In order to Install Custom Recovery on Micromax A76, we first need to root it.
For Rooting I have found following steps using Framaroot.apk worked on my Micromax A76:
1. Install Framaroot.apk on your Micromax A76.
2. Run Framaroot on your device.
3. Choose to install SuperSu.
4. Then Click on ''Boromir''.
5. There will be a root confirmation message, click ok and reboot your device.
After reboot SuperSu in your App drawer confirms that rooting is successful.

i bought a micromax ninja a89 phone for my wife 2 days back. we are happy with that phone. i wanna install custom recovery. please help me with answers/advice. i have left space below each question to make it easier for you to answer. please answer. many thanks in advance for all help.
(1) which should i install - cwm recovery or twrp recovery?
(2) which is the latest version of each working well on micromax ninja a89?
(3) i’m not too proficient in all this and hence scared about the SP Flash Tool procedure. can i use the MobileUncleTools procedure shown in the attached pic safely? the phone is just two days old – i will be doomed if i brick it.
(4) i have downloaded Micromax A89 Stock Rom V3 from here: http://d-h.st/ZqW [Size: 236.17 MB (247637071 bytes)]. the link was obtained from this page: http://www.andro-park.org/2013/04/install-stock-rom-v2-on-micromax-a89-heating-problem-solve.html
(5) is it advisable to flash Micromax A89 Stock Rom V3 immediately after installing custom recovery?
(6) is there a flashable zip file for Micromax A89 Stock Rom V3? please provide the link.

1 Root Your Phone with Motochopper
2 download and install mobile uncle tool from Playstore
3 download CWM recovery from link below
4 Put in root of Scard (internal storage)
5 select it and install and reboot to Cwm recovery

Does the Doodle 2 come with an unlocked bootloader, or I have to unlock it before proceeding for the Root? Can anyone guide me as to how to root the Micromax Doodle 2 A240 and will all my data be lost in the process?
Any hope of getting a CTR Recovery Port or even TWRP? Thanks.

Note: This method only works for Jelly bean firmware..
Lava iris 504q+ is an awesome handset with Mediatek 6582 chipset.
Here's the simple way to root this device using Framaroot app..
Requirements:
1- Lava iris 504q+
2- Framaroot app version 1.9.0 (Download from below thread link)
Steps:
1- Download framaroot.apk v1.9.0 from below link
2- Install the app (If some warning comes while installing tick on the check box and select install anyway)
3- From drop down menu select install super su. (By default it'll be selected)
4- Click on barahir.
It'll show succes Super user and su binary installed..
That means your device has been rooted
5- Reboot your phone
-In app drawer you will se super su app.
-You can verify root access by dowloading Root checker app from play store

Nopes.. but I can port kitkat themed rom. But after some days as phone is with my brother and he's out of station

You can use Framaroot to easily do the job
VROOT
VROOT is the easiest way to do it but you can also try Framaroot
VROOT will surely work, not sure about Framaroot....
Before rooting enable USB Debugging in developer options in Settings.
(to get developer options> go to settings> about device> Click "build number" 7 times)
Download VROOT and just click root !!!
