Kies has been replace by Samsung Smart Switch.
You can download it free from samsung.
It works really nice.
I like it better than kies.
Have a great day!
I was using kies to download stock firmware, is there any other way downloading firmware directly from samsung?.

You can go to http://sammobile.com and get stock firmware
there, but it's very slow downloading there.
If you want to have a fast download link you can go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...rmware-g928t-complete-untouched-boh6-t3198387
Both places have the exact same untouched N9920T odin flash firmwares.
Good luck,
Have a great day!
I made a backup of my note 4 on kies 3 and had to turn it in to my service provider because it was broken, so how can i get that backup from kies onto my note 5?
Smart Switch is on auto pilot... limited selection on what is being backe up and restored and there are not contacts or files browser which was handy for updating quickly contact, contact images especially etc. I don't like smart switch...it uses an apple dumb user approach.

Does anyone know where or even if there are just plain vanilla stock unrooted Samsung ROMS for the Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8013 (US variant)?? I rooted and flashed a custom ROM to my tablet and after awhile, I decided I wanted to go back to complete stock. I have seen threads with the original stock kernel and recovery, but I sort of wanted a full, 1gig+ stock unrooted ROM offered by Samsung.. I have seen stock ROMs for other series of this tablet, but I have been unable to find any for the N8013. Any help would be great! Thanks!
Sammobile.com has it, but ics only.

Go to www.samfirmware.com and select the firmware tab. Once you enter your tab details, the available firmware is there to download.
Install with Odin and you'll have your stock tab back.
I did that recently having installed the UK JB firmware, but managed to get a binary count of 12 (increased by 2 per flash)
Now I am back to standard and waiting for the official OTA upgrade *yawn*
Good luck

Goto samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N8013 CMA3 v4.1.2 date 09.01.2013
I just want to point out to stop any confusion, GT-N8013 US country name is cellular south (XAR) and not United States.
Also, here is the link for sammobile:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&model=GT-N8013&pcode=XAR&os=1&type=3#firmware
You can go to the link in my signature and download the firmware from there all of them are stock untouched

Can't Get Firmware
Unfortunately, SamFirmWare.com won't let me download the firmware. It asks me to log in, and I do. Then when I go to the Firmware page, it forgets who I am, and tells me to log in again. It doesn't forget anywhere else, JUST on the firmware page.
I tried setting up another account, but they want my credit card info for that now, and I ain't giving that out!
I know that this is the name of the file you are looking for. Do a search for it and this will get you back to a stock ROM.
I know because I had to use it once to recover a quasi-brick issue on my tablet.

Not exactly what you're looking for but this one is all stock, latest firmware except it is deodexed and retains root. You can re-odex the ROM if you want. Been running it for a while now and it's been pretty damn good.

Here is the download link for N8013UEUCMI3_N8013XARCMI3_XAR.zip, it is the latest factory firmware for the GT-N8013 USA version http://terafile.co/03043e576832/N8013UEUCMI3_N8013XARCMI3_XAR.zip
When the page opens you will see a clock for wait time, click on "Regular" and then wait your 10 seconds, enter captcha code and download file.
If your coming from root clear firmware counts with Triangle Away first, then do your firmware flash then a factory reset after firmware install.

It's only needed to reset the flash count, if your not worried about the count and or out of warranty then you don't really need it.
What next

Just trying to be absolutely sure.

As stated in post #14 above......
Install Triangle Away first then run the app to clear firmware counts.
Connect tablet to a PC via factory USB cable.
Boot tablet into Odin mode, start Odin app on PC and in PDA line direct the app to the N8013UEUCMI3_N8013XARCMI3_XAR.zip
file and press Start in Odin app.
After restart do a factory reset from tablet recover mode.
Done

Kies 3 Beta - firmware update not supported
In Kies 3 Beta I get the following message when trying to check for a firmware update:
"Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies".
I don't mind anyway but would be interesting to see what others are experiencing ....
Thank you! I have been looking for this everywhere!

Vancouver, Canada. I'm getting the same thing. Came from Galaxy Note 1, was told my Kies didn't support this device (note 3) and I needed to download Kies 3. Then I get that message you quoted.
So kies 2.6 doesn't work with Note 3 at all? I tried and couldn't get it working. Kies 3 works, but it seems to be missing the podcast options. It's the only reason I'd like to use Kies since downloading podcasts on my phone uses up a lot of data.

Noticed alot sync options are gone too in kies 3.0 ..like sync with outlook
I haven't managed to get Kies working with my Note 3 yet. On a Mac it tells me the note 3 isn't recognised and I'm using the latest version.
WIth my note 1 i could run the USB utility on the phone and my internal and external sd's would mount as drives on the desktop, but it down't work on the note 3.
The only was I can get access to the sd'd is with Kies air at the moment. Anyone had any joy with this?
Thanks

Is there a way to use Kies via wifi? I coudn't find a setting for that.
I tried Kies Air via my web browser and exchanging files was awesome. I love not having to hook up my phone to my PC via cable.
Im new to owning an android, and thought it would be a good idea to root and flash a custom rom onto my Sprint Galaxy s4 sph-l720, Not a good idea. I found some good tutorials to flash the stock rom back onto the phone. I've tried every guide and tutorial there is, but everytime, odin fails. I don't know what i am doing wrong, i may be trying to load the wrong firmware, i am not sure. I was on 4.4.2 Kitkat when i flashed my first custom rom onto my phone, my current custom rom is on 4.4.2, This is very frustrating and at the moment, i do not have a working phone until i can get Odin to stop failing. Thanks for reading. Quick replies would be appreciated!

Did you try to flash firmware with Odin and it didn't complete for some reason? I am asking because I was in your situation when I first bought my Note 3 a while ago.
If this is the reason then it may be the Samsung drivers that are missing from your PC. Some drivers are present and the phone was detected but not all drivers needed were installed, hence the flashing process couldn't complete/failed. Try installing the drivers again, even if you think you have done so already (not just the ones that Windows auto installs when you connect your phone), then try to flash the firmware again. Hopefully the procedure will complete this time. It worked for me. Fingers crossed

The process is different with each. The replies you get will depend on which method you use.

Try this instead, follow the instructions to install the firmware they linked, then follow the instructions for the OTA update.
http://www.droidviews.com/update-att-note-3-with-lollipop-ota-and-root-it/
If you don't want root then just ignore that part and only go as far as getting the OTA update installed.
@Whitefleet91
I read that guide again and edited this post to say that you need to do the first section and then do the OTA update. You have to flash back to original firmware before it will let you apply the OTA.
