That's normal. You were lucky before. Try starting from scratch, then use titanium backup to delete rams apps then reboot. Then manually push the replacements to there correct location, fix permissions, then reboot

Help with system app uninstall

I'm on NeoRom v3 where Titanium backup is pushed as a system app, wanted to uninstall it, tried through several applications since several methods i tried didn't work and i think i partially deleted the app, but it's still coming back lol
It is still in apps list in the default settings menu but it's not among the other apps in apps drawer. When i try to install my version of titanium bckup, it doesn't except it.
What to do? Is there any tutorial for uninstalling system apps?

System apps could be uninstalled simply by deleting apk file and .odex file(if exists) from /system/app/.
Try deleting those files and reboot phone if you didnt already tried.
Not to mention, take backup since you are playing with system apps..
Now it's seems uninstalled but I can't install titanim bakcup again, it goes FC before even opening, like i deleted something in system that i shoudn't. blerg, nevermind, tnx for help

[DISCONTINUED] ROM Max Flavour for ZTE V967S v5

DISCONTINUED.
DISCLAIMER:
Rooting your phone and using custom Recoveries and ROMS have risks and may result in bricking your device, and has nothing to do with Google or the device manufacturers. In case of any mishap I am not responsible if you brick/ruin your phone in any way.
Basic computer skills are required and minimal knowledges about phones and phones utilities too.
Make sure that whatever you do, you are doing it at your own responsibility.
Max Flavour is an optimized ROM, prepared from 1.0.5 stock version.
Update 12.02.2014
- built again from scratch
- fast, smooth and stable
- multilingual (as all my ROMs)
- improved and optimized
- deodexed, zipaligned, init.d support
First boot will take a little bit more time because of the deodexed system, but be patient.
Update 24.11.2013 CHANGELOG
- added version Max Flavour Slim 4.2 with stock launcher replaced by Touchwiz launcher at your request.
=> This version has to be installed with a clean install.Update 16.11.2013 CHANGELOG
- fixed shutanimation loop and also bootanimation.
- hide big 3G/G network type icons from status bar.
- add email and browser alternative apps.
- cleaned up build.prop.
=> This version can be installed over the previous but clean cache and dalvik cache before install.Update 12.11.2013 CHANGELOG
- new implementation of the stock ROM base with translations from official Mediatek language folders. This version is more accurate, but not all languages are translated complete, so you have to accept that.
- various fixes: brightness and autobrightness, screen colors and depth, GPS (new fix), network, tethering, sounds, callerID matching, and some others.
- fixed computer connection as USB Mass storage in any windows (no ZTE drivers needed).
- optimizations for ram, kernel, cache.
- more speed and smoothness.
- some UI improvements, like autohide empty SIM symbol, wallpapers.
- for GPS all needed files are included.
- for adblocker, the hosts file is properly configurated.
Gapps are included in essential version. You can flash "Gapps to complete zip" to get full suite.
INSTALL INSTRUCTION:
To flash a new ROM properly, you need one of my recoveries (for these I'm sure they works).
1. Reboot to recovery.
2. Do a nandroid backup or backup in cwm.
3. mount USB Mass Storage and delete from sdcard these three directories:
.android_secure
Android
LOSTDIR
4. Copy ROM zip or zips on sdcard
5. Eject mass storage from computer and then unmount in recovery
6. wipe all/factory reset or pre-flash wipe in recovery
7. wipe or erase dalvik cache
8. flash zip from sdcard, choose ROM zip, flash it and reboot, or if you flash my ROM version 3.3, the phone will reboot itself.
That's all, this is the correct way to flash any new ROM in any phone thru recovery.
QUICK GPS FIX:
If you want to quick fix gps, do all steps from this post, without downloading MobileUncle - is already installed in ROM.
For extending data partition, please refer to this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44321463&postcount=3

friend, is just an idea.Your custom Rom is wonderful, works fine, but could you make a clean rom ? there are applications that you install on your custom rom and I not use.

