Hi,
The app is taking over spotify when I try to listen to music with Bluetooth in my car. I asked assistance in spotify forum but they could not help.
The app is built in as people know and there is not even disabling option. How can I get rid off it?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for the respond. Yes i tried, but there isnt any other available option. Writing with my honor 6 so excuse some typos. Also my main language is not english.
Let me explain this better:
I use spotify with bluetooth to listen to music through my car stereo, which is pioneer mvh 360bt. Everything worked; i could see the song details etc in the stereo display screen and next or previous buttons worked with stereo buttons. Making it very easy to change a song while driving. Suddenly i could no longer see song details and buttons to change songs stopped working also. No idea what may cause it. I did not change or install anything suspicious, except updates on apps obviously. What i discovered is the built in music app, which started to show song details in stereo screen and took over spotify. Basicly the whole controlling is in the music app now. I tried to figure out how can i get spotify back as it used to be, no luck yet. I deleted all songs related to music app and so on. Now i can play songs through spotify, but i cant change songs with stereo buttons and the screen show no title or no name. I think the stereo and bluetooth still connects to music app while leaving spotify outside.
What i tried to do:
Reseted phone to factory settings
Tried two different apps: bluetooth connect and play app, autoaudio bluetooth help. These programs did not change anything.
Messed with phone and stereo settings..
I think i will also reset the stereo settings just to make sure.. But my girlfriends Sony xperia m2 aqua functions as it should, so the problem must be in my phone, not in stereo.
TLDR: How can i get rid off built in music app and make my spotify to function again with my "honor 6 - bluetooth - pioneer mvh 360bt" so i can change songs with stereo buttons and see the song in stereo display screen?
Spotify said that they cant help me with the issue so i hope i could get some help here.
Feel free to ask more questions and details. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Yes. I tried to install Spotify again, many times. I also tried to install previous versions of spotify with no luck. Though might be a problem that I didn't possibly delete "old files" causing the issue still be there.
The music software, I have absolutely no idea what is it and how can I find previous updates. The software is called "Musiikki", which is "Music" in englishand the version number is v7.0.21.
Btw, I found more threads about similar issue with other Honor 6 users, but also some other phone models having them. Seems like they appeared after installing newest or second newest version of Spotify, but it's weird that I can't even fix the issue anymore by reinstalling older version of Spotify.
What really makes me think is this place where I can change default music application. I can only see there this music software and google play music, but Spotify will not be there, not even with older version.
Tomorrow I am going to reset my phone still one more time and install Spotify version where everything worked. Meanwhile I will also reset my car stereo. If I can't get this to work, I am out of ideas..
Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,
I'm looking for some app to play mp3 songs on my X10.Have Poweramp full version but it gives an error "Too many falied files, playing will now stop" if the mp3 file is not playable.
It then has to be reinstalled to play any songs further.
The only reason I sticked it was due to its awesome equalizer which coupled with good earphones produced excellent music.
I have also tried Music Player Pro-full version and winamp but lack of equalizer & punchy sound makes them dud
Any suggestions please?

My suggestion:
do NOT play corrupted files and stick with PowerAMP. I've tried almost every music player available for Android and in the end I've bought PowerAMP. I need good equlizer as well and PowerAmp is just the best (not only in terms of equalizer).
Btw.: I've been using it for quite a while and the problem you mentioned in 1st post occures when you use cracked version of it. I've installed cracked version to try it before I decided to buy it and it gave me that error. I've never encountered it since I've bought it. So if you don't have it bought, just do it. It really worth that money. If you have, make sure you're using the original version available on Market. Eventually, you can try to send me that song causing the error and I will try to play it on my device to see what happens
as borecz1 said, i have tried EVERYTHING out there!! and since i have been moding my phone and re-flashing roms so much latley i am still on the "trial" version, but intend to but the app once i've finished tinkering!
What i would dearly love (dev's..!!) is an app that can access the internal EQ settings on my x10i. I have seen a few that you can use with your PC, but i'm blown if i know what numbers to put into each box.
An app with access to the internal EQ, perhaps with a preset or 2 would be my very next purchase!!!

