No download booster and auto restart features in settings (sprint) - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5

There is no download booster on the note 5 SPH-N920P and other model's neither the auto restart feature. Please help and if I install T-Mobiles firmware from sammobile.com to my Sprint note 5 will I get the disabled features I tried to use shortcuts.apk, but when I go to activity-settings-downloadbooster and click on it it pops up and disappears quickly.

Not sure if this is a serious question. i would highly suggest that you not flash tmobile firmware on your sprint device.

My Download Booster is there on my note 5

Just an fyi, I have a tmobile variant & I do have the download booster but I do not have the auto restart feature. I hear the auto restart feature is most commonly found on the intn'l variant.

[Tutorial] [How To] Enable True Spark LTE If Missing Spark Boot Animation

If you have a Galaxy Note 5 (SM-N920P) 64gb and don't have the Sprint Spark LTE boot animation it is very possible that you may not be getting a true Spark LTE Signal. You may be connected to band 41 (Spark band) but could only be using 4g LTE instead of Spark LTE. This is a tutorial so you can rest assure you are getting the Spark connectivity you so well deserve as the majority 64gb models (and possibly some 32gb) don't seem to be updated with this right out of the box. So lets get started!
I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY OF ANYTHING YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE TO RENDER IT USELESS
First thing you are going to want to do is download a program called ODIN 3.10.7, it can be found here: Odin 3.10.7
Next you need to download the stock TAR file to flash in ODIN which can be found here: N920PVPU1AOGD_N920PSPT1AOGD_SPR----STOCK TARBALL (Thanks rlmiller)
MAKE SURE YOUR VERIFY YOUR MD5sum!
Go into your Settings and if you don't have Developer Options enabled, enable it by going to your About Phone and tapping the Build Version a good 5 to 6 times until it says you are a Developer.
Go back into your Settings and you will see Developer Options. Under Developer Options, turn on OEM Unlock.
Boot into Download Mode after you have both of these files by holding Power+Volume Down+Home Button before the Samsung Logo appears.
Go past the warning screen by pressing Volume Up.
Connect your phone to your computer via USB cable and ODIN should recognize it is connected (if not you need to install Samsung Mobile Drivers).
Check AP and click AP
Select the Stock Tar file you downloaded. Under options, check the following: Auto Reboot, F. Reset Time, Nand Erase All, Phone EFS Clear, and RTN for Sprint.
Your phone will install the tar file after wiping everything and your progress bar will show.
Once you boot back up, some pop ups are going to occur for connecting your device to the carrier.
Allow these pop ups to proceed and reboot when requested.
Your PRL, Profile and RTN will be automatically updated and a reboot is necessary.
The final automatic reboot will give you a Sprint boot animation with the Sprint Spark LTE!
(There is no sun dial on the Galaxy Note 5 in the Status Bar nor is there on the Samsung Galaxy S6+Edge so don't be worried).
Can anyone confirm if this works?

I'm not sure if its working with Spark, but the Spark logo does show up now when booting the phone.
Also, I had an issue with my Note 5 where wifi calling would not show up and following the OP's method got wifi calling to show up.

I was missing wifi calling as well and this had fixed it for me. I forgot to mention that. I also forgot to mention out of the box there was no mobile hotspot feature and a factory reset fixed it.

Correct but without the boot animation you may not be receiving "true spark lte"
Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk
I just want to throw this out there. The yellow Sprint spark boot animation has absolutely nothing to do with wether your phone is or isn't receiving and utilizing the Sprint spark services.
From hearing your reports of missing features such as wifi calling and mobile hotspot, it sounds as if a batch of Note 5's have a bad firmware flash out of the box. These features are controlled by: 1. having the correct software for your variant of Note 5. 2. Initial setup using the correct CSC features for your device variant ( carrier, country, device model#). 3. your bootloader will access and identify your device model and use the corresponding CSC accordingly. The new Lollipop and later bootloaders play a much bigger role than all previous software versions. It is the central "hub" so to say. So as long as you have the correct software flashed on you device variant (wether brand new out of the box or otherwise) then doing a factory restore/reset or flashing the latest device specific software using odin will give you all of the intended features including the ability to access the Sprint Spark services, wifi calling feature, hotspot, system, update for sprint, etc, etc. This is a known fact and I have personally verified this theory over and over again on my Note 4 running lollipop 5.0 and 5.1.1. The same principles will apply to the note 5 and other Samsung devices running Lollipop 5.0 and later software. I hope this helps some of you understand why and how some features on you phone could simply be "missing" and/or not working. The bottom line is if you suspect your phone is missing features that another identical not 5 has right out of the box, then you may need to make sure your phone has the correct software flashed onto it and/or do a factory restore/reset. During the first boot is the critical time when CSC features is setup correctly on your phone. If something happens during this initial setup process it is very possible that some features, services, etc will not properly setup and you will be scratching your head in confusion. This bit of info should help you decide how to proceed with your device if you have similar symptoms. Fix it yourself by doing a factory reset and if that doesn't do it then flash the latest official Samsung rom tar using odin on your pc. This will set you straight. Thanks for reading.
The phone is spark capable right out of the box. The only reason this instruction works for giving you missing features however, is only because it's doing RTN. If you do nothing else but an RTN reset (carrier reset) using your MSL (Some devices may call for MSL), you'll trigger a provision and carrier specific features such as wifi calling, Hotspot, and carrier bloat apps will install. The dial code is ##72786#

