[Completed] Ext SD Card mount issue(after flashing new rom, first time) - XDA Assist

Device- Samsung Tab2 GT-P3113 4.2.2 Rooted, CWM Recovery
Issue/Error-"Mount Script Error"
Mount script cannot be created-Your/system partition has not enough storage space
History
Partitioned 32gb ext sd card with minitool- Fat32 2.7 gb ext2 27.9 gb(probably the issue), it mounted fine & used Link2sd on stock rom, everything worked perfect. Flashed a new rom in rom manager, when i rebooted i got this error message. Should i restore stock rom & repartition sd card more evenly between fat32 & ext2 or change ext to 3 or4 or both. Or am i way off lol

[Q] need help, with app2sd and or partitioning etc

hi Hopefully i am in Right section - not sure what is meant by Not posting a Rom ??
I have a Garmin Nuviphone a50 with android 2.1 , have successfully rooted phone with z4root, I am pretty sure I have partitioned my SD card tried on a mac with EXT-fuse and tried on a windows using mini-partition (as instructions on this site about Partitioning) both ways seem to work -
However here's my problem when i start up Link2SD application it always says :-second Partition not found - /dev/block/mmcblk0p2: - make sure you have 2 partitions both primary .
I partitioned with Fat32 and Ext2 (also tried with Ext3, Ext4 and few others) but always says same with link2sd.
Does anyone know how I can get my apps to SD card or what my problem is or have any suggestions . As i get that message space full so need to move some to SD card (phone supposed to come with 4gb internal memory, i have 16gb SD card also) why is it still full
Need help with Link2sd/app2sd and or partitioning

[Q] Link2SD Problem

Hi,
After searching a lot here and other place, I didn't find the solution of my problem.
I have 8gb card.
1st break up
6GB - FAT32 - Primary
rest - FAT32 - Primary.
Link2SD is not able to mount.
Displaying in storage info as - "SD Card 2nd Part." Not Mounted.
------------------------------------------
2nd try, with another breakup.
6GB - FAT32 - Primary
1.2GB - EXT2 - Primary
60MB - L.Swap - Primary
rest - Unallocated.
From Link2SD, I m able to see that sdext2 is mounted.
So for a demo purpose, I installed an application, The auto linking starts but get fails. Not able to create link /bla/bla/ - I/O error.
I did mount that location as RW with root explorer, no luck.
Please let me know what to do and how to resolve it.
Hi
What app did you use to format the sd card?
When i format my sd card using the cwm, i have to format the ext particion using easeus to ext2 particion, witch is the format that the stock rom suports, when i did that, i go to the app, select ext2 and reboot the device, that does the trick
Tell if it works for you

Hi psicop,
Thanks for your reply, I used MiniTool.
Please suggest how/what to do..
I partitioned my sd with CWM and used A2SD, and it works fine.
Maybe you could try to partition it with CWM?

Link2SD automatically moves all files in SD. Its seems better that A2SD. Correct me if I m wrong.
Also, please tell how to flash recovery to CWM ? I downloaded 1 click recovery and installed the v5.0.2.8 , at the time of flashing, it display failed.
Please direct me from where you did that...
Please help someone, my phone memory is full now... i can also add person to my gtalk or y! messenger....
Do you have clockworkmod recovery installed?
If so, partition your SD from there, and if I'm correct, go to Link2sd, and choose ext4 as partition format... worked for me after numerous fails with other tools...
Edit: search for a tutorial to install CWM. That's how I installed it...

Apps in SD not working
I dunno if its relevant in this thread, but i couldnt find the answer anywhere else.
I partitioned my 8gb class 10 sd card and installed link2sd and all was fine. I created links for most of my apps and everything was fine, until I had to remove my sd card for some data transfer. Now my apps that were shifted previously are not working. For your information I use CM11 in my Galaxy ace.

Seems like you have to reinstall them, dunno why but removing the card might have had created problems.

The problem got solved, when I mounted the script again and did a reboot. When the phone boots, link2sd has to update all the links. There is an option available for this in the settings. Anyways thanks :good:

