Nice setup!
I got a krusell Ekerö wallet for my Z5C yesterday.
Fits perfectly and the quality of the leather is great!
There are slots for the speakers and microphone, which enables you to talk on the phone without having it open and flapping all over your face.
Only wish that it was possible to answer the phone with a physical button, eg. the volume rocker, instead of having to open the case and answer using the screen...
However, I am not a big fan of the placement of the magnetic lock, which consists of two parts one on the top and one on the bottom.
It blocks the power button and makes it kind of akward to operate the powerbutton.
This tempered glass is also perfect fit (identical cutouts as per of OP's suggestion.)
Roxfit Xperia Z5 Compact Screen Protector (Tempered Glass) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B015ECYX2O/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_3u4gwb655JA4T
Highly recommend tempered glass, coming from z3c. It's a MUST
This case is a great interim case untilthe almighty Devil Case come through.

It's not supurb protection on drop as its only rubber BUT great fit and coverage for sure.
Both items came delivered in 1 and 2 days respectively
this might be off topic, but what good is this tempered glass? In most cases (and I mean like 90%) people break their screens when the device lands on a corner (or the devices edges). So this thick peace of glass on the screen wont help at all, only if your device falls flat on its screen or there is something like stones on the ground and it lands on them (but mostly flat, again).
I just happen to see all this hammering and cutting tests with the glass, which are completely irrelevant for the real world scenarios and I don't understand why people actually use it.

How is the grip on the orzly flexislim case, compared to naked z5c? improved or approx. the same?

It protects against scratches
I just need a tempered glass with the form of a "ring" (empty in the middle). Just to paste it around the camera and lift it from the desk.
Unfortunately it doesn't exist. [emoji24]

It is still very slippery, unfortunately. Probably more grippy material but smoother edges make the overall grippyness a wash.

I dropped my Z3C with the edge first on the metal feet of my office desk , this caused the tempered glass to shatter.
But it took all the impact force leaving the screen with not a mark.
It was just to peel off the pieces of the screen protector and then reapply a new one.

I want that case but I have 2 concerns!
1. Should I go without a screen protector?
Comment: I don't like screen protectors cause they ALWAYS have air bubbles then that's money down the drain cause they annoy me.
2. I heard the charger port opening is small and breaks easily, also spigen is bad about replacing the border. Opinion/experience?
Comment: I understand the charger port being small for it's "slim" design but I want everybody's opinions on these two issues! Any criticism is constructive in my book!

My neo hybrid Chinese knock off broke too, but I have the original for about 3 months and I'm well happy.
about the screen protector, the cheap ones indeed leave air bubbles and are crap, but I've been using the better ones on my Galaxy Nexus and now on S4 and they are really good and they don't leave greasy finger stains on the screen as much as when you don't have one on.
try this one for starters... not expensive but really good, I'm using one right now

I've had the Spigen Neo Hybrid since August and I have no regrets, a little chip in the plastic frame from what be an otherwise very unfortunate drop. Sorry to hear others are having issues with theirs, and I think they updated the design to make it less prone to breaking.

I hate screen protectors too but they are absolutely necessary to preserve the longevity of the phone. I bought the tempered glass screen protector from Spigen Glas.TR SLIM. If it wasn't for the rounded lip around the protector you'd never think it wasn't the actual glass of the touch screen. It was the best 35 dollars I ever spent.
I have had the original Neo sine the phone came out and it is still in greta condition. I would definitely get a screen protector. I would recommend the Spigen crystal series, it is hardly even noticeable.
DO get a screen protector. I know this phone has a tough glass front, but better to be safe than sorry right? I have a Spigen crystal clears which I picked up for like $4 on amazon (it is a genuine product) and its a great screen protector.
DON'T get the hybrid, my frame broke near the USB port, the back warped and pulled away from the phone, Spigen only has a 90 warranty and ONLY if you buy it from them.

Screen protectors are not ABSOLUTELY neccessary. It really depends on how you care for the phone.
I've never used screen protectors. I keep my phone in my front pockey, glass facing in, and the only other thing I ever keep in that pocket is money (which is made of cloth, so it's not going to hurt the phone)
I've never had a single scratch.
If I were to drop the phone or slam it into something, a screen protector isn't going to help anyway.
Now if you keep your phone in a pocket with keys, or a purse with everything else that goes into a purse, or anything like that, that's a different story. But even then a screen protector isn't going to stop your phone from getting messed up eventually. It's goign to wear out much quicker than projected.
I have the ultra thin glass screen protector -> http://www.spigen.com/brands/samsun...-glas-t-nano-slim-premium-tempered-glass.html
Cases still fit and it looks great and feels better than that.
Quick question guys, if the hybrid breaks easy recommend another case that looks just as good if you don't mind!
another question, cant he tempered glass get air bubbles and can you take it off, also do all the sensors work flawlessly?
1.) Currently using a tempered glass screen protector on mine (Which is alil bit thicker) makes the "Lip protection" non-existent. So I'd get some sort of screen protector because that lip is pretty minimal.
2.) Had that concern for myself before I bought mine, truth is..if you use the OEM Sammy cable you'd be fine. Also to put on and off the case correctly lol.
BTW: Had mine since July and its still going other than a few lil chips on the frame..