MIUI - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913166
Our phone system at my job sends voicemails as WAV attachments through our Exchange server when someone leaves a message on your extension. Even up to when I was on my Galaxy S3 I've had to install a third party audio player that supports WAV files to play these.
I recently discovered that Kit Kat (4.4) now plays these WAV attachments natively. I and two of my fellow IT teammates all purchased the N5 on release day but while both of their N5s will play them as expected, I get a popup that says "Sorry, cannot open this file". I tried a factory reset and only installed apps that weren't audio related, but still get the same message. Anyone else able to open WAVs or getting this error? How would I troubleshoot this? I also tried resetting all app defaults in the app manager to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any help with this. Minor annoyances are usually the ones that eat at me the most.
All of a sudden my phone has started doing this. I use to work fine with just Play Music installed and would just play the wav file from the email screen but it doesn't do it anymore.

This just started happening to me as well. Just minutes ago I went to play a voicemail I received through my Exchange email and had the same result. I even tried saving the .wav file but nothing will open it. I could probably install an audio player that will handle wav files, but I'm pretty sure this previously used to work fine.
Has anyone else experienced this, or have any ideas?

Its the same sort of thing for me as well, even if I download it it won't play. I think and this is only me guessing but its probably something to do with an update to Play Music since that is the only thing that has changed on my phone since it stopped working.

It looks like others have noticed similar things, such as here on a Motorola phone: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/fe2e143972
In that thread, two people reported that rolling back Play Music (and Quickoffice?) fixed the problem, while one person said that didn't fix it. I just tried it myself and still have the same problem after going back to the factory versions of Play Music and Quickoffice.
I also found that Google officially doesn't even list wav files as supported by Play Music: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1100462
It looks like people are just installing other media players that will handle wav files... but I liked that I could play them directly in the email without even having to open another app...

I don't even have Quickoffice installed. I have tried a few different music players but for some reason they don't like to play it from within the email app.
I have this problem too with the copy of my voicemail that is delivered via MMS to Hangouts (see my thread here). Play Music and VLC just won't play them. Installed MX Player which opens and plays them without issue.

I am a new N5 owner, and have the same issue. This was my first major disappointment with the phone, coming from a N4. My N4 handled .wav voice mails native in the mail app, which I was excited about, coming from a HTC One S where I had to download each attachment and play it in an alternate app. I feel like I have moved backwards.
I have noticed for a very long time on my N5. In fact, not sure it was working from the very beginning. When trying to pick the WAV as attachment in Gmail, I'm presented with the native picker only a couple XBMC remote control apps. The odd thing is is that if I select that WAV from a file explorer app, such ES File Explorer, it presents many more apps with which to play the file, including Google Play Music itself, which then is played flawlessly in Google Play. I wonder why the native app picker doesn't present you with all the music player apps that are installed.
Mine definitely used to work... I was very surprised today when I found it didn't work anymore. I've had my Nexus 5 for over 3 months and I'm positive I've listened to voicemail email attachments during that time. Not sure what's up with this, but I'd really like this feature back...
I tried MX Player and many other players... some will open the file after saving it, but I couldn't make any work from email. Tapping on the attachment just says "Couldn't play the track you requested."
Sad to see this go too. I was playing .wav files through the native gmail app as well until just a few days ago. Now I get no app installed to open this file.
Ended up buying Wav Player by Dennis Lockshine. This app will play within the gmail app.
Same here on my nexus 5. Already had this issue back in december ended up fixing it when I rooted and reinstalled everything. Now the problem is back again.