[Q] hephappy 9.1.4 not recognising ext-sd partition

I have a 16 Gig card partitioned with CWM recovery into 1GB as ext-sd and reamaining as fat32. and then installed hephappy 9.1.4 . I was hoping that i would be able to use the 1GB ext partition to store apps and get red of the LOW INTERNAL MEMORY messages. But I am still getting it. Please suggest a way to get my ext partition working . Thanks in advance.
It has no built-in app2sd script that automatically moves apps. You have to install something like link2sd or davisnt's excellent script. Your question was already answered on the same thread that you got the rom from and has been mentioned several times in the thread. You'll learn a lot about this rom if you go back and read the thread again. Good luck
I had already tried all that before and like i said above the partition was not visible, hence i posted here. anyway I figured out the problem, Somehow the CWM recovery was unable to partition the SD card properly or may be the formatting was improper, as a result of which the Partition was not visible to Android.
So I Solved it b partitioning to ext2 using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition, I reinstalled CM9 hephappy from the card, and installed "link2sd" app, which at once recognised the ext2 partition on the card. and rest was easy.
@mrcorey i did read a lot of posts on that 134+ page Thread. but most of the posts were irrelevant junks by noobs and experienced users lambasting them.
@moderators. you can mark this thread as solved. Thanks

[Q] SD card won't mount - Have I bricked it?

Hi guys.
Almost total noob here - not quite, but still.
I have a Pico/Explorer.
I rooted, flashed CWM 5.05, then a MIUI ROM.. all worked well. Then I wanted to try the new Triumph HD ROM. Initiall install was succesful.
I partitioned my SD card with 1024 ext3 and a swap of 128Mb
Wiped, installed ROM, no problems.
I didn't see that int2ext was supported (by command line, apparently) so I tried installing mount2sd from the play store.
After enabling everything in that app, I rebooted.
Phone became stuck on lock screen.. would not respond to any touches or buttons. But the UI updated when the battery got low, made a noise on low battery etc, and the time was updated.
I booted into recovery to test the buttons, all work fine. I checked my partition log and it said various errors like could not find this or that mount point.
I partitioned again, this time is was extremely slow. I put the SD card into my mac to add the images, but it wasn't found.
Now when I partition it does it really quick - on inspecting the log, it says "err: /dev/block/mmcblk0 does not exist!"
I can't mount the /sdcard or the /sd-ext in recovery.
Have I f!cked my SD card or my device?
Thanks for any help.
Connect your sd-card to pc using card reader if it shows sd-card then ok
If it not show ur sd-card then run minitool partition wizard
And find the sd-card there and format it and delete the sd-ext partition and re-create it using recovery
And never use two memory script at one time
Before using the another memory script remove the previous one

little pico
Thanks dude.
When I plug it in with a USB card reader, the SD card doesn't show - in minitool or anywhere else at all.
I think it's dead. Will have to buy a new one.
I will be careful with overclocking in future
Thanks again.
Put your card in the phone and boot into recovery.. Then mounts/storage and try to mount usb storage when connected to pc.. If the mem card shows up in your pc then try putting the card in a non android phone and delete the partitions.. Even my sd card didn't show up in a card reader.. But it showed up when I used a non android phone..

make sure your sd card is usable - connect it to PC and check if it is being read. If yes, then continue. If no, then replace it.
Backup your entire SD card.
Delete all partitions and make one single partition using the Minitool Partition Wizard. Once done, try partitioning with the Recovery. this way you can ensure max compatibility.
And btw, only use swap if you are using Swapper, and only if your ROM supports it. Not all ROM support swapping. I recommend you to set swap to 0, our Pico is capable enough to run flawlessly without swap.
Once done, Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, flash your rom again and after one reboot flash mounts2sd or int2ext. Never use two scripts at a time.
same problem
It happened only with Triumph ROM for me no matter what i do the doesn't mount when i connect via usb tethering to my pc..I had to reboot into recovery for the memory card to show up in the pc..Can any one help me on this?
I never installed any secondary memory script..Just flashed the latest Triumph version after a superwipe....
The memory card never shows up on the pc but only in recovery..
format using minitool partion
format using minitool partion it'll fix sd card errors

[Completed] [Q] SD card partitions not mounting...

I have a problem with my 64GB Sandisk SD card (same problems happened to my old 8gig) where the partitions I make, for link2sd/roehsoft ram expander etc. , don't mount. Link2sd returns "Invalid Argument". I did try mounting a partition with Root Explorer but it also returned "Invalid Argument". I am not entirely sure how to manually mount a partition.
The partitions are 49.92GB FAT32, 6.98GB ext2 and 5.59GB Linux swap currently. I've tried loads of different sizes before.
I've tried different ROMs (CM11, CM12, AOKP [4.2.2 JB]) and I've also tried flashing different kernels. My device is a Galaxy Ace 3 GT-S7275R. I used my old Ace for a laugh (just in case)- but it didn't work...
I really have no idea of what to do to get the partitions to mount at all so I can use them. The first partition (FAT32) can be used and works normally, it's only the others.
Please Help
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. My question is why are you using the different partitions? The app may not support those format types. See this where you should ask your question,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2142844