If is not a system app you can uninstall it from settings apps downloaded.
If is a system app, easy way is to use ESFileManager as root explorer and R/W Mounted all, access /system/app, select unwanted apk and corespondent odex and delete. After that reboot and done. But, gapps apps tends to FC if are not all installed (especially in JB), Facebook and tweeter won't work if they are not in system, and any other app I put there has a specific purpose. And you don't know how many people ask me for facebook, tweeter, g-plus, etc. I don't use any of these, and neither gapps, but I have to put in ROM what most of users want. Also, there is an app on playstore, Rom Customizer that let you uninstall system apps in a correct way, even they are odexed.

Try to exclude MobileUncle when you do old backup, or delete it first, because in new version I put a modded version of MobileUncle. I decompiled app to remove chinese gps fix, and replaced with european one.
Now, when you start MobileUncle, in Power gps menu if you initiate GPS set it will load european fix version.
And other thing you have to do, download the ROM again. Seems that yesterday links were corrupted somehow (during upload or in Drive, I don't know), MobileUncle and Ygps lost their permissions and even they are in ROM, don't start. I checked after someone pointed that to me, and I uploaded links again. Now they are ok.

No, it doesn't. It's a simple app with fewer option than stock camera, but I think it slightly increase photos quality. But I provided solution to restore stock camera.

You can change that if you install xposed framework of rovo89 and gravity box module of C3C076, but I modded specialy that with full charging animation, so it's no need to activate battery percentage from settings to see battery state. I changed correspondent xmls to provide full range. In stock version that covers only few stages, 0-15-28-43-57-71-85-100. I added suport for 0-1-2-3........-100 like in cyanogenmod.

Hi, wow very interesting!!! I have never used this before,(gravity box module / xposed framework)
That is the tool I was looking for, many thanks :good::good::good:
The rom is very smooth, and very faster loading his icons, now i gonna try to increase userdata partition.
1 question, on a system with 2.5 userdata when you flash a new normal rom do the userdata back to normal or stay the userdata on 2.5?

If the new ROM is a normal one your partition will remain 2.5 (check zip without unpacking and see if there is EBR1 and EBR2 inside - if you see these check ROM specifications, because these binaries are for extending data partition or for restore to normal). If inside ROM zip there isn't any EBR, you are safe, it's normal ROM, and you can flash it with no impact for data partition.
thanks my friend for new release 3.3
I want to ask about
2. Do a nandroid backup or backup in cwm.

is possible integrate apk's in firmware?

Hello everyone, I would like to restore often doing some apk in the rom that I have already installed, so if I do a factory data reset I find myself these integrated programs in the rom. I tried using Titanium Backup to create me an update zip but even if I flashed to restore the programs disappear. I remembered that you could do with titanium .... my questions are 2
1. if you can do it with titanium shown me step by step how to do?
2. there is a program to do these zip to flash that remain on forever?
thanks 1000
I don't know how to do that with Titanium Backup because i do not use it.
But you can make a flashable zip file of the (fresh flashed) firmware with cwm and integrate the apk's you want afterwards into the zip.
Maybe this gives you an idea.

Not tried on my Moto G (not really had the desire or need to deviate from stock), but on my rooted Tablet I use Titanium to
1 ) Integrate System App updates (e.g. Maps, Playstore etc) into the System partition - via the Batch Actions menu, under Move/Integrate.
2 ) Convert User Apps to System Apps - if you long press on the app on the app listing screen it shows a pop up menu - the last choice is 'Convert to system app'.
On my old phone I used RootExplorer and copied the file into the system and set the permissions. It might need a reboot after too. I didn't used it with updated apps but I prefer to keep things stock in that way.

Titanium Backup Integrate apps not working

Hi, someone noticed that titanium backup integration into system is not working with android lollipop?? (if I remember the same for kit kat ).
I have the lastest pro version 7.0.0.2.
I can´t contact titanium track because the e-mail they provide don´t work (always failed delivery status notification).
How can I contact them?

