Lately I've noticed these x-out boxes next to emojis in Google Messenger and the regular AOSP Messaging apps.. can anyone explain what's happening? It's mostly from iPhone users I believe

IPhone's just got a new update with new emojis, so you're not going to see those.

I'm using a Droid incredible/2.2 {miui rom}/launcher pro. I've looked in the settings of both handcent and stock messaging app and could not find any leads on how to disable this popup! I have no other sms apps installed. Its definitely a 2.2 feature. Its like a frikking ghost in the shell. Any suggestions?

After the android 8.0 update I keep getting these annoying across system notifications saying things are running in the background. Does anyone know how to turn them off? The one in the attached picture is when I'm connected to my Google Home but it gives the same notification for various other things as well.
Here's a screenshot...

Regarding gboard, does anyone know when will we get the faster voice typing option on non pixel phones?
PS this feature is currently available on gboard on pixel phones only.

I have a stock ATT note ultra. I also use Google messenges as my preferred messaging app. Why am I not see the iPhone reaction emoji. Is ATT blocking this feature. I am on the latest messages beta and do not see the option to turn on iPhone reaction.