Not necessarily true. I was missing wifi calling and doing a ##72786# didn't bring it back or install the feature. Using ##72786# doesn't require a msl and will only reset the phones provisioning and reprovision on boot up.
I also tried a ##786# or known as (##RTN#) and this reset the phone (factory reset) at as well as the provisioning. This didn't work either. Using ##786# requires the msl code.
Reflashing the stock rom via Odin, erasing the EFS and selecting the Sprint RTN option in Odin, made wifi calling come back.

Had a scare when the device would not activate but it turns out Sprint was doing maintenance at the time and so Hands-Free Activation wasn't working temporarily. Thanks a lot for the help!

Quick question, is the spark animation something different than the yellow page with the Sprint logo... That's all that shows up when I restart my phone.. My LG G2 had another animation with the spinning sun logo after the yellow Sprint page... I have signal check on my phone and when I check it, it says the different bands I'm connected to like 25 or 26.. I've only seen 41 once in new Orleans.. What would be missing or the problem if I don't have the spinning sun logo animation if that is what you are referring to?

As far as I understand you don't need the Spark logo at boot for the phone to be on Sprint Spark.

The Note 4 is a spark device but it does not have carrier aggregation like the Note Edge and every other device after. Also you don't need this to get true LTE+ speeds on a CA enabled device. This was just a misconception by the op.
Spark is just the use of all three LTE bands wether they have CA or not. Unfortunately your Note 4 isn't capable. This is what LTE+/CA looks like and as you can see no spark symbol on my tray. On a positive side, you're probably up for an upgrade by now if LTE+ is really a big deal for you.

[ODIN] Stock Nougat Firmware [SM-G935T] S7 Edge to use it on 935v

Here is the link to the tmobile original thread
[ODIN] Stock Nougat Firmware [SM-G935T] S7 Edge
Instuctions provided by jrkruse (original post)
1. You need to be on Verizon Beta Nougat 2
2. In developer options turn on OEM unlock
3. Reboot to download mode
4. Load the files you downloaded in the corresponding slots in odin BL,AP CP, CSC the files are labeled this way
you dont use the G935TUVU4BQB1_Boot_Recovery_Image.tar.md5 until later
5. Install with odin the phone will reboot to recovery to finish the csc install
6. If the csc install in recovery fails reboot to bootloader in stock recovery
7. In odin reflash the CSC file in the CSC slot in odin. The phone will reboot to recovery again and install the csc files
8. Once the phone is done installing and wiping in recovery try and catch the phone as it reboots and reboot back to
download mode (PWR+Home+Vol Down )
9. Use odin Install G935TUVU4BQB1_Boot_Recovery_Image.tar.md5 in the AP slot
10. Let phone reboot and go through setup
11. During Setup you may have trouble typing info in the setup boxes the keyboard has some bugs in setup. I recommend skipping
adding any accounts and do it after your through setup. Or use the alternative method to find your google account
12. Once through setup download 4G LTE Switch and use to Change Network to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL)
13. I recommend downloading Package Disabler Pro (It Works now) and disable all Tmobile Apps
I found samsung pay wasnt working I found that the tmb bootloaders and persist.img needed to also be flashed I made a new odin flashable package and install instructions. All seems to work now except of course volte and wifi calling.
Explanation why you need to be on nougat beta 2
Download:
TMOBILE_NOUGAT_VZW.ZIP
ODIN v3.12.3.zip
Possible Issues and solutions :
Q: after flashing the bootloaders and persist.img, it broke all data and calls and texts again.
A: they need to be all flashed at same time. Maybe Wipe data and it might work
Q: The Google "email or phone" text input box still only accepts one letter and any extra letters overwrite the previous letter typed.
A: The samsung keyboard will work fine if you just goto settings on the keyboard to language and types and change to US english.
Q: So the question is..... this worth flashing or wait for vzw?
A: Other than no volte this definitely the best running Rom so far. It is much better than beta
Q: 13. I recommend downloading Package Disabler Pro (It Works now) and disable all Tmobile Apps
Care to share your list?
A: List of Tmo apps to disable
Q: Except MMS isn't working, for me anyways. VoLTE isn`t working.
A: I got volte working and video calling maybe this will help mms for you
Download App shortcut maker from playstore
Select all activities find IMS Settings and create shortcut
Open the ims settings from the created shortcut
Choose Ims service switch
Click on MMTEL switch
Click on RCS switch
Under MMTEL section I enabled all the options
Q: Cant get this thing to flash CSC...just keep getting the dm-verity error 0x02.
A: 1:Flash all 4 files in zip.
2:let reboot and see if you get dm verity error.
3:if you get the error than reboot to bootloader and reflash all 4 again.
4:after it reboots again it will say error.
5:reboot to bootloader and flash the csc again.
Q: in 4g lte switch, i dont see the option for lte/cdma auto. could this stuff be because csc didnt flash correctly?
A: if you have the verizon data icons you know the 4g lte then it flashed correctly. If you see data icons that ate not verizon then it didnt flash correctly.
When every one is starting over are you flashing a pit file when going pack to ph1. If not you need too.
P.S. All credits goes to jrkruze. :good:

Look at you apn settings and just copy it. I didn't mention about to install nougat beta, I mentioned that it was installed successfully on nougat beta and that you must be on latest bootloader.
Okay so I have T-Mobile Nougat installed on my device, and I've changed my VPN over to VZWINTERNET, and I can't seem to get anything working (calls or data).
I'll continue to toy around with things though.

The T-Mo one you posted. Odin with ap,bl,cp and csc selected.
After toying with tons of things on the Tmo firmware, I tried booting into Odin, and flashing the Verizon pi3 CSC. That gave me a bootloop. I then tried reflashing the entire Tmo Nougat with Odin, but replacing the CSC again with Verizons, same bootloop. So now my phone is being flashed back to the trusty U MM.
I can only assume now that running the Tmo firmware on VZW will require root to make CSC edits. But Verizon will release our own Nougat before we get root.
Now I guess it's just a race between Verizon releasing 7.0, and the G935U getting it.
$50 on Verizon.
Edit: After flashing the G935U firmware again, after the first boot I was greeted with a message saying "your device must update to use new features from your SIM card." And I booted to a weird all blue screen with a big SIM card on it. I've never seen anything like that. I'm not sure if the Tmo firmware messed with stuff, so I'm going to fully flash the G935V firmware, THEN reflash the G935U firmware, just in case the G935T firmware messed something up.
they also did something to disable all package disabler apps even if you go back to MM they dont work. They screwed us goood on this
so @spiderkr were you able to get it working or just going off of other reports?

Flashing Carrier Specific ROM's for Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge US UNLOCKED [SM-G930U/ G935U]

Hello Everyone,
This is a Guide to Flashing Carrier Specific official ROM's for SAMSUNG GALAXY S7/ S7 EDGE [SM-G930U] [SM_G935U]
Since 5 months as a owner of this device, i was furious to samsung as they have forgoten about this model and never released a security update and still haven't released update for Nougat.
As, all the carrier specific models have been already updated to nougat and stable. I suggest to everyone who is having these models to Flash their carrier specific firmware.
1) First, when deciding which carrier ROM to flash, you need to know who is your provider. You might be using the Big four carriers like AT&T, T Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, which is a pretty straight forward answer.
But, like me there must be several other who like to use prepaid carriers to get best value for money. I use H20 and the network provider is AT&T, which means i must flash AT&T ROM.
In order to find out, which network provider your carrier uses, go to this below link and find the name of your carrier.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_mobile_virtual_network_operators
2) After defining which carrier firmware you need, download them from below links.

3) In the above links, download four files named AP,BL,CP,CSC.
Now, cut these four files and copy them into a separate folder.
Next, download a file extractor, i suggest you to download 7 zip HERE http://www.7-zip.org/
Install it and then extract each file into the same folder.here you must be having four .tar.md5 files.
4) Now install odin, just download this specific version which works, only with the unlocked model. https://www.4shared.com/s/fBjP73CGjei
The method on how to use odin to flash, you must learn here, if yoou dont know how! http://www.droidviews.com/install-stock-firmware-on-samsung-galaxy-devices-using-odin/
If you knew proceed. Rember: Download the Odin from the above link, its a must or else if you use any other version, it won't flash and your device will be factory reset.
Voila, Now you will be having Nougat on your carrier rom.

But still no U Nougat right?
Yes, Still no nougat. I think this has been an operation by carriers not to release any update untill all of them have updated, so that people who bought these models won't buy again and only buy from them next time.