Ultra Thin Air for like 10$ or the Slim Armor (Be careful with the white version though, mine is starting to fade in to yellow in certain areas )
Any screen protector / Tempered glass can get air bubbles if theres dust..But for some its normal to have bubbles as they go away within like 12hours. Tempered glass are removable annnnnd all the sensors work great with mine.
I've been using the Neo Hybrid for about two months now. It fits good and snug and shows no signs of wear. The plastic bumper is a little thin around the charging port but treat it well and you'll be OK. Plus, the button extenders on the sides feel really good and "clicky", instead of mushy as some of the rubber ones do.
As far as screen protection goes, I've always used the Zagg Invisible Shield but when I bought the S4 the sales guy threw in the Bulletproof protector for free. He even applied it for me, and I wanted to shake his hand afterward. Perfect positioning, no bubbles (I mean absolutely none), and he did it in about three tenths of a second.

I've never used a screen protector on ANY of my phones, never had an issue, so I don't believe in them. as far as the Neo Hybrid breaking near the charger port, I don't get how so many people break them, I remove my case once a day to switch batteries and I've never had an issue, maybe take a little care when removing the case

I use a glass screen protector. Maintains the glassy feel without sacrificing screen security. The neo hybrid is overhyped in my opinion. I bought it and the main thing that I did not like is how easy it was to press the power button. Without the case, the power button rarely got pressed in my pocket, but with the case on, any light tap on would push it and turn my screen on.

It's fine and fits well. Not sure how a 0.9mm thick piece of transparent glass can look cheap or premium for that matter
I ordered CaseBase premium tempered glass from Amazon. However I haven't received it yet and can't use it until November.
I ordered a german brand (or at least its sold under the name "wunderglass" meaning wonder glass; made in china ofc).
The fit is ... not that great tbh. The cut outs are fine and in place, but it has too much space to the bezel of the z5. Is there a brand which produces such glass protectors with a minimal gap to the bezel?
I've tried a lot of different brands and I found none that can compete with StilGut in terms of cut, quality and durability. It's made by a German company as well [in China]. A little pricey, but well worth their cost.

Excellent! I was just earlier looking for a front + back solution. And 20 bucks for both with 2 year warranty? Pfft, that's cheap.
Spigen's glas.tr slim costs 25$ and it's just a front protector. And it's 0.4mm compared to this StilGut at 0.33mm.
I take it you've got some personal experience of these StilGut protectors?
Q: How's the, uhm, quality I guess, of the oleophobic coating on them? Longevity wise?
I've previously used UltimateShield on my One M7 and on my partner's LG G3. Our gripe with them is how shortlived the coating was.
Didn't take all that long (a little over two months I guess) for the coating to wear off inb4 smudges galore and made the glass NOT easy to clean. Of course any coating will not last indefinitely but still..
P.S. That typo in the thread title made me chuckle, guess it's time for bed...
I got the StilGut front/back kit same day as my phone (Saturday). The cut is perfect as usual. I completely forgot that the Z5 had frosted back glass and wasn't sure if the tempered glass would work but it did. Unfortunately you lose out on the grip of the new glass but until someone puts the phone through some use and report back on whether the frosted glass scratches easily or not, I am not taking chances.
anoke is the best one I have seen/used, fits perfect and has front and back. $8.88 prime

Well you could go and sand the back protector.
Sandpaper (the wet kind and with it use water to contain the glass dust, you don't wanna breath that)
A flat surface to put the sandpaper on (a mirror for example)
Tape to hold the sandpaper in place
Elbow grease
Have fun!
Start at a low grit 120 or 240 and work your way up to 600 or 1000 or even 2000 depending on the look you want.
You can get wet sandpaper in kits, that have a variety of different grit, online or from your local hardware store and so on.
I recommend Nillkin 9h+ pro.
Nillkin Amazing H+ always the best glass for all Zs!
Now available also for back, used it for previous Zs and no any single scratch, durable 9h !!!
Can I just buy a front screenprotector and leave the back?
It has a frosted glass back but wouldn't the camera would be damaged without a screen protector.
Also i can't find a brand that has front and back screen guards only front.
Sorry i am new to using smartphones.

