Hi
I have managed to unlock the phone but I can't root it I have followed all the instructions and just no luck.
I followed this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62145915&postcount=8
I get stuck at step 4, when I type in the command prompt "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" is says waiting for device and just sits there and never changes, its like the phone is not connected.
Please if anyone can help me that would be great.

Yep, think so too. Maybe running Windows 10? If so, new ADB required.
Lot to be found on that here on XDA.
Regards,
Good luck, I haven't a computer so I'm hoping someone will release an app to root

It's quite possible a wrong driver. I'm also using Windows 10 and I remember spending some time troubleshooting this when I'm rooting mine. I can't remember how I got it right but there's a lot of downloading from here and there for the correct drivers. You need to enable usb debugging on your phone to let the pc detect the correct driver to install. There's different drivers for different mode so check your device manager whether the correct ones are installed.

Your most likely going to first need to downgrade back to lollipop before you'll be able to root.

Thanks for your answer.
I was sure I have to do that. Is there somewhere a clear procedure to do that ? I mean (link to rom + some explanations).
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. I waited for more than 15 minutes and nothing happens. So i reboot the phone (hold vol. down and power together). And no-youpi, it was still my non-rooted android 6 installed...

Yes, I know that. From what I read in his second post, he wants a way to root his phone, knowing that he has to downgrade to lollipop. So I gave him a way to downgrade to lollipop and to root it.

DirtySanta is exclusive to v20 only I guess..
But we can extract a system img using dd from download mode and decompress it... Add mods and repack it and flash..
All aslongas super user binaries aren't added... You can put any mods.. sad no one has done it yet and i am on h950 so no MM
Hi guys, I have a question, with honor 8 I released the bootloader and twrp flash to put the rros, but after returning to emui I first put the original recovery and then I blocked the bootloader, after doing everything, I open it Camera and continues to close and open until you leave a black screen, do you have any idea what it may be? solutions?

give a try by extracting update.app and flashing stock firmware images in fastboot. It will mostly solve the problems.
Or if TWRP installed just make a clean flash with stock ROM.

Some arabian page when i was trying to find a root method for the j3 prime. But instead i found that file for the j7 prime. Hopefully it does work. Because honestly as far as i know both devices are locked tighter than a virgin nun bootloader wise. The j3 prime has an exynos chipset which shouldnt have been locked according to previous devices. Samsung may be becoming more ios-like with their proprietary code added along side the android os code. Its frustrating.
