International Relocation Questions - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I'm moving from Canada to the US shortly. I have a Rogers S6 which has been unlocked.
Which is the best Android carrier in the US? I'm hearing T-Mobile?
If I get T-Mobile, will I get their updates automatically? I'm still on Android 5.0.2 with Rogers. If not, how can I switch my phone to a T-Mobile to get the updates?
If I switch my phone's firmware now to T-Mobile will it still work on Rogers now? Will I need a new unlock code?

Found some information on CSC...When I go to change it, it only allows for Canadian carriers CSC. How can I switch to US to get access to Tmobile?

[Q] Will the t-mobile model fully work on at&t network?

I'm in the US and is considering getting a S6. However at&t versions have the ugly logo on the back.....which does not affect t-mobile model. I wonder if I can go buy a full priced t-mobile galaxy S6 (and get it unlocked) and insert my at&t sim card in it. Compared the bands on their websites but the information seems to be partial....Any one could help determine if the t-mobile version will be fully functional on at&t network? Thanks a lot!
Besides, I haven't used t-mobile phones before...Will a fully paid galaxy s6 come to me unlocked? Or do I need to ask them for an unlock code? I see that the tmobile iphones are unlocked by default, but I don't know if this applies to S6..

Should I flash T-mobile firmware on Sprint phone since T-mobile is my provider?

I just got a Sprint phone and I am in the process of unlocking it. Once I unlock it, should I flash the Sprint S7 with the T-mobile S7 firmware since T-mobile is my provider? I know I won't get wifi calling and VOLTE, but I figured the preconfigured settings on T-mobile APN etc will make it easier for me to use the Sprint phone with less issues? The other option was flashing the International unlocked firmware.
What are your guys' thoughts?

G930W8 with Verizon or T-Mobile?

I am thinking of getting an unlocked S7. It seems to me G930W8 has the necessary LTE bands for Verizon and T-mobile, which are the carriers used in our family. Does anyone have any experience with either US carrier? Is there any issue? I am picking this model mainly because it's not bootloader locked like the Snapdragon models (US models), so in the future I can load any custom ROM.

Did you ever get this phone and find out if it works on Verizon? I have rooted my G935W8, but my friend's G930W8 is unlocked and unrooted. I am trying to find out if she can use it on Verizon. The Verizon reps where she is says it will not work. She has just moved there, and needs a working phone. She was using it on T-Mobile, but that doesn't give her any service in the part of Utah she is now in. If she were somewhere she knew people, I would have her ask someone if she could test their sim in her phone, but she doesn't know anyone there yet.

Using an unlocked (by someone) sprint S8+ on GSM, will get all GSM frequencies?

Question for those who know more than I do... If someone gets a sprint S8+ unlocked (A SPRINT DEVICE THAT HAS BEEN UNLOCKED NOT A FACTORY UNLOCKED DEVICE) to use on GSM (T-mobile, AT&T, etc) will it get all the GSM/LTE freqencies and bands for usa gsm services like T-mobile, AT&T, etc... Or are the SPRINT S8+ crippled on the GSM frequencies?

If you flash the U1 firmware that comes from the unlocked US phones, you should be good if the phone's already network/SIM unlocked-that firmware doesn't have the carrier bloat, but it detects the SIM card inserted and will adjust the network stuff accordingly so that it operates on the right bands, etc. If you'd prefer to have all the carrier apps/ bloat as well, there are several threads on carrier switching. Flashing the U1 firmware is fairly straightforward and easy, and most carrier features work; Switching from Sprint firmware to another carrier's firmware is a bit more involved but still totally doable. You're going to have to do one of the two though.
Edit: All of the US models have the exact same hardware, with all of the same radios...the unlocked model is the exact same as a variant from T-Mobile/Sprint/etc. It's just the CP & CSC firmware files that dictate the network stuff.

SM-G930T flashed to G930U with AT&T bands - Possible?

Hello,
Haven't been here for a while and saw the treads saying the G930T is flashable with the unlocked version, so I am excited to do that when I get home. I currently using Cricket, which is a subsidiary of AT&T, so I was thinking of flashing the AT&T bands. Would this cause any problems? I saw others have flashed the T-Mobile with no problems to keep wifi calling, but considering I don't need those, would I even see a performance increase for using the AT&T bands on the G930T? That is the only reason I was considering it.
Lastly, I was on the Sammobile site, but there are two versions of the 930U listed, one as USA and one as USA: T-Mobile (https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930U/). Do I need to use one over the other?
Thanks for the help!