Sorry, could not stop laughing imaging you in the train with this, so noone could read over your shoulder.
I saw some sold online, but can not post links here(sure you can find them easily) and I can not say anything about privacy screens because I do not like any screens to be applied to original one. So instead of tampered glass I also have chosen original flip case.

I bought this one and I can vouch for the quality. It has the proper cut-outs for the front camera, sensors, and speakers. I've got it wet a few times and it's definitely not going to peel off due to moisture. One of my gripes with the Z5 was that the edges make the edges a little sharp to grip, but now with this tempered glass on it feels like the glass is flush with the edges like the iPhone.

And how easy was it to fit?
Had the original transparent case from Honor from day one on my Honor 8 Sapphire Blue with a glass protection on screen.
I ordered the GKK Ultrathin Matte Bumper Protection Case in blue off ebay could it came within 3 weeks from China something like €2.30 free shipping.
It's a 3 part case where the top and bottom parts cover once on cover up to the screens board line and the mid section the main bulk of the phone. The top and bottom covers have two each locking tabs (push fit) into theid section of the case.
One on its a nice tight fit around the device and lays flat on the screen No Gaps.. All punched holes are spot on, camera's sensor, jack plug, speaker, mac's fingerprint sensor and charger port. Must say the light sensor cut-out is over sized for some reason not round but oblong with top and bottom being curved. The volume and power buttons all make a positive travel with a soft soft click sound when pressed.
The mid section of the case once on hugs the phone nicely and meets up with the top of the phones frame edge and not curved round over to met the screen.
Having said that the case feels good in the hand nonslip does not make the phone look bigger or feels heavier.
I left my armoured screen glasses protection on when fitting this case NOTE if you choose to leave an armoured screen protection due to the thickness of the armoured glass you will need to offer up basically take you time and make sure the top and bottom of the case when fitting is over the armoured protect and push down slowly to met up with the mid section.
Reason being if you just went and try and put the cover or or force the cover on you'll have a high rate of the armour cracking, breaking..
The other option would be to use a protection film on the screen and one could just push fit the cover section in place without worrying about any damage.
Like the phone itself the bumper case is a fingerprint magnet but it's an around good protection to the body of the phone and still use the phone as if there was no phone case on it..
Is it worth it? Yes
Can you fit case if device has a armoured glass protection? Yes but be very careful take you time very tight fit.
Would I recommend others to buy it? Yes
Doesn't seem to move or slip off a flat surface while it vibrates on calls..
looks nice, would have chose a different colour tho
It looks like a hassle....i just need a strong back case and a tempered glass that covers the whole screen.....i got the cover all right but finding the tempered glass is a bit of a hassle the Terapin ones i got did not covered the whole screen it has like 0.5 cm space from each side

It's not snap fit all in a few seconds without an armoured screen protection otherwise one needs to take care if fitting over an armoured screen protection.. All in all it's a well made and designed case..
There is a similar case where it protects the rear and sides leaving you to put a screen protection on at ease..

Sorry cause i don't understand...does this full armor case has a glass that protects the actually screen or does it just cover the whole phone except for the screen?
Also if you already have a tempered glass on your phone do you need to remove it? or you can apply the case without any issues?
It just covers the phone the screen is exposed no protection..
My phone already had a armoured screen protection on it and l carefully put the top and bottoms of this case over it..
How does the case feel in the hand? And do you have trouble whit the screen, knowing it covers the phone exept the screen
I have an Incipio clear case on right now. It makes my glass screen protector pop off. So that's off for now.
I'm on my second PH-1 after a very minor fall cracked the screen on my first. (It was naked) But I had dropped it a couple of times.
Here's the thing, the back and sides were completely unscathed. The screen chipped a tiny bit on the corner on the first fall and then cracked across it with some shattering in the corner on another (from about a 1.5' fall from pocket to concrete when I was sitting on a bench).
With just a glass screen protector, you can hardly even tell it's on there (aka the phone still looks great). It also seems like with a good positioning, the SP or the plastic surround would make the first contact on any fall (given a relatively flat surface with no protrusions), thus protecting the screen. Aesthetically, I would love to get away with just the SP. I don't like casing this phone.
On the other hand, most cases are designed to also make first contact on a fall via a lip around the screen, etc. (The point of conflict with the SPs). So it would seem that a case alone should provide protection against screen shattering in most mundane falls also (again, barring protrusions).
So, what is your experience? Does anyone go screen protector only? Or case only? Have you had a screen break with either?
I have the incipio as well and go without a screen protector. I also have a belt holster to protect the phone from falling out my pocket. I am very anal with phones and have not dropped this one or my prior Android phones (I've dropped my Lumia 920 once but that just had a dent in the plastic housing). I've seen that video in which somebody tested the PH-1 with falls from different heights and know that the first thing that will break on it will be the screen under the right conditions. The rest of the phone is rock solid. That might be one problem that leads to cracks when it falls onto the corners (no dampening and direct energy transfer to the glass). I don't think a screen protector will do much in that case either.
that's my experience.
I'm totally enjoying this phone
cheers
I've just been using a screen protector and fitBAG leather sleeve. The Halo Gray has soft touch texture on the ceramic which makes it easier to grips than the shiny colors.

