Hi friends, a guy was selling a brand new note 5 64 GB for 450 and I gave him the money right away. Still I did't root it yet for 2 reasons. 1- because there's no pretty much any roms available for it, and the 2nd reason is that my Samsung pay might not work if I root it... any ideas? Thanks a lot.
Samsung Pay wont be available if you root it. No question about that.
Also, it is still worth it to get Freezas Kernel because it is extremely fast and you can Root and have the phone already setup for when a fully custom ROM is released.
$450 for a 64gb note 5? You better make it has a clean IMEI number.

Thanks, I did make sure it was clean, in fact we did the deal at the store. The seller got a free phone from Microsoft so he doesn't need an additional phone as he claimed. He originally bought the device from best buy without a contract. He gave me the receipt, all accessories and the box and basically everything. And also screen protector, beautiful case. I still can't believe it, thanks God I didn't have money to buy this beast phone even though I had my note 4:angel:

If you are waiting for Google Play Store, please don't wait for them. The best you can do is get free shipping or playstore credit. For retail, the price starts to come down after a few months. If it is close to Christmas, Easter or any major holidays then there are great deals to be taken.
On a new device like this, Google doesn't usually reduce the price. They may offer additional incentives for the holiday season, such as Play Store credit, free shipping, etc., but that's about it. The price won't be reduced until just before the next nexus phone is released, probably 4th quarter 2014. Of course, there's always the possibility of some crazy event affecting the norm... but I wouldn't count on it.
Phone is already cheap for what you get. Check out the Moto G for $200.

I am fine with paying $349.That is a great price for the phone. What I am trying to decide is whether to purchase it now or wait for February when I will actually get to use the phone. I want to purchase it now, so that I can have it already. However, if it it might get reduced between now and then, it would be wise to wait. In the past have the prices stayed constant until the new model came out?

I'm done with Galaxy phones too. I booted up my S4 today to update it to the new MK2 OTA update because I'm getting it ready to sell. After a few weeks with my N5 I had already forgotten what a pain in the a$$ Knox is. Never again!
I've received mine today and so far so good.
Using EE and Vodafone sim plus 128gb Sd Card.
I'm going to be testing 4g when i step out for both networks, don't have the best of signals within my house.
Sd card works without any silly error messages or compatibility issues.
Not noticed any Chinese bloatware at all which i a plus, full english os.
So far so good
If you have any questions give me a shout.
I can confirm this version works on all 4 G networks no issues. I've tried EE, Vodafone, O2 and 3.

what are your thoughts on the phone? happy with it? I went through all notes except for 6 with no sd cards lot. I ended going to s7 and now miss my big phone!!

You should be fine on the box it clearly states LTE 800 2600.
So far so good no real issues and I'm very happy with my purchase. Nougat is fantastic and some of the dark LG themes are brilliant,
Ui has improved vastly, I recommend it over any other android phone. I've had Pixel XL, Iphone 7 plus, S7 Edge, Huawei p9 plus but v20 is unique mainly due to the second screen.
Camera is excellent
Love the dual sim benefit
My only issue is I wish the build quality was better, wish it was more like the iPhone 7 plus. I prefer heavier phone just gives it a more premium feel.

I usually root all my phones but at the moment for me there's no real reason too. Hopefully development takes off for this phone then I might.
Also I'll only root if there's no real risk and I don't feel comfortable just yet.

Hopefully dev does take off you're quite right. Be a shame otherwise. I use to do galaxy notes. Didn't get 6 cause no ad card. Then 7 obviously..... So this is my new alternative. Looking forward to it too haha

Honestly I think this phone is really good, having said that though I am in the process of returning mine. Just look at the lack of activity in these threads for this phone and lack of custom roms, if you are happy with stock phone then get it otherwise theres hardly any custom stable roms unfortunately and there sadly seems to be a lack of devs here for this phone.

I just purchased one from B&H photo. I was going to get a new one, for $110 off the purchase price, of a 32 or 64gb version. But they had used white 32gb version, 9 out of 10, for $219 free shipping, so I got that. It will be here Friday. Hope it is in good shape. For $219 can't go wrong.

Yeah I'm about to pull the trigger on that deal as well. I kinda wish it comes other the doctor strange bundle.
They're a bunch of used one on ebay for around $250 ish (no original box), but for $40 more I would rather pay for a new device or reputable seller.

U got a real result there mate.
I have had my honor 8 for a few months now and I love it.
I hadn't rooted Etc and staying with stock on this one for a good while.
I know that people ain't happy with the custom ROM stuff that's happening or not happening.
This will change though, off you read what the devs are saying over on the custom ROM thread they are saying that they are working on thier own sources for Lineage 14.1 and once they have that sorted all of the other ROMs will quickly follow.
If I could start again with this phone would I still buy it knowing what I know about honor's lack of involvement ??

As other members said, if you plan to root and want custom rom i'm not going to recommend it, but if you stay stock, go get it. I got like one month ago and i'm happy, i didn't made root, i'm running B360 (Android 7.0) on FRD-L09 and everything it's just perfect. I like the EMUI 5.0 a lot, idk why a lot of people hate it. So, as i said, if you don't care too much about development go get it.

Yes I have had the N update for a while.
It's all running very well, very smooth, I'm not finding any bugs.
My flat mate has the pixel and his phone is not running any better than my Honor 8

May not be available where you are. But when I started using S8, an image of a card kept popping up from the bottom. Also, Samsung Pay can be downloaded from Galaxy Apps store.
I saw an update for Samsung Pay last night and it's for added support for S8 and S8+. I'm already using Samsung Pay on my S6, so... I doubt I'm eligible for that offer. D: Thought it was for new users only.

Buy from ebay.in 64GB and 4GB RAM. Use 10% disc coupon. But ask for TA1003 model only. TA1000 comes with modified ROM and you cannot update OTA.
But only seller warranty applicable as phone is imported.
