Hi.
Just upgraded my TL-10 to 5.1 and tried to set as default the ultimate caller screen hd app , but it is impossible to do: In fact, NO app can be set as default through application managing. The only thing that I can achieve, is to clear the default setting of stock contacts app. In few words, how can I add the UCS HD as my default app for contacts? Please note that before upgrading, UCS HD had been set easily set .

I am using whitehawxs MIUI 1.9.30
I have installed an application from android market and it has alternative keyboard.
Whenever the app gets started, its keyboard becomes the default keyboard.
The developer says apps can't change the default settings and only if you configured my app's keyboard as default keyboard, then only it can happen.
And he says it is not happening in his S2.
So how can I set default keyboard in miui?
Even if set, is it taking effect ?

I've managed tho install OTA for my N5. I am just curious about the following:
1- Default ringtone, notification and alarm sound came with factory image.
2- Default messaging app installed since OTA doesn't install Messenger by default.
3- A list with newest ringtones, alarms and notification sounds.

Apparently we didn't get the updated soundd. A user on here made a flashable zip with them though. as for Messenger, go on GP and type Messenger than More and it'll be down there by Google Inc.
Default ringtones with Lollipop
I installed the Lollipop Factory Image to my Nexus 5 and one annoyance is that although I can select an uploaded ringtone as default it does not play on incoming calls.
I can only use one of the 14 standard ringtones.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I did a factory reset and did not restore from backup and that seems to have fixed this problem.
So what is the predefined ringtone, notification and alarm assigned to lollipop image? Also can anyone share default home screen icons/ arrangements? Is Messenger installed by default instead of Hangouts?

Although I don't know why this is so.important or why you couldnt look in the build.prop yourself
And no, messenger is not installed
Are there some simple advice, why not work for me HD Caller ID and still shutter built-in dialer, although I ended embedded application "Contacts"? I'm in despair. I tried already UCS HD dialer and it still works just the built-in dialer. After installing HD caller is lowered about 2 times and then it works just built dialer

I'm not sure I am understanding your issue properly. You want to change the default dialer right?
Will you need to download : a dialer, a contact app and a SMS app because the default app does the three. Once installed you go in settings and then in manage apps ( or something like it my phone is not in English) then at the bottom of the screen you have a button "default app". Then change your call and message apps settings. Hope it helps.

Hello,
no no, it is not a dialer, but the Caller ID - what is displayed when someone calls.
But yesterday I solved it - I tried three Callers ID:
1) Full Screen Caller ID - BIG!
2) HD Full Screen Caller ID
3) Ultimate Caller ID Screen HD
Of these three applications work only called "Ultimate Caller ID Screen HD" BUT .... but in the "Protected application" must be set for this application protection - to operate even when the display.

I'm new here and have a question. I have the Huawei G750-U10 4.4.2 Emo 2.0.
I want to replace the default dialer but fails. if I download a new dialer I can not make him default . im going to manahe apps>all>Phone but the option Launch by default is Grey.
Does the Sprint Note 7 support HD voice? Just wondering. Cannot find any settings to enable it.
I thought when I made a call the day I got it I saw HD up in the corner bit I don't see it now.
I have had hd voice on a few...If you have nova or apex launcher, you can find the setting for hd voice by going to widgets and selecting (in my case) apex activities, click one of the phone, and after locating the hd setting, select it. Then click the new shortcut on your screen and you see the settings.

What if u don't have different launcher on?

It is already enabled by default...that is just one way to turn it on or off. There may be a widget you can download on the play store that lets you add settings shortcuts.
One of my first calls popped up as HD.
Hi,
I am using Android Message app as I want RCS. I installed the app and made it default in settings.
However, after some time if i open the messages app, it again asks me to set it as default. If i check the default apps, messaging app (MIUI) is set as default. due to this, my RCS functionality gets disrupted.
Is there a way to stop the messaging app changing settings and making itself default?
