So, if I root my nexus s gsm on tmobile, can I still get OTA updates for say Key Lime Pie?
1- will it still be rooted after an ota?
2- I don't want to install custom rom, can i just keep jelly bean and then whatever comes next?
my understanding is that most people without stock andoid who take an OTA wind up with carrier bloatware etc which wouldn't matter with me since its stock android and no carrier bloatware.
with root i would be able to do some things I can't now (main thing projecting screen onto computer
thx in advance
usually you will lose root after ota.
however, if you use SuperSU Pro (Superuser's alternative), it can try to retain root after ota, but it's not guaranteed though. you'll need pro version if you want that feature.
If I root my Nexus 5 (just basic, stock root) will I still be able to get updates from Google? and not be un-rooted when/if I install it?
Hi,
I have an xperia e4 e2105 and it has android 4.4.4 kitkat. My question is that the device is not being updated anymore and some apps require android 5 lollipop and above and I would like to root it with a decent rom, but the bootloader has to be unlocked. How do I do it without bricking the phone?
Question, Can you root android 6 and above, because I'm trying to root my android 6.0 phone and it would not root on any rooting apps. even my oneplus one that i had unrooted cant not even root again, can you guys help me
I have an Android 6 device that is rooted. Be careful with many rooting apps..they can be very questionable themselves.
Hi,
I would like to know if you know how to downgrade the android version of the Glalaxy a8.
As several A8 users, my phone is becoming really slow and I would like to do something about that. I tried to flash Android Nougat and Oreo official stock rom through Odin, but that didn't work. I have been told that Samsung had set in place some procedures to block any downgrading non-approved by Samsung itself. But I am wondering if there is a way for me, maybe by installing TWRP I could be able to install whatever ROM I want ?
