[OPEN-SOURCE][APP][Android 2.2+]Root Verifier[Checks Root & Busybox]

Hello everyone,
This is my first app, called "Root Verifier" which simply checks if your android phone has superuser access or not. It requires Android 2.2+ (may work on Eclair but not tested). Changelog is in the second post. Some screenshots:-

Updated to V1.1. Many bugs fixed and improved superuser detection. Added busybox detection and android device model detection.

Open sourcing this is of course much appreciated, but over at F-Droid some concerns have been raised about no license being specified either for the source code or for the artwork resources used. It works exactly as expected!

Root Verifier says root permission not granted or Superuser app missing but also says Busybox is installed as is Supersu 2.78-SR1. Interestingly the google play checkers assure me i'm rooted but I cant remove any system apps. The $ sign does change to # in the terminal. Is there a definitive way to check root access? I seem to be kinda rooted which is a bit like being a little bit pregnant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[App] suhide-GUI

I created a simple GUI for adding and removing package UIDs using Chainfire's suhide.
This application does not root your device or actually hide SU!!!
Everything is handled by suhide, this is just a simple way of adding and removing UIDs without typing commands and looking through lists.

No need to update. The adding/removing/listing functions didn't change so it still works with 0.54

Hello, I have a question - what does it do, if I choose for example Google Play Services or Google Framework in the list (does it mean it is activated for hide or does it mean it is deactivated for hide?)

Selected apps are ones that are added to the list to be hidden.
Check mark = hide.

What does 'root found limited usability' mean?

Thanks for the app. I will try it out now. Originally app list added to suhide won't survive on rom update or flashing.
will this app retain that list even after rom update?

How to check updates from app ?

Installation
You'll have to take the backup of your old WhatsApp from WhatsApp>Settings>Chat>Backup Chats.
Then proceed to uninstall your official WhatsApp, after uninstalling it just install this modded version nd setup everything like the official WhatsApp.

There's nothing wrong in this app. It requires same permissions as stock WhatsApp does. It contains no ads and its fully safe to use. You can give it a go without worrying.

Introduction
Root method:
The updates to Android One devices are handled by Google Play services(GMS). GMS stores the update url in the tag control.installation.current_update_url of the file /data/data/com.google.android.gms/shared_prefs/com.google.android.gms.update.storage.xml. The url is read from that file and displayed.
Non-root method:
If the device is not rooted, a permission(android.permission.READ_LOGS) has to be granted. Then the app can read the system logs and extract the update url. Connect your device to a computer with Android platform tools installed and run the following command (needs to be done only once):

This method has a 50/50 chance of success, but it’s worth a try. It seems that some manufacturers have Camera2 API built into the ROMs, but disabled it for some reason – by simply adding a line to the build.prop in the /system partition of your Android device, you can enable the Camera2 API functionality.

After using this app my camera wont work even after reflashing everything. How to revert? The remove button was the first to try of course. My camera seems bricked for now after using it :S
NONE of camera apps work. I reflashed official os, kernel, custom os
It is not true, that it edits build.prop in system folder, instead it edits the one in vendor folder.
Anyway even changing hal3 manually to 0 there wont fix it
What else did it change?
This app is DANGEROUS.
Edit: it took mee 6 hours to fix this.
So what it does is not just build.prop
Actyally it intends to do it but it has a cumulative effect for Data partition! Not just system (vendor actually) as said.
You do not need to backup those two as it is really simple to edit build.prop manually.
If you really wanna try this app, backup your DATA partition as the only way out is factory reset or rewrite data partition
