And here is the ideas for improvement:
1. App search. Because list can be long for some users.
2. Place for messaging and phone apps like any other launchers. If I had to call someone emergency it won't be cool if I can't find phone app

First of all sir thank u very much for ur feedback and second we are planning to add HomeScreen Like other launchers have
all it needs to become best launcher in the world
1. ability to import/exports/backup/restore launcher setting and layout with XML file.
2. folders in desktop
3. folders in app drawer also.
4. a dock on desktop for apps such as dialer, phonebook, SMS, app drawer launcher.
5. DO NOT add widget support, keep it lite.
6. add custom dock size i desktop and add drawer. plus 2 line label text support, and CONDENSED FONTS
that's it, no themes and other stuff needed, just keep it lite and fast.

Great looking app, can't wait to try it out.
Just installed it to my Desire HD (stock rom, 1.72 firmware) via adb and whenever I try to add the widget to my home screen, it tells me "no more room on this homescreen". This is with LauncherPRO.
On restart of my phone I also got a message saying that the process had crashed and had to force close. (app loads fine however, just not able to put the widget on)
Any suggestions?
I just tried it on my galaxy s it says no enough romm in this page in both launcher pro and touchwiz.
When i open the app it force close and keep doing the same.
I really want this watch but no luck.

There was no need to use adb! It's similar to stock but not same app. The widget will occupy the whole screen. Did you have another shortcuts on the screen when u tried?

You are welcome Yes it can (root & non-root), no need for adb.
but it's a paid version on market and free here for limited time.

Heh, only reason I used adb was because I downloaded the apk on my desktop, and my phone was plugged in but not mounted. I'm lazy like that XD
And yeah, I tried it on an empty home screen, so no other widgets on it.

Hey Adam, I've been toying around with the launcher pro settings, just found, your widget uses a 5x5 layout currently which may be why many people are having issues not being able to add this to a home screen since the default is 4x4.
Any chance of a 4x4 version?

The launcher seemed to have cramped everything up, looking at thr screenshots. Is it what the real launcher looks like?
i have the launcher all setup, and added the English badges, but does anybody know how to disable the launcher's Lock screen? Even when I use a different launcher it's still the default launcher. I assume the option is there, but i can't find it.

I checked all the settings...there is no option for disabling the lock screen...

To disable the lock screen, all you need to do is kill its process from startups. It works like I want it now.
Although I wish there was weather, unless I can't find it. Haha

1. Since you got rid of the textbox (when messaging), maybe you could get it an holo-like background (so you can see what you're writing on different backgrounds). See attachment
2. Replace the "Send" button for the arrows also attached

BTW. I changed the devider (better alignment) and topbar background (match holo standards better). Throw them in whenever you update :good:

The text in the text box where you type the message is white. Makes it impossible to read. Could you please make it black? Only complaint I have. Other than that everything is awesome! Great job!

I was wondering if it would be possible to add the whole dock bar (app drawer button and pinned apps etc..) vertically to either the left or right side of the desktop... Rather than having it stay at the bottom
As an option of course....
Also, ram consumption might need to be further optimized
Keep up the great work tho... Really do like this launcher :thumbup:

for "add the whole dock bar vertically", due to the restrictions of google design on displaying app widgets and other related things, this may make it not possible to put the whole dock bar vertically, very sorry~

No worries mate... It was only a suggestion
Maybe you could implement some different app drawer configurations.... Such as custom grid sizes and possibly a list style app drawer as well...

This is awesome, I've built a launcher before but never finished it.
Any chance you know the following -
How can I use an intent to launch an app I want? Then save it so when I press the button the next time instead of asking me which app to launch, it'll auto launch the app I chose before.
Basically like a App Chooser.
You press the button, a pop up appears, you select the app and choose save. Then when you press the button again you will automatically open the app you saved. Subscribing to this thread

You can use lastest version of Eclipse with ADT plugin found here : http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/installing-adt.html

Thanks just installed Mars eclipse and added the plugin. That's as far as I got will continue tonight.
Since it is on front XDA page i guess it is great tutorial (didn't watch yet, don't have time for this now). But is it possible to create iOS launcher like, only with application grid and no workspaces?

MIUI ROMs use a launcher like that so I guess it's possible. You'd have to get comfortable with this tutorial first and then work on mimicing it (or you could find the launcher from MIUI and decompile it to see how it works).

Yes it is, instead of having two separate activities. (Home screen) and (Drawer). You can merge the two activities together. So yeah you can.

Like said by coal686, you can make what you want. Launcher created during tutorial is the base for a custom launcher. With that base created, then you can imagine all the improvements for your launcher.
