Need help with shield root on android 5.1 - Shield Q&A

I wat to root my shield portable, but i have a few questions:
1: Do i have to flash the upcoming updates or even android 6 when the portable get it? Or can it update the shield just fine even when rooted?
2: is there any easy "one click" root apk's? I tried king root, but it failed.
3: Does root in general really have to reset the device?
4: What is the easiest method to root?

Unfortunately you will have to find a way to get access to a pc to do this properly. There's rarely a way to revert to full stock without a pc.

Any luck rooting Digiland MediaTek tablet DL7000 with Nougat?

I am recently diving in to Android on a Digiland DL7000 tablet. It is a MediaTek processor running Nougat (Android 7).
None of the one-click rooting tools work, so I'm slogging through the ADB process and would like to use SuperSU.
Has anyone done this with the Digiland DL7000 tablets yet?
Try this method:
