Snapchat does this. Just save the picture to gallery when you're done.

Any good idea about a nice camera app to take photos?
Related
Hi guys.
Finally Google is gradually publishing its apps on play store.
Download Google Camera and Gallery app here.
Don't know about the camera app but the gallery app is alot cleaner and responsive than the stock one.
Edit: We finally now have the ability to capture spheres.

Have fun!

But recording a video is not that good. I can't get is to record 1080P even if I chance the settings, it shows unsharp picture.
Isn't that just the camera app? Where do I get the gallery app?

Detail in photos is way higher with Samsung stock camera app in my tests so far. I also prefer Samsung gallery app since it allows me to move images between folders. Photosphere and filters are two nice features though

I agree, the Samsung apps are a bit better right now, especially the camera app. The gallery seems nice and very fluid but the Samsung gallery is just equally as good.

I agree. Only if the app load time was a little better.

Which is the best camera app?
For me? Camera 360, free and best the camera stock
I like perfectly clear the best, it has the best focus and exposure features of all the apps I've used, though it is a little slow to load at first.

Camera ZOOM fx, in play store.
i love the Camera 360
Line Camera would be great

Camera 360.
stock xperia sl camera, camera360 and procapture
Stock camera app is the best camera app for our smartphone
Camera 360
I actually really like the stock Samsung camera app shame it can't be used on CyanogenMod.
The stock camera has an awful menu system.

+2 . Also stock application of galaxy s4 is also good.
There is a thread dedicated to discussing the merits of different apps. Feel free to repost this in the App discussion thread.
Thanks!
Is there a grid mode or rule of third in the stock camera app?
is there a way to add this type of feature to the stock if there isn't any?

You would need to download a new camera app for this. The stock camera app is still lacking features, and the view screen is not even the same aspect ratio as the pictures its taking.
Focal is a good camera app with grid. You can download it on play store.

Snap camera has that option. Its my camera app of choice

Hear about this in my research but it looks bulky, so many features for a camera app. I am not sure if many of them are necessary.
what is your preferred camera app? Do you use Focal personal?

Is it close to the stock camera. From what I've seen with the stock camera, it looks great and easy to use, not too much unwanted junk.

There isn't that much features. It got flash, white balance, scene mode, HDR, effects, exposure comp., burst mode, timer and settings which has image size, toggle exposure ring, auto-enhancement and grid mode. Yeah I use focal.
Which apps that take great panorama pictures would you recommend? It doesn't matter if I have to pay
The stock camera app takes low res panoramas, around 3 MP , the colors are washed out/weird , it's awful, just like the stock camera app itself, I mean, really google no 16:9 6 MP picture option? No 60 fps 1080p video? No burst mode? I could go on and on ...

What about spherical pictures?
The N5 cam does a bad job of stitching them together... Any suggestions?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the stock app is the only one that does photosphere. I know Focal had some sort of spherical photo but I don't know how well it works. Anyway, photosphere stitches it well for me. Have you tried holding the phone in one place and simply tilting it? It won't work if if you just wave your phone around everywhere.
noticed too the stock camera is terrible at panoramas... bad stitching and really low res...

Hi. I'm a new z1c user and I'm loving everything except the camera.
Anybody know how I can get the camera to shift White balance according to where I tap?
On the iPhone for example if there's a bright spot and the picture looks too dark, if you tap a dark spot it will adjust the colors shop that the colors balance according to your objective.
Can the Z1c do this too?
I've only seen the manual mode which is far worse send more complicated than the standard camera app on the iPhone (which I hate as a phone)
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
It actualy only adjusts exposure (on iPhone).
I don't know an app that does this by tapping, but you can adjust it in manual mode by taping the icon between the flash and scene mode.
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
It sounds like you want touch focus. Z1c does this: go to settings in camera app and change focus mode to touch focus.

He wanted touch focus with touch exposure together. I know Iphone and HTC does support that but our z1c no.
Or just download Google camera app
It supports touch focus and exposure

So basically you're not getting that I'm asking about an app that does these things automatically like on iOS.
None of these do it

didn't work. It does the auto focus no problem, but the whites don't balance like on IPhone /HTC

Yeah it doesn't balance the whites as good as the HTC (HTC one's white balance > iphone's, iphone's pic quality > HTC one's) but for what we are left with, I guess it does its job done. But can be better. If ill find any other app that can do the touch exposure thing, I'll buy it and use it as my camera app on my phone.
Sorry if you had to waste few bucks on the paid apps I mentioned.
Try to contact snap hdr team and tell them about this exposure feature maybe they might listen?