Seems to me that the 4share does anything but actually download ODIN and I always get a mismatch/fail.
I find a legitimate ODIN download site and it fails. DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Flashing Assurance wireless to Note 3

So I have a note 3 sm-n900p I want to flash if needed to Assurance Wireless that is through Virgin Mobile through Sprint. The phone they gave me is a ANS UL40 that takes a sim card. I don't know if it is a GSM hybrid or what. If I do not have a sim installed in it, it says no service. So here is what I have tried on the note 3. Stock rom installed MJ4 modem sim unlocked. TWRP and rooted. Also tried ssu.apk region lock away.apk. ssu crashes and region lock says ok. Also have tried custom rom's (many) with or without MJ4 modem. Also did the *#0011# and changed settings to menu > key input > Q,
menu > back,
menu > key input > 0000.
Wait for about 20 seconds then a menu will appear. Once the menu appears go to:
>UE SETTING & INFO
>SETTING
>PROTOCOL
>GCF
>GSM/(E)GPRS/WCDMA GCF ON
Either way I still get on any of these changes no sim or sim card not detected or sim card has locked reboot phone.
Also have tried DFS tool and change all info to what I get off the other phone Like IMEI and such, still same. Anybody have any suggestions on how to get the note 3 to take the sim card on assurance wireless? I have tried so many roms and so many ways of flashing with no luck. I have sim unlocked this phone before and it worked on Tag Mobile which is through T-mobile. Please give me any suggestions on what to do, will try anything. Thanks
Also forgot to mention I have used HLTE and HLTESPR roms and modems still no luck
Hope u figure out. I have same exact two phones. Even versions are same. I will be trying a few things later today keep you posted.
Assurance Wireless sux. Need I say more. Going to another carrier.......
Did you ever find a way to root your ANS UL40? I have one myself, & haven't found any way to do so.
HELP!!!
is there a way to flash assurance wireless to samsung galaxy note 4/ android oreo 8.1/lineage OS version?

AT&T Note 8 on T-Mobile

Upgraded to Note 9, want to pass my Note 8 on to a T-Mobile user. I want a complete T-Mobile experience, so all T-Mobile bloat and settings are needed (VoLTE, Hotspot, etc...) . Note 8 currently has latest CRID OTA from ATT. Looking for help in determining the correct way to proceed. I am having AT&T carrier unlock the device, so I would make this change after confirmed unlock. Also, once this is finished, will the device receive T-Mobile OTA updates?
I have read through https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884 but am confused. I see lots of mention of combination files, CSC changing, etc... that seem overkill for what i'm looking for.
Are these the steps I need to take?
1) Download latest Odin compatible TMB Firmware (which is what version?)
2) Download Odin on PC
3) Factory reset Note 8
4) Flash TMB firmware
5) Insert TMB SIM card
6) Success?
Yes just download this file
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950U/TMB/download/N950USQU5CRIA/237765/
Flash everything with Odin and you will have a full 100% T-Mobile Note8 with all carrier features working

I saw here that simply flashing a different carrier firmware will not actually change carriers?? Is that correct?

Someone in that thread said I would need to flash an unlocked U1 firmware and then the TMB firmware?
I am about to do this as well, switching from AT&T to T Mobile using my AT&T branded Note 8. I just wanted to confirm that it's as simple as downloading the latest Android Pie firmware for T Mobile and flash it to the AT&T branded phone? Any precaution like some other thread mentioned to flash the U1 (unlocked) firmware first then flash the T Mobile firmware?
Also, eventually, I will be giving this Note 8 to someone in China. At that point, is it better to flash the unlocked version of firmware or just leave the T Mobile firmware on it?
Thanks so much for your help.
Note: the phone is already unlocked.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I went and got T Mobile. After the new SIM card was inserted in my AT&T Note 8, after a reboot, it did something, a screen with a SIM car graphics and some moving dot. Then it rebooted itself again, and then T Mobile splash screen showed up. It even added the bloatware from T Mobile. So, Android 9 for Note 8 probably has both ROMs? I also checked the firmware version. It shows the latest T Mobile ROM.
I didn't have to do anything other than just inserting the new SIM card from T Mobile.
This is very interesting to me, and the store guy couldn't believe his eyes either.

And i was wondering why my phone still showing at&t bloatware even after installing the Verizon firmware. ? Now i understand Cuz I'm using at&t sim. Good to know?
Another update!
I just got updated by T-Mobile to the latest firmware after converting over as previously stated. I have to say that the update page on the phone for the T-Mobile firmware is MUCH nicer and informative than the ATT version. It tells you how much time left, the version numbers, and even a "what's new" section...
After this update, my phone is actually better at battery usage.