Hey guys I'm planning to buy the Nilkin 3D CP+ screen protector for my OnePlus 6 and I am hoping those of you who are already using it will share your experience with me.
My first concern is regarding the black borders on the sides, how much screen area do they eat up? Also does the border on the notch, make it look thicker?
The official TG glass from OnePlus is really overpriced in my country, so I'm really hoping the Nilkin one can be the next best alternative. Tia.
The main problem for me of the nillkin was that the glass is very thin. It broke when I was trying to separate a little bit from the screen to adjust it better.
It fits properly and yes, it takes a little bit of the screen with the borders, but not as much as other screen protectors.
In my opinion, and it's based on my experience, the most balanced is the orzly. It's the most similar to the Oneplus official one of those that I've tried.
I've had this one but it broke on the sides. The edges float above the glass because the adhesive only covers the screen. Because the glass is thin these edges beak quite easily. I currently have the normal tempered glass H (not the h+) this glas doesn't cover the edges, but there are no black borders that cover any part of the display. I've had I'd on for about 3 months know and I'm really pleased with it. No bubble's no cracks and quite good oleophobic coating. Also because this one is thicker than the h+ pro it doesn't break as easily. I have it alligned perfectly, maybe it makes a difference.
I have one of these that I bought through amazon through a Nillkin page. the black boarder definitely covers a bit of the screen. a bit of the notch boarder covers the screen. If you move it up so that there's no black from the notch border you'll cut off quite a few pixels off the bottom making it very hard to use gesture based controls. I had a problem with air bubbles, the ones near the top corners went away naturally, the 2 at the bottom 2 corners refuse to go away even after adjusting them and applying pressure for over 5 minutes. It's not a problem with the case as there's a very slim edge separating the glass from the case (Tudia 2 part case). Depending on how much you're spending on it I wouldn't recommend it, I paid $16CAD and I have buyers remorse I can't recommend this protector to anyone. There's no damage/cracks/halo effects after 2 weeks of usages, so that's a plus. I've ordered the dbrand prism screen protector, I'm hoping it'll be the same size minus the black borders.
The best one is Omron tempered glass. They came in a set of two. Nillkin hides some of the screen. Omron doesn't.
Thank you all for your response I won't buy the Nilkin glass since it breaks so easily. It's a shame OnePlus 6 has such a huge incompatibility with budget 5D/6D tempered glasses. Spending 18 quid on the official doesn't make any sense cause it too will break after a fall which can happen anytime.

Nillkin CP+Max Tempered Glass Review
Consider this my review of the Nillkin CP+Max Oneplus 6 Tempered Glass
Bought from Nillkin's Aliexpress official store.
Overall I am satisfied(I knew pretty much all of the problems listed below when i bought it).
Keep in mind when viewing the photos I have installed the glass as much to the top as the case lets me(Practically the glass and the case touch at the top.Maybe if I had another case I wouldn't have even more of the notch cutting in, but that is another story)
Pros:
- Very nice quality glass with excellent touch feeling.Perfect oleophobic coating compared to 1-3$ tempered glasses. Worth the extra dollars for this reason only!
- Fits with rhinoshield crashguard case(you have to install the glass while wearing the crashguard case and not the one oneplus provides!)
- Edge to edge cover(as much as it can be, as the sides of the phone have a small curve)
Cons:
- The black borders around the edge are too thick on every side. This results to having about 0.5 to 1mm of screen pixels covered at all times, which is especially visible in the notch area, which cuts even more inside the screen. Also visible on the bootloader screen where text starts from the very left of the screen and half the first letter is hidden. While in normal app use you never see text that far to the side to make it a huge problem,it some times shows in 21:9 videos on youtube fullscreen. It seems this is a problem every tempered glass with black borders has. Not only Nillkin's!
- A portion around the edges, beneath the black border doesn't have adhesive. (I think this is because the phone's glass starts to curve there making it impossible for adhesive to stick,so they don't put adhesive right there)
Maybe Nillkin should make the borders thinner in the future and also have them in a lower layer of the glass,so it doesn't look like a window.
