AT&T H950 V11Z Update - LG G Flex 2

Hey guys,
Anyone been able to get the H950 V11Z update? Any tips?
I called att 5 times, they either say it doesn't exist or fail to push it. LG sync says my software is up to date. i have forwarded my clock an entire year.

It does exist, that's how I provided Sj with the system.img so he could to root 11z for everyone. According to a rep I spoke with the updates are linked to IMEI blocks, but I'm weary of that statement's validity. I can only suggest that you keep trying and clear cache for Software Update + Update center.

I would say that, but I noticed better temps from 11x, still unsure of whether that's a coincidence or not.

is there root available for 11z? I'm on cricket and don't want to go through the hassle of updating via the go phone method unless the same root procedure that worked for 11x works for 11z.

Thanks. Also did you have to unroot h95011x to receive the z update, or can you just receive the update as normal & just loose root after it's done? I was wondering if unchecking "enable superuser" to temp disable root before the update & re-enabling it after the update would save root? Thanks

I didn't root until after using 11z. I think Sj would suggest installing the stock image of 11x before updating to 11z. Also there might be some sort of integrity check that SuperSU may interfere with.

Have we received the LG knock code update yet?
At the time of writing this sadly no. I check the LGST everyday..
What's lgst by the way? This update should be any day now I would figure. There's nothing on Google to be found in terms of a timeline.
What is the best place to check for new firmware update news for our phones when we no longer get update push notifications due to changing kernel/roms?

(LGST) = Lg support tool. I plug it in everyday to see if Lg has pushed the update. More than likely they would release it before T-Mobile would. To check on the website go here https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...juYUYCh9oQyBD36sw&sig2=_UtTeFphjkZtf122VQTREA and just go to to support and select more then software update.
I actually have that installed, good idea.

Yeah. Im starting to think though that it's not going to happen til after the G3 releases. I think they want to see how many people jump ship to the new product. It would behoove them to wait so they can increase G3 sales.. my opinion though.
in euro ver of d802 ther is knock code.
Just checking in, any updates? I'm not even concerned about the touch code, looking more forward to any kernel/ROM performance tweaks and hotfixes that may be included!

AT&T officially got knock code. I'm hoping we're soon. Especially before I get the G3.
Saw that. Exactly what I'm hoping.

i downloaded and installed the 300MB OTA update yesterday without issue. check to confirmed that knockcode feature is present and currently testing to see how battery life is as there's supposedly improvements made there.
Yeah I had an issue too where all the lg tools was telling me that 20a was the latest for me. So I had to go and download the kdz myself and use the 2014 flasher found on the forum.

Any way to get out of this? I tried to click 'Install later' but that just forces me to set a time.
If I set a time, will I have the option to not download it? I'm completely stock and would've eventually like to try the firewater method to soff and whatnot. Not a huge deal, I'm fine with paying for Sunshine but I'd just rather not do the update if I don't have to.
Thanks.
Just got this notification this morning as well and was about to post the same thing. Wanted to see if I could postpone til tonight, then give firewater a try before the update was scheduled.

I've just been clicking the link that's in my first screenshot then clicking the home button and that makes it go away for a bit. Might just install it because it's very annoying, unless there's another way to stop it...
Without root I don't believe it's possible to get rid of the update and the nagging. If you want to get root I would try using firewater now before your phone updates since it's free and you might get lucky and have it work for you. However there is a possibility it won't work since they changed things on some of the newer m8's. If you want to root and soff after updating your only option will be the sunshine method which costs $25. That is the only method that works on 4.4.3 as of now.
I ended up with the same thing this morning. I am already rooted and S-off and have the newest 4.4.3 firmware. I think if you are rooted you can use TBU or something and rename a couple of files that will stop the Ota. Here is a link to a thread that might be helpful if you get rooted. http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one-m8/general/block-ota-updates-t2871520
Hopefully this is helpful.

I used es and the method described in the link above to rename the apk to bak and so far so issues after 3 days. Still plan to s off tonight, but that bought me some time

If you don't have ATT sim you just can get an update. You need to go to the general section there is a thread for phone update without sim.
Here is the OP instructions
"After much searching, I found the way to upgrade to Android 6.0 MM without a sim, the solution came from a group of reddit, a guy named rmrf.
Before you started this steps , its important that you have on 10o Version if you are on 10i or other , y recommend you flash 10o first ,Guide Here
1. Download the Android 6.0 MM OTA file, Thanks to Shinji257 or here(Mirror)
2.Unzip the file, and you get a dlpkgfile file rename it to 20N.up
3.Copy 20N.up file to /sdcard/SoftwareUpdate/ path on internal memory phone not external SD card (if folder doesn't exist, just create it)
4. Connected the phone with USB Debugging Activated , open a new CMD window and run
check if you device appear listed
Run this:
4.Run this command in adb shell:
Update should now start.
Do not forget to give thanks. :good:
"
Go to the thread to download the file.

You cant update if you're rooted, you yes you do
You need to flash stock Lollipop. I'm not positive, but the 5.1.1 tot file may be in tung's root thread
***Edit - See the OP thread, put a link to the stock tot thread
I just downloaded the stock firmware and used the same method that I used for root.

Wow it works perfectly now bout time
Does anybody know how to disable the camera icon on the lockscreen in 6.0?

Yes it does - flawlessly and quickly, even with my Spigen case. The fingerprint scanner also works now with other supporting apps, like LastPass, thanks to the standard API.

The root method will not work because the tot file is for Android 5.1 not 6.0. I am currently unsure if you can return to root Android 5.1 from Android 6.0 with tungkick root tot. Has anyone tried this to see if you can downgrade and root?
