Hey everyone, I have a Android device which has low internal storage.I have rooted my device and partitioned my sd card. My device runs on mtk chip and on stock rom running KitKat. So my question is can I move only Facebook's internal data (no other app's data) which takes about 132 mb to 2nd partition. I saw a tutorial moving all apps data to 2nd partition but I want to move only Facebook data because it slows up phone .
Here's the link of the tutorial

Sounds similar to this one: [Q] Moving app Data to External SD card by smartabbas.
But if you want only one app / app's data to be moved, maybe this guide is better for you: [GUIDE] Titanium Backup Move app data 2 sd by nilot27.
Alternatively you can check this: [APP][1.6+] Link2SD by bakpinar.
And here more information about it: Guide on Increasing Application Storage with Link2SD.
If you still have questions to this method or need further help, you can ask in the [Guide] INCREASING INTERNAL MEMORY by acermedo thread directly.
Good luck !

So guys sorry if I posted this in the wrong topic but I'm kinda new here so..
I got a tablet with specs;
OS: Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
Processor: ARM Cortex A9 Quadcore
RAM: 1GB DDRIII
Memory: 8GB(Expandable to 32GB)
and other unnecessary details like touchscreen etc.I copied the above details from the box.Although it says that it has an internal memory of 8GB, the tablet contains only an integrated SD of 5GB only. Also, there is a small cable which enables me to connect my flash drive to the tablet.
As the title says, I'm running low on memory.I got only 3 games. This is a tablet given by school so there are many apps like IProf by mythware and many more.So I'm here to ask if there is any way to move my games onto an external flash drive or extend the internal memory?
It's already rooted btw.
Hey there , I have a solution for your problem . Its good because you already root your phone . First . Install Link2sd from play store . Then you have to grant for superuser permission . Then you can simply tap on apps which you want to move to your external storage . This gonna force the app to move onto sdcard using Apps2SD method . You also can uninstall a bloatware ! . Here you can have more free space on your devices !
Press thanks if helped !

But that app can move it to the external flash drive?
Btw I got a problem.I told you that there was an internal 5GB SD.When I pressed "move to SD card, the app moves to the internal rather than the external.
Also, in the link2SD, when I get into an app's details there is a line that says this:
Symbolic Link - Second partition not found -
Then beneath it:
Make sure you have two partitions on your SD card and both are primary.

Sorry but i forgot to mention you , you also need a partition on your sd card . Its mean that you have made a separated memory on your sdcard . How to do that ? Simple ! , Just google "HOW TO PARTITION SDCARD USING MINITOOL PARTITION WIZARD" or search on youtube for simple way , On XDA also got that tutorial . Enjoy

All the Android apps store their data in "/storage/sdcard0/Android/data" folder which is in internal memory. But there's a corresponding folder in MicroSD Card(external storage), "/storage/sdcard1/Android/data" where very few apps store data and that too in very little amount. I know it is due to limited permissions. So I have two questions :-
1. Is there any way/hack that if I shift this data of a particular app, manually from internal storage to external storage, I can make apps use it? (I'm getting low on internal storage. I tried shifting data of "Pocket" and "Cousera" apps but it didn't work.)
2. As Android Lollipop will again remove this restrictions on external storage handling from apps, will they all start saving/shifting data to external storage saving space on internal memory?
(I am using Moto E(XT-1022), Android version : Kitkat 4.4.2)

Hi!
I recently used application Mounts2sd on my samsung galaxy XCover2 (s7710) to move the apps from internal storage to sd (i am running Cyanogenmod 10.1). I moved my applications and media files to sd card, but I left the cache and system apps on internal storage. After that my applications started lagging (UC Browser is lagging all the time for example), so I would like to move the apps back from sd card to internal storage. Is this possible without previous backup? Or do I have to factory reset the phone? I didn't find anything on that subject on google.... Thank you in advance!

I want to be able to instal apps on my SD card. Since my phone's space is full with 5 apps.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
I have had much luck in the past with Link2SD:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Apps and Games > [APP][1.6+] Link2SD
It leverages space on or SD card by way of a second partition (any size you want, but 2GB is probably enough). If you like it and get the Pro version, you can move the app data to the SD card as well (where the free version moves mostly the APK itself).
Please note, Android still has to download to internal storage, so you may get download fails on larger apps. But without repacking your kernel with a modified fstab (which causes signature and performance problems), Link2SD is your best bet.
Any questions about the app, can be asked in the above thread (once registered for an account)
Hope this helps.