I tried this the other day, with no luck. I even cleared the Play Music cache, rebooted, wiped cache and dalvik cache in TWRP, still nothing. After seeing your post I decided to just try a .wav voicemail again and now it actually works... I haven't changed anything since the other day. Really strange. I've disabled automatic updates to Play Music and will just leave it be for now, since this is working again...
For those for whom removing updates does not work, could it be that you're running a custom ROM or have a Gapps package with an update to the app that can't be reverted back to the version with which WAVs can be played from Gmail?
Hi there,
I don't like to use the stock music player. I want to use Spotify only.
If the music is playing and the device is locked, I push the power button und get the lock screen, with the music controls in the upper area. If I hit "pause", the fun begins: Spotify stops playing and the stock music app starts playing. This is just ridiculous.
I tried to set Spotify as default music player, but that doesn't change that behaviour. I installed Nova Launcher, but I cannot "disable" the stock apps as I have no root.
Are there any possibilities to disable the stock music app without root?

Seems not possible without root i have the same Problem with Google play music. Stock music begins to play...
Think positively that the default player comes with many free music.
But its not possible to control the music through lock screen. Thats a big gap
I am having this same issue. Stock lock screen seems to have media controls permanently locked to stock music player. The most infuriating thing is the artwork and everything is displayed as you would expect, but as soon as you touch a media control it activates stock music app.
What a pain in the arse bug Hauwei. how did you screw that up!?!

You can't change the default music app to Spotify. In addition, I've already tried changing it to something other than the default music app but it still does't work.
It seems like the only way to do it is to disable the stock music app - but I don't have root
Damn, you're right. Just tried it with PowerAmp with the same result. The lock screen is even worse, overlaying the Huawei buttons (that don't work) over the PowerAmp lock screen controls. The smart cover controls serve only to stop the music, and once paused you have to unlock to play again.
This may be what pushes me to root...

Even with root you won't be able to solve the stock lockscreen music button mess ... Huawei did a lot right with the Mate 7 and with EMUI, but they also have a lot of silly bugs that can drive you crazy ...

Thanks for that. I do agree - there is a lot in EMUI that I would normally root to implement - and this is sadly something we will have to live with, for now. Thankfully Pocket Casts monitors the buttons on my Nokia Monster headphones, and that's how I pause/unpause anyway.
Does anyone know of a forum we can voice our concerns on? Perhaps a feedback mechanism that Huawei monitors...
UPDATE: I found a solution for this dilemma. You'll need root though. The music player controls in the lockscreen can actually be used to control ANY currently running music app and even show title and album cover. HOWEVER, you'll have to UNINSTALL the Huawei Music app from the system folder, which is what you need root for. Once the Huawei Music app is gone (remember: UNINSTALLED, NOT frozen), the fixed link between the lockscreen controls and the stock music player are gone.
Sweet. Gives me a good reason to root. Now to go find that thread...
[EDIT]
Damn, looks like my firmware has been updated beyond what works for a live root solution.

BL unlocking is a bit quirky, but you can always revert back to the stock BL after flashing CWM. Rooting once you have unlocked your BL is easy-peasy.
You can disable the Music app out right i do this via adb shell using the following command.
pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.mediacenter

This can be done without root as it only uninstalls from the user not the phone so factory reset will get the app back.
Make sure you reboot after to make it take effect.

Yeah but what I hate about the Stock Music App is that there is no "Genre" tab, and i'm someone that loves just selecting a genre and listen to whatever I have on my phone. Also, I'm trying Spotify Premium for three month (there was a promotion that costed me 1€ for 3 months), so I don't really use anything else.
Any other ideas?

what I ended up doing was just installing Microsoft's "Next" lockscreen app from the play store, and enabling the setting to "use password lock only".
It's a workaround, but it works well (works with fingerprint unlocking and doesnt make you have to unlock twice, usable media controls with spotify and all other media apps)
just make sure you grant it every possible permission, battery setting etc and it should work fine. its not like the huawei lockscreen was really any good anyway.
With B320 lockscreen music controls show album art from Google Play Music, in previous versions that did not work, so maybe other apps will work too.

i tested "Neutron Music Player" ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.neutroncode.mp&hl=de )
it works. when the phone connects via bluetooth to a device it will play the last played position and track/list.
you can turn this behaviour on or off.
