Recovery combo is vol + vol - home button and power button. You can try to do a wipe cache and wipe data maybe you can solve the problem. if it is not solved you can flash the stock rom or a custom rom and for the custom rom you need a custom recovery.

Yes i tried as what you told me but same issue nothing changed...
i donno how to do flash and yes i tried to do with custom rom but when i moved the file to custom rom and want to locate the file in sd card the file is not visible in recovery mode
hope some one help me out from this issue
thanks in advance
I don't understand if you had flash the stock rom via odin, you may solve just doing wipe cache and data and flashing stock rom but if you want to flash a custom rom the steps are:
1) Put a custom recovery CWM or TWRP (for ace plus is better TWRP)
2)follow the steps for the flash of the rom in the OP of rom.

Hi everyone, im not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100) (UK) rooted and i have been trying to install Cognition v1.07
I have downloaded the .zip and placed it in the root of my SD, i have also done clockworkmod recovery via rom manager but when i try and boot into clockwork recovery it wont do it, all i get is the android system recovery (blue writing) which gives me options to reboot system now, apply update from sdcard, wipe data/factory reset & wipe cache partition.
I get to that if i boot with Volume Up + Home + Power, if i do Volume Down + Home + Power it brings me to Downloading mode.
I have also tryed booting recovery via rom manager and it brings me to the same android system recovery.
Can anyone help me sort this problem out as i have been at this for 3 days now and i just cant seem to get my head around it lol...
Thanks.
no one on this forum has a clue about my problem?
plenty of views and a full page of questions asked since i posted this and they all got replies, am i doing something wrong on this forum, are there super special rules i should be following??
It been a long time, but if somehow you're still stuck with the same problem, this helped me on my S2
Initially I flashed cwm recovery using odin, then rooted using superOneClick. But opening recovery (volUp + home + power) kept sending me to Android System Recovery <3e>. So i flashed cwm recovery again using odin, and this time it worked. I guess you need to be rooted before trying to flash cwm.. or maybe its just some coincidence :/
Hope this can help someone

2) put it in the root of your sd card (not in any folder)
3) boot into recovery(CWM,etc.)
4) first create a backup of your existing ROM by going in -backup and restore>backup
5) select wipe data/reset > yes
6) select install zip from sd card >yes
7)reboot
ENJOY !
just be sure
just be sure that the rom you downloaded is for your device

You'll want to add 'clear cache and dalvik' after flashing. Tends to make flashing ROMs more regularly successful.

Factory reset formats /cache, /data, and /sdcard/.android_secure.
Clearing cache would be a waste of time since it's already formatted and dalvik cache is in /data so no need to wipe that either.

its not necessary

you don't have to press vol up key .
you need to press the Volume Down button + the Home key button (the middle button), while holding these both buttons, you need to switch ON your device by Pressing he Power ON button.

The 3 button combination in order to start the phone in Recovery Mode (where wipe options are) should be volume UP + home + power.
Avoid the volume DOWN combination because that is for Download Mode.
Try start in Recovery Mode several times because sometimes the proper combination timing is not detected.
If really the phone can't start in Recovery Mode, you should flash the official firmware again via Odin, following the procedure with caution. An important, sometimes overrated action related to flashing via PC is that any antivirus (firewall mainly) must be turned off before the flashing procedure, in order to avoid (invisible) conflicts when transfering data through USB ports.

First of all the boot up loop is caused because you have not wiped the cache and dalvik cache (may be).
Since the recovery is not booting means, there is some error with flashing.
What you can do right now is to flash the Original Stock Rom using Odin, the original stock OS itself contains the recovery partition.

Why Am I Posting This?
For those who brick there phone very often they could keep it on their phone and flash it any time they want, they dont need to run to there pc everytime they brick their device to flash firmware.
For those who are trying to port different roms to this device can use this one as the base rom.
For those who likes the feeling of stock but are very upset with there experience (this rom is fast and less laggy).

The same problem, (working cwm good till...) if power off or restart my device boots into stock recovery.
@spkprs here's the solution, go to system folder with root explorer and delete a file named recovery-from-boot.p and than go to etc folder and delete another file name install-recovey.sh, now flash cwm and it will be installed permanently. You can also move them

Okay I got the news that the link is not working
I am uploading the file to my google drive and i will be updating the link soon
Deeply Regret for the inconvenience.
Link updated
Ok guys now i have updated the link and now you can download the rom
It is zipaligned and supports ini.d, why you haven't said that in the description
Can you make a new one based on the 2015 update recently released?
I don't think it would be necessary, the new update is just useless as most other updates
Does it works on GT-S7390?
Yes
Someone can try this rom as a base rom for trying to port any rom for our device? That would be nice
thanks pro. can you make next version for s7392?

Hi.i was using rooted stock firmware. But when i flashed your ROM using cwm (and later twrp too),my phone got struck at Samsung logo and not going further . i tried it 4-5 times but nothing happened.Any solution? (i know how to install new stock rom through odin,so please dont suggest me that.If possible, suggest a solution for installing this ROM)
Hi , I have rooted my xperia L and unlocked its bootloader. However when I tried to install a custom recovery, it keeps failing. I have tried both cwm and twrp. For cwm there is no official support so I tried using a custom but it couldn't read it .
For twrp , even though the device shows up in the twrp app , its unable to flash the recovery. it says :
flashing recovery was unsuccessful. Either you already have this recovery installed or another error has occurred. Would you like to attempt rebooting now?
My goal is to install a custom rom on my phone. Can anyone please tell me how to move formward from here ?
Thanks
You must be on the latest stock firmware.
I want you to go to this link " http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/help/how-to-recover-xperia-l-t3129724/page5 " .
And to replay number #46 and download the attached file.
Extract the the file in your computer and open the cmd in the folder by pressing shift+LMB and write the code:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
important:connect your phone to the computer in fastboot before pressing Enter, by holding the vol+ and connect it.
Now you can press entre you have now CWM recovery .
Boot to recovery and flash the rom you want.
Note: this recovery is for installing ROMs so if you want to use it with stock ROM so don't use it because it will stop the WiFi .
So just install it and directly install the ROM to have the wifi worked.
Don't forget to hit thanks
do I still have to use cwm rom manager? Because I tried that and it says it can't access the server.
So do I go directly to recovery by using adb reboot recovery ?
No there's no need.
After you done flashing your phone reboot it ,it will show you a led on Sony logo ,when you see this led keep pressing down button until it reboots to recovery .
I forgat to tell you that your phone must be powered of when fastboot
yeah no problem , I remembered to do that.. Got it. Thanks .
Quick question after flashing the rom , should I wipe the cache and delvvik AGAIN before flashing gapps ?
It depends on the ROM .
For example: CM 12 you mustn't flash gapps after flashing The rom, you must reboot to the ROM and then install a new recovery and then install the gapps.
In general I suggest to make factory reset before and after installing a ROM.
