I have an XT1540 8GB and can't get it to work. I know it's a known issue but I figured someone in this community would've found a fix by now...maybe a rom that Android Auto is compatible with??? Thanks in advance for any help, I did a search in every section and came up pretty empty.

Is your car listed as a compatible model? I have a new car and was hoping it would work on mine but then again my car's software was made by Microsoft and that may have something to do with it.

Yes it's a 2016 Volkswagen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. My wife's LG phone works fine, but the Moto G doesn't. I'm still looking for a workaround or fix.

Hy man
I have an xt1068 moto g 2014 and it don't connect correctly with mib2 vw with motorola aosp firmware.
Now I installed TWRP and CM13 on it and work correctly and very resposive.
So the way is to change the firmware ........
Bye
I'm using it from time to time with mixed success. I've a 8gb EU version, my car is a skoda octavia from 2016.
My experience:
* It works from time to time. Sometimes the car finds the phone without a problem, sometimes it does not.
* It is quite slow
* It does not work if you have USB debugging enabled in developer options (I need to reboot the phone to get it working again if I accidently have tried connecting with it enabled)
* It seems to work better with marshmallow than it did with lollipop.
* Sometimes connecting with android auto seems to mess up the bluetooth connection and the "trusted device" settings are lost, rather annoying. Not sure if this is a bug on android's part or the car.

Mine took a while to connect.
But once it was connected, i found Navigation very good!
HTC Hero running SenseHero 2.1
I agree. Takes way too long to connect. But once it connects, it works perfectly.
So I just installed a digital media reciever in my truck. For those unfamiliar with DMR's, they don't play CD's but only audio from an iPod/mp3 player or Bluetooth audio from a phone. The question I have is I have the unit paired with my phone but doesn't automatically connect. I have to go into the Bluetooth settings and manually connect it every time. I know this isn't something with the DMR as I had to do the same thing with my Supertooth Buddy hands free kit. Is there a fix for BT so that I will connect or is it something related to running a GB rom (I'm on humble 5.0)

I don't have the answer for you, but I have the same problem with my motorola bluetooth earphones. I have to turn bluetooth on and off twice before it will connect.
Yea it gets kind of annoying after a while lol. My girlfriend's incredible 2 syncs to the head unit right away everytime but I have to connect manually

I am having this problem too. I would love it if someone had a fix.
Unfortunately the bluetooth radio on this phone is bugged, like many other parts of the phone. I could never get it to consistently connect to my truck. It would work for 2 days, and then randomly decide it didnt want to work and I'd have to reboot the phone and manually connect it.
I've never had the issue of it needing to be rebooted but it just won't automatically connect. Only once did it actually connect on its own.

Are you using the phone stock out of the box with EE4? If so that is part of the problem the BT software is a little lacking - If and when you get the OTA update that should fix the issue, or you can manually upgrade. My Charge connects no problem with the DMR I put in my truck
I'm on humble 5.0 and haven't gotten around to going back to stock for the OTA. I may give that a shot in a few. Also what DMR are you using? I'm using a Sony DSX-S300.

I have the same model, but the model number ends in BTX
I do notice that the first time after I flash a new ROM I have to tell it to connect, but after that it connects just fine by itself after that. The only time I had any issue with BT was on EE4 every GB rom I've used has worked fine. I've not used Humble 5, but Humble 4.x worked fine. I do like the DMR in my truck, I also got the external microphone, the jog dial is a tad funky, but I'm getting used to it

I also just flashed the Humble 5.0 ROM yesterday and am having issues with my BT on my truck stereo. I have a Tundra with a stock radio that I have not had any connection issues with at all. I'm going to go to the Humble 5.0 thread to see if I can find anything there.

Yea mine is the S300BTX. For $170 you can't beat it. The jog dial is a little weird to get used to. Thank god it came with a remote lol.
I'm going to try going back to stock since I don't have anything better to do today. I'll report back and let you know if it made a difference.

Hi All,
I am having issue using bluetooth on this phone. It doesnt connect to my Jawbone ICON HD and my car bluetooth. I tried everything I know to make this work. Is this a software issue? is anyone having the same issue? Please help.
Thanks

It would help if you provide a bit more info here. Do you have the XT925 or XT926? What's your car?
I own a XT925 - Australian (Telstra) version of the Razr HD. I've been able to connect it successfully to the following devices under the stock 4.1.2 and CM10.2/11:
Macbook Pro
Skoda Bluetooth 9W3 kit
Sony SBH-50 Headset
One thing to note is that the stock 4.1.2 regressed BT functionality - it wasn't sending track information (a bug in A2DP?), this has been fixed in CM10.2/11 and I assume really the fix comes from AOSP 4.3/4.4.
Do note that sometimes your phone may not be compatible with the device you're connecting to (actually, usually it's the other way round to be honest, with the device not implementing BT profiles correctly). In-built car BT is often known to do this. The Skoda BT 9W is luckily a very forgiving module with very little trouble reported by users.
YMMV.
I have BlueConnect in my car. It used to work before with no issues but now it stopped. The bluetooth connects to my phone but no voice or anything. I also have a jawbone ICON HD, the phone wont detect it at all. I feel its a phone issue. I am on stock 4.1.2. Phone is XT926
Any thoughts?

