Rooted P907A...now what? - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I recently rooted my P907A recently, and I am wondering is there any stuff I can do this boss of a tablet(aside from tweaks, SuperSU, KNOX disabling, and what not).
I've looked around for custom ROMs viable for me but this being a carrier based tablet(on stock 4.4.2(it was 5.1.1. before I reflashed with ODIN since towelroot would not work on 5.1.1 of THAT build.)) what will happen if this updated to 5.1.1. that build P907AUCU1BOH3 with root? Would it lose root and enable KNOX? Should I install a new custom ROM? Suggestions?
Right now it's 4.4.2 stock with SuperSu with root and stock bootloader.

[Q] Debloated ROM without tripping KNOX

Hi guys, tomorrow i will get my new Galaxy S6 (920F)
I know the PingPong root to get root without tripping knox and FlashFire will also let me flash custom roms without the KNOX being affected.
But i cant find a debloated rom without Aroma (unsupported by flashfire)
Can you please help me?
Even a clean stock international ROM that doesn't trip knox and can be rooted with pingpong root would be ok
same question! :good:

Updating to 5.1.1

Hello i have 920I with android 5.0.2 rooted with pingpong root and knox not tripped.
I want to update to 5.1.1 using smartswitch, and then rooting the stock rom.
Is there a procedure on how to do this as i have been confused because each thread gives a different method.
Also would i need to flash new bootloaders modems etc... after the update.
If someone can tell me or link me the best way to get a clean install of official 5.1.1 rom and root it.
Thank you

No, the update with have the latest bootloaders etc...
I have not done it because I don't want a custom kernel on my phone. I am not aware of way to do it without tripping knox.

The correct way to root s6?

I have Galaxy S6 running 5.1.1 stock rom.
The only reason I need root so xposed could be installed. What is the best way to root and install recovery without loosing any data?
Not worried about tripping knox etc.
Thanks

simple flash a custom recovery injected with root, like chainfire's or TWRP using odin

Root and Tripping Knox 5.0.2 ===> 6.0.1

I have just bought an S6, finally moving from LG G3 (where things were simpler to root).
I have spent a few hours reading about the possibilities of rooting, flashing whilst not tripping Knox and have a few queries regarding some of the procedures.
I am lucky enough to be on 5.0.2 (G920FXXU1AOCV) which is supported by PingPong root method and Kingroot. I would like to upgrade to Marshmallow without tripping Knox and therefore keeping my warranty.
I am just querying the steps required to do this, I am of the understanding that these are the steps:
1. Root with PingPong
2. Flash TWRP via Odin/Flashfire
3. Flash whichever marshmallow related rom, kernel, mods, xposed framework etc I desire through TWRP (or is Odin/flashfire the only method that doesn't trip Knox)?
Will root remain after flashing marshmallow?
Will I need to change the bootloader at all?
before flashing a marshmallow rom, you have to get the latest bootloader. i don't know if there is another way than flashing it through odin. using this method you lose your root.
also, if you install a different kernel, it's most likely to lose root too.
and with xposed, you need a deodexed firmware at the moment. it's recommended to install a deodexed rom with a clean install. i think, you'll lose root, too.
If you flash TWRP or custom kernel via any method (TWRP, Flashfire, Odin vs), knox will be tripped.
There's NO way to use 6.0.1&root without tripping Knox.

Update G920P Boost to recent stock rom without losing data, root or Magisk

It's been a while, what is the best (easiest) way to update a rooted S6?
