My problem is that I deleted my current OS because I wiped my entire phone when i tried to install another rom. Now I have no Rom on my Mi4i and i have to transfer files to my phone via sideload.
I was able to transfer gapps,
But i tried the resurrection rom/global miui rom and it said this:
This package is for device: ferrari; this device is TCL_M3G
E: Error executing updater binary in zip /sideload/package.zip
Please help me, I´m really desperate

I was able to push rom and gapps over via push command but still it won´t work with installing due to the "ferrari; this device is TCL_m3G problem!

MIUI global rom works but none of the other custom rom do any ideas?
(at least i got an os on there so far )
Flash stock recovery via toolkit or reflash twrp then , flash miui global, hope it help u after success u have ferrari.

I had did the same thing. I had to flash 5.6.11 through fastboot then i could flash cm12.1
Use the new twrp from Mi Toolkit v4 or dh-harald's version... Older twrp versions have this problem...
open the rom zip from your computer.
extract it.
open META-INF -> com -> Google -> android -> updater-script with notepad.
remove first line. that is. everything before "ifelse(is_mounted("/system"), unmount("/system"));"
repack into zip.
install from recovery

This is easy, download Mi4i Toolkit V4 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3170607 and root and flash twrp recovery from it again
Many of us had this Problem with toolkit v3
Also, there is a newer CM12.1 build here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347784071
The newest build from today is in the CM12.1 thread in the 2nd post from dh.harald. but there you have to flash the sensorpatch.zip after flashing his Rom.

In Mi4i Toolkit V4,there are 9 files,not a single application like Mi4i Toolkit V3.So how to use this toolkit v4.Please help me.

I had the same problem (there was no v4 of the toolkit when I rooted) with my build of CM12.1. You can disable zip file verification for the first, for the second go inside the zip and delete the first assert statement in the updater_script file in the zip.

Can miui official roms be flashed with twrp? Or do they only flash on MI stock recovery?
If you have it as a zip for recovery than you can also flash it with twrp

Are you sure? Because I saw that someone said they are supposed to be used with MI stock recovery on miui forum. But it was just one guy...and I never saw anywhere that those roms provided by miui website could be flashed with twrp, that's why I asked. Have you tried that?

because when i restore stock stable recovery image from miui 6, i got bootloop & not reboot to recovery.
EDIT >> i use mi toolkit too, but same bahavior. no reboot to recovery.

how can I go back to MIUI ROM ? I want one message which I took backup using MIUI PC Suite. I was on CM12.1, copied 6.6.6.0 & 6.7.2.0 in my phone (for safety). I did clean for system, cache, dalvik-cache, data. Now when I'm trying to install 6.6.6 or 6.7.2 it's giving me error.

Steps i followed are: 1. download rom n gapps 2. Rooted and installed cutom recovery(TWRP) 3. wiped cache and reset everything. 4. i tried to install custom rom and im getting error saying something about MD5 and partition. Help me please

Whenever u switch from miui to any new custom rom , flash a patch 6.6.10.0 file .. u can avoid this error .. And then follow the usual process after flashing that patch file....

I have been using the Armani rom for my redmi 1s for quite some time.Recently, I started facing a problem of process lagging which isn't getting fixed on installing all the updates so i decided to install MIUI again.
I went to downloads and downloaded the global MIUI rom 'V7.5.1.0.KHCMIDE'(MIUI7) and placed it on my USB Drive, connected it and flashed it using TWRP recovery. It shows me an error "error executing updater binary in zip" . I had faced the same problem when flashing an older version of a MIUI rom. I also tried checking the verify zip before flashing in twrp menu but still no success. I want to get back to MIUI. Kindly help me in overcoming this problem.

I don't think You can't flash stock ROM via twrp .twrp allow installing of custom things(custom ROM,kernel etc...) . if you want to get back to miui try something along the line of fastboot .
Hi All
I am on MIUI 10.3.1 Stock ROM and Recovery. I can download update, but when it is about to update, says something went wrong.
I tried to download the update zip file and tried to update using choose package, the same error.
I must tell you that in order to enable Camera2 API, I had installed TWRP_ZCX recovery temporarily and had flashed HAL3_Enable_MIUI_PIE a month before.
I am sure this error might have something to do with that recovery. Any help?
Will installing a stock recovery sort the error? If yes, where do I get it? But more importantly, will I lose all my data?

Hi Sunil,
I tried this zip file in two ways, one is by using the system update and choosing package. It gave me the same error.
So i tried to use this file for Mi Flash tool, but says flash script not found.
Any more advice?

What's your device model ? Is it whyred or Vince ?? Doest it have dual camera or single camera ??
You need fastboot ROM package to flash in Mi Flash Tool

Hello,i think this is funny becquse igot the same error. But,I have locked bootloader no root, i was thinking about enabling camera2api ,but not tried it. Only flashed (via updater app) recovery roms (also tried dev. Versions of roms) , and in each rom version is the same error. So my OTA dont work anymore. Last update i must downloaded manually. Somthing ,somewhere is wrong.
Btw: (whyred global version phone,in EU)
Well, 10.3.2 fastboot also didnt flash properly. So I tried 10.3.1 Fastboot files using MI flash tool, after 10.3.1 zip file also failed. And 10.3.1 fastboot file flashed successfully and then it updated normally to 10.3.2. Guess my recovery image was corrupted for some reason.
I have been struggling to install Pixel Experience Android 12 on my Poxo X3 NFC.
I had PE Android 11 before. When I tried to flash Android 12 I get following error

Hello, on my wife's X3NFC I had to flash the latest Full ROM (12.5.7) via Fastboot.
Then I was able to install the lA12 PE. I don't know why I had to do this, but it worked.
She didn't like A12 PE and now A11 PE is running again on her Phone
Maybe (I heard about that) it works too, if you only flash the super.img from latest Fastboot-Image via Recovery.

I installed MIUI fastboot rom. Then I tried to flash PE A12 rom without any issues. But after successful completion, phone reboots to bootloader (Fastboot). Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?

Booting successful into MIUI
Flashing TWRP in Fastboot-Mode
Booting into TWRP, install ROM, wipe Caches and format data.