When did it stop working? Was it after a ROM upgrade or just on its own?
Does the Bluetooth setting appear to work at all - i.e. changing visibility, etc?
Have you tried looking at the kernel logs - i.e. with logcat?
Alright so I got it to work. I had to do a full factory reset erasing all data. Now it works.
I don't remember when I stopped working. But I used to think that it was my car bluetooth until I figured that it wasn't the case.
Thanks anyway.

Hi all,
I recently installed the following head unit in my Nissan Juke. Great unit so far, with only a few glitches which I believe will be resolved since it's Android.
This is my head unit: http://www.carnaviplayer.com/android-os-navigation-radio-player-for-nissan-all-series-p-1027
I installed iGO Primo v9, and have two issues:
a) iGO doesn't save the settings I apply, and I need to readjust it every time I run the app
b) Car speed is always double that on the car's dashboard, nearly double all the time
For (a) I believe the unit mounts the SD card in the GPS slot as readonly, because I can't rename files through ES-Explorer. However ES-Explorer is showing the directory where my iGO files are as write-enabled, but I don't think I can get the properties of the mounted device.
For (b) I believe there is something wrong either with the recipient GPS module, or something with the device's software, because there is an app on the device that shows the satellite connectivity, it also shows the vehicle's speed. I can see that this app is showing nearly half my car's speed when moving.
Does anyone have the same unit? Any one encountered the same issues with this or any other similar unit?
Is it possible to root the device to gain extra advantages?
Let me know your thoughts please.
Any one?
Don't know if you have found it yet but the official thread for your head unit is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503964
KoTiX2 has been doing a lot of work with the rom and his latest update is here. Should sort out the speed issue, the GPS RO has not been cracked yet.

Thanks Sammy.
Yeah I found it afterwards, and I just received a new firmware from the manufacturer for the GPS issue and some other tweaks.
If anyone needs it, let me know.

No problems. If you could link the firmware in the main thread it would be appreciated, just helps keep everything together. Did your head unit come with 4.0.3 or have you updated it?
In the 4.0.3 we are using we have been having problems with audio focus. I.e. if you use the FM radio then start another non-stock music app (e.g. poweamp, spotify) both apps play together. In the official 2.3 firmware it stopped the radio first. I was wondering if your 4.0.3 behaves the same?
Hello Sammy,
Sorry I'm travelling, with limited Internet access at the moment. I'll place a link to the FW in the OP as soon as I return home, some time late this week.
To quickly answer your concerns, my unit came with 4.0.3, they upgraded before shipping.
I haven't tried non stock audio apps to be honest with you, the stock one has issues, but still working at the moment. I'm in contact with the reseller and they're continuously pushing my concerns to the manufacturer. There will be fixes to the audio app ASAP.
I'll continuously update the OP with the firmwares that I recieve.

It is actually probably not necessary since Allen Wong, the developer for the ROMs, has been active in the main S150 thread for the past few days. He has been offering access to the all the available ROM versions (WinCE+2.3 and "Pure" 2.3 & 4.0.3 versions) for the available S150 variations. I believe he is going to make download links available at some point from the http://www.carnaviplayer.com page.
Hey guys,
I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong area. I'm having trouble with my S7 Edge. I just rooted it and have searched for hours trying to find a solution. The Bluetooth won't even activate and turn on. Can anyone help me or direct me to a place to get help with this?
I finally got all the other bugs worked out. I'd like to get this fixed, if possible.
Thank you for being patient with me,
Sulinjr

Try to unroot your phone then see if your Bluetooth is working or not.
Hi Mr.Tenmen,
So I take it this isn't a common problem that switch something in build.prop would fix? I'll try uprooting and re-rooting after work today. Do you think that will fix the problem?
Thanks,
Sulinjr
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Hi.
I don't think build.prop will help you (the bluetooth line:
ro.mac.bluetooth=XXX)
Unrooting can be helpful
Since i root my device the VPN is not working and still i have the problem but as replacement i tried to use Proxy
At last after unrooting and these works if it is still crashed you should re-install the Rom.
Sorry for language,,i'm not native English