Yes. It's not working on Lollipop, because apps are not directly in /system/app anymore, but they are in directories one by one. If you want to integrate updates, just use root explorer and move from /data/app to /system/app (permissions are allready ok), clean dalvik cache with TB and reboot. That's it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention. Directories of Velvet.apk, Phonesky.apk and PrebuiltGsmCore.apk are in /system/priv-app. Don't forget to move libs also.

You can't do it automatically anymore, because off Lollipops different system handling. But you will notice, that for integrating updates things are better now. You don't need to be careful on lib files anymore. For example: some apps, like Maps, Google+, Hangouts and most important GooglePlayServices crashed on KitKat when you integrate them with TB. You have than to extract them and put the matching libs in /system/lib.
Also, as you maybe noticed yet, TB can't restote system apps anymore. From the same reason.

data/app problem, apps disapeared but folder seems OK

Hello Android lovers
I'll try to make it as simple and easy as I can, I searched a few hours on google, XDA and everywhere but can't find any answer.
I have a Asus Zenfone 2 with BORETS Stock ROM with android 6.0.1 and it worked fine since this week and a bad app update.
I updated MinMinguard to 2.1 and after reboot i got black screen... I can only press power button and see the reboot panel, and reboot, etc...
So I used TWRP to delete MinMinGuard in "data/app" folder, but first time I used it and I did some mess, copied some "com.xxxxxx" in another "app" folder inside the same, so like "data/app/app/com.xxxxx". before finally delete MinMinGuard folder.
And it worked, reboot was ok, apps was ok, all fine.
But I wanted to make it all clean, delete copied "app" folder in "data/app" but since everything is ****ed up. Android boot fine but I loose nearly all apps. Just left Asus apps every other is out, even playstore, google apps and stuff... So I can't do anything...
So, "data/app" folder is NOT empty
- each app folder have "base.apk", "lib" and "oat" folder (seems normal)
- tried to install ROM again a few times (to at least got play store and install apps again) did not worked
- formated cache and dalvik, after reboot I got "optimizing" popup and 88 apps instead of 135 before the mess.
- modified chmod of "app" folder because it's maybe just a reading problem as the folder is not empty.
And I'm out of idea................
I'd like not to format data/system as my backup is not up to date... And I don't even know if it''ll save the stuff...
If I have to format all, can you tell me how not to loose all my data (hard and ugly backup ), I saw a "data/data" folder, seems it will do the trick...
And about SMS I saw "/data/data/com.android.providers/telephony/databases/mmssms.db", will this work ?
Thanks a lot for your help
I'll have to move for 2 days and without my phone I'll have some troubles... ^^'

If you still have TWRP, create a nandroid backup using the backup feature in TWRP, then save the backup on external sdcard or on PC. Then use the wipe feature in TWRP, then select the "advanced wipe" option then select the system partition, data partition, cache partition and dalvik cache, then swipe the slider to wipe, then you're ready to flash whatever custom ROMs are available for your device. After flashing your ROM, you can extract your data from the TWRP backup that you created and restore the data of your choice back onto the device.
Or, you can flash your original stock firmware. The easiest way to find what you need to do this is to do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
That should find the needed files, tools and instructions. After restoring stock firmware, start over with getting the device rooted and TWRP installed. Then you can extract the data of your choice from your TWRP backup and restore it on the device.

As obvious as it was I forgot about the nandroid backup... ^^'
Thanks a lot for detailled steps
Edit : I made a backup of system and another backup of data. formated only system. flashed Borets ROM again. Started good but like a fresh new phone.
So I restored only data (folder "data/app" was empty) and again everything is messed up...
I'll go with fresh install and install back every apps (damn annoying), it seems "data/data" was fine so I hope all apps data will be safe... SMS is the most important...
