Define normal...
No, 99% of Captivate owners will never flash anything custom.however a sizeable chunk of XDA flashes several times a month.A minority flash nearly daily.
Shouldn't do any more harm to your battery than normal use.

You will think it affects it insofar as you don't give the new ROM a chance to settle down with a few charge cycles to really evaluate the battery life.
Ya so far tested

On the phone press the 3lined hard key and press something like text input and then type what you want or press on the screen and there is a keyboard in between the 2 magnifying glass and a keyboard should pop up after you press it...be aware if you do the hard key method, you need to press return after you type so it will register

Did you used Nougat Beta? Which firmware you're using? BGD or XSG or something else?

Cool, how you get it? by registration or via odin?

Odin man. I didn't flash csc. That way I kept my data intact. ?

Good, but when Nougat gets international or Stable or Final, you won't get OTA update from samsung because you flashed via odin rather than Registering through galaxy beta app.

I will, did that earlier, also got updates via OTA. Once Samsung release new OTA in UK, I will get it.

Man you are missing the fun, 7.0 is WoW, the smoothest thing I have ever seen, you will not be disappointed. Been using for 4days now, no force close or lags. Just a few things I hate mentioned here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-...ougat-beta-t3497999/post69589743#post69589743
Which I believe will be fixed in upcoming builds.
