Regards,
Kees
This the kind of issues you can encounter with nightlies, nightlies are a "test" build to see if a certain mod or change works, sometimes you loose some functionality, that's why you do a b/u and revert back to stable running ROM. An update is nightlies with all the bugs fixed.

GPS not working for navigation on LOS14.1 20170717

Currently running LOS14.1 build 20170707
Has anyone experienced GPS issues? In particular when using navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze? The GPS can find your location but besides that doesn't aid in navigation. GPS apps keep saying searching for GPS signal...
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Navigation was working fine for me in CM 13.1
GPS in los14 isn't as good as cm13. Nothing you can do about it.
