Same imei on both slot - General Questions and Answers

Hello brothers,
Recently I used xposed installer to change imei of my android phone (YU yureka).
I succeeded to change imei but after checking imei by dialing *#06# I seen that new applied imei is set on both slot. Means same imei on both slot.
After that I set original imei but this time also it took only 1 imei among the 2.
Now I want to restore my original imeis. ( originals as per both slot )
Please help me.
Thank you.

[Q] IMEI number unknown S5830i

I recently installed cyanogen mod7 from Bieltv for my device gt-s5830i.
Installation done:
1.Kernel
2.ROM
3.Gapps
After installation everything works perfectly except the network related features.
Later i found out that the IMEI number is shown as UNKNOWN in my phone.
Typing *#06# displays nothing.
As suggested by various similar posts i installed galaxy toolbox. The imei number is shown in the toolbox also i could take bcup. However restoring that does NOT solve the problem.
Even seeing the backup in the hex editor the imei number shows up.
PS: My efs folder when viewed is shown as empty. Even with su permissions.
What can i do to solve the problem.

There is no way of getting a lost IMEI number of a mobile using a software.
Requirements:
1. Rooted Yuphoria phone
2. Xposed Framework
DISCLAIMER:
You're doing this at your own risk..
I'm not responsible if you land up counting the number of bars in jail
It is always recommended to use any of your unused phone's IMEI number to be risk-free.
Steps:
1. Install the app: Phone ID IMEI Changer or Device ID Changer
2. Open Xposed Installer, select 'Modules' and activate the module and reboot the phone.
3. Open the Phone ID Changer app and change the IMEI number & MAC Address as required.
Note:
Using this method, the IMEI number and MAC address is not permanently changed.
To restore the IMEI and MAC, go to 'Restore' tab in that app and Select 'Restore Original ID'

[IMEI RESTORE GUIDE] Restore IMEI Numbers on MediaTek Chipset Phones by CMahendra

After flashing some custom rom you may lose IMEI numbers and phone loses its network. How to restore IMEI numbers of MediaTek Chipset phone?
Due to mismatch in Radio files mismatched between the roms of two different chipsets, you may lose IMEI on some roms after flashing. Do not panic or worry, it can be restored easily. Remember for DUAL SIM phone you need to restore both IMEI numbers, which are found on your Invoice (Bill), Product Box or below Battery)
METHOD 1) Restore your own IMEI numbers with this amazing APP. Read warning carefully.
WARNING: DO NOT SHARE YOUR IMEI WITH ANYONE ELSE. Remember, using FALSE IMEI numbers is illegal in any country and it can put you in JAIL. These days they are tracing culprits for terrorism threats. So please use this app to restore your own IMEI only.

METHOD 2)
Restoring NVRAM BACKUP taken with MTKDROID TOOLS which you can flash with SPFT Flashing tool.
a) Watch this video to know how to take backup of NVRAM of a working STOCK ROM with the help of MTKDROID Tools. You must know that NVRAM backup file stores your own IMEI Number. Do Not share it with anyone else. They will restore their phone with your IMEI number and will put you in trouble.

.
b) When IMEI is lost flash this only single entry of NVRAM with SPFlash tools
WARNING: DO NOT SHARE YOUR NVRAM FILE WITH ANYONE ELSE. It stores your IMEI Number.

Go to
Settings/Mobile networks/Network operators/Search networks
And choose your network
If didnt work try to flash your mobile with latest Rom using (smart switch) keep in mind you will lose all data on your phone if didnt work try Marshmalow beta....any way try roms and do same steps...

It will say null or something then try to fix imei with apps inside folder...if this didnt work visit repair place...
Sincerely hope you're not in the UK as it's very illegal here to change IMEI and advertising the fact isn't a smart move.
Greetings,
Changing IMEI is illegal in many countries and the discussion thereof is prohibited on XDA.

I am in TROUBLE! Help me for GOD, Redmi 6a!!!

Anyone left with some humanity is requested to PLEASE HELP ME if you have a Redmi 6a device or know a guy with redmi 6a device.
I actually bricked my device unintentionally and did found a way to get out using SP Flash Tool, However the thing I am stuck in right now is worse than bricking a phone.
Both SIM Cards are not working. I did a lot of research and found that I need two files:
[nvdata.img] [nvram.bin]
Unfortunately I don't have any backup for this. Now what I am looking for is some kind hearted person who can take a backup of their [nvdata] [nvram] partition and give it to me and I'll replace all their data like IMEI numbers etc with my own. I have my IMEI numbers ready to be feeded. I did a lot of try using those engineering ROMS and Tools. NOTHING WORKS!
I regret my decision of jumping in something I don't know about. I want you to please have pity on me so that I don't have to live without my phone.

I tried it but it still shows imei unknown. What device is your fixed mobile phone? xiaomi or some other?
IMEI gets added to mobile device when it's built. It's stored in device's /EFS and/or /NVRAM partition. If you haven't backed up this partition before you flashed a new ROM then you have lost unless the IMEI is printed on the box in which device has been delivered.
