CM12 doesn't have this issue, but the stock rom still has the (I'm guessing) KitKat dialer icon. It bugs the crap out of me. I know this could be changed by using a custom launcher, but on stock rom I like using the default launcher.
I found this thread for the original moto g that has a file to flash to change the dialer icon. Could the same be done for our stock rom to change the dialer icon to material design?
Here is the thread I'm talking about: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646788
I'm not looking for apps that change icons, or different launchers, ect. But if anyone knows a flashable zip that would work for our phone, that be great :good:

Easiest to do this is use other launcher then stock one. You can edit icons, rename them etc. ADW launcher from market works great.
hi i am looking for an icon pack apk to work with pkmn rom 5.0 that looks like the stock ics icons.(like galaxy nexus) i have tried this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ult#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImtvdi50aGVtZS5pY3MiXQ..
didnt work, but it let me find them in pkmn tweaks and set it as if they where on that icon pack but no icons changed...(also tried a honeycomb one by the same dev and that one changed it)
could someone post an apk of the stock ics icons (adw) or give me instructions on how to get the ics theme app i have to work?
I'm sure I am not the only one who would like this
I've got this problem on every AOSP L ROM I install - when I activate SwiftKey and choose it over AOSP LatinIME this choice persists only until I turn the screen off.
After I wake it up the default IME is again AOSP one.
It's very annoying. Does someone know how to make the change permanent?
Or is there any way to switch AOSP LatinIME to stock LatinIME with working swype functionality? I only installed SwiftKey because it's broken in AOSP one..
I tried deleting apk and libjni_latinime.so and replacing them with the ones extracted from stock based ROM but it didn't work.
Maybe someone know how to accomplish that, possibly can it be automated by a flashable zip?
Well, no luck replacing aosp keyboard with stock but freezing the fist one with titanium backup allowed swiftkey to persist as default IME
I think thread can be closed.
anyone has a flashable zip of latin ime with working swype?
EDIT: i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2910268
Hi, I want to have transparet app drawer like in Android L iwth white icon.
I found this file extracted from L, but it can be installed over the original lollipop launcher and I want to have both.
Maybe someone can help me with that and try to edit this file to install with different name like launcherL to not replace Google Now Launcher ??
Editing the package name, my knowledge isn't too good on that, but I know it requires decompiling the APK and editing the Android Manifest file.
As to installing KitKat's Google Now version on Lollipop, I don't know how that works since Lollipop uses a different Google version. You can give it a try though. [emoji14]
Google Now Launcher (Google Search) is obfuscated, therefore you won't be able to change the package name.
If you wan't transparent app drawer on Google Now Launcher you have to install Google Search app from 4.4.4.
Hi, I am also testing what you want to do. I am being editing all "Velvet.apk" and try making the app drawer being transparent.
For the 'all apps' icon or launcher, there is no problem to edit it.
Maybe it is the way to install it as normal launcher like Nova etc. to not replace original one..
This may be a pointless question but I'm currently running BlissPop 3.6, 5.1.1 on my boost moto g xt1031. I've noticed that any part of the systemui that I have edited using the Bliss interface no longer appears in the systemui.apk file. Ie: navbar icons, battery icons, network and WiFi icons. I planned on adding more than what came offered with the ROM, but I cannot find the files for any of the icons that I'm currently using, or have edited the colors on. Does anybody know where they go once edited by the ROM's settings menu?? Any input would be greatly appreciated!!
