How do you root a ZTE Speed N9130? I've tried several and still can't get it. Please don't link me to the "root any device" one because it doesn't work for crap :/

Hi,
Sadly, there isn't any direction to go on the site for a working rooting method. But there are people that share your angst.
I hope that the Speed was a gift, as I have a habit of making sure root is attainable on my devices before buying them. Just a suggestion for next time around.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I am also in the same boat as this user. I just want to remove the default apps that came pre-installed. I have searched the forum with key words 'Alcatel OT922' and didn't get many hits.
Make that 3 of us. So far, I've tried One Click Root (failed), Superoneclick (hangs on step 7 every time) and 74root (failed). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Me too please
Make that 4, I would also like to know this please. Thank you :good:

So I have a friend who has this tablet, a Visual Land Prestige 7, Model # : ME-107-L-8GB, Android 4.2 JellyBean. He tried to root the device using a market app called Towelroot before I could get to him. He says he ran the app and now all his tablet does is freeze up, and as far as we can tell it is still not rooted.
I have successfully rooted 3 separate GS3's and an HTC Evo, so I can say I know my way around a tiny bit, but I sure as heck would never trust any apk to do the rooting for me.
Anyway, I cannot find any support for this off brand or model on the site, so i figured i would ask here. Any one know the correct way to root this particular device? any replies appreciated. Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is in the wrong place, please move it wherever you think it should go.

Try framaroot.apk, super click root ,z4root.apk may be one pf them root ur device
Sent from my LG-P760 using XDA Free mobile app
You could try toweroot root as well...
I have used Bin4ry's method and never have any problems. You can get it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
The other way would be to use dsixda's Android Kitchen:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
Of course that is a little more involved, but that to has never failed me.
Hope this helps.
i also had a tablet with no brand name, vroot did it for me.

I've been combing the internet looking for guides on how to root Hisense's phone, specifically the Hisense U-980. I've found almost no leads out there, probably because its an obscure chinese brand that most outside of china have never heard of. There is a one click method guide on youtube that supposedly works on all chinese phones but i've yet to actually try it because i cant even understand the language, it's written in. Should i try it out anyway and just hope that my backups work??
I'm very close to throwing in the towel but, before that happens, i thought, i though i'd ask folks here for any good leads/advice for me to follow up on.
Thanks in advance!

Use king root..
I have a U971 and tried various ways to root it. KingRoot refused to recognise my Android although I could access it on my PC. Root genius solved my problem and completed the rooting in a few minutes.
Hello all. I have looked and looked and have not found an answer to this question. Is it possible to root my zte n9520 without a computer? I have tried most (that I could find anyway) of the apk root apps and have come up with nothing that works. The ones that I have used for previous phones do not work with this phone. Any help would be appreciated.

So nothing yet? Was hoping someone would have something for me.
Still nothing huh? That sucks.
Regarding the possible root of the ZTE MAX n9520 without a computer, if anyone has an idea how, or better yet, what would be needed to get this rooted. I am asking if anyone may be working on this and is looking for things from the device that would require to get this root app going? I will be happy to do what I can to help. Just let me know.
I know I am posting to my own thread, but was hoping someone would have an idea or possibly was working on, a rooting app for the ZTE Max n9520 and just needed someone with the original is and what not.
I have a zte valet z665c that is just sitting in a drawer at the moment because i recently got a new phone. Last year I tried unknownones root method but I kept getting errors. Does anyone know a working method to root this phone? I was hoping to be able to use it for root apps such as droidsheep etc. Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for using XDA assist
Did you give a try to kingroot?
It looks like there is no dedicated forum for your device. However there is a general forum for android here http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help where you can try to ask to get the expert's help
Good luck.
I believe I sit try it last year, along with every root method I could find, even if it wasn't for my device. No dice, ever.
