Framaroot - Will this method work for the S6? Does anyone know?... - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
Saw this article on my daily flipboard read and am wondering if this Framaroot app will work to root the S6?
http://techposts.org/root-android-phone-or-tablet-without-using-pc/
My specific version is the W8 (Canadian model) of the S6.
Does anyone have any info on this app at all?
Thanks,

Hi, not sure about framaroot, but I rooted my S6 with Unikernel, took only a couple of minutes and was all done. Would probably recommend it as it's easy to do

Most one click root apps do not work on the S6. Flashing Uni Kernel will automatically root your S6.

Root verizon galaxy s3 (ExynosAbuse)

Hello All,
I have recently tried to root my verizon galaxy s3 using the ExynosAbuse-v1.40.apk and it fails everytime. I am running Android 4.1.1(jellybean). Has anyone else had the same issue and if so have you found a workaround or fix for this?
Thanks,
Jordan

Apparently you didn't read that post as it is for the international version of the phone you have the US version of the phone. In fact it is for phones with the Exynos quad core processors which all the phones mentioned on the link have.

Help with Cricket S6 Root!!!

I have a S6 with Cricket running 5.1.1. I have tried ping-pong root, king root,cl auto root (G920AZ isn't on the list) and SRSRoot. None of these methods work at all, even srsroot which they just put on Twitter that it will work. But none do, so are there any ways of getting my s6 rooted. The method doesn't have to be a one touch method either. If there are any is there proof they actually work?

Need help rooting! Thanks. [Galaxy S6 g920f]

I want to root my samsung galaxy s6 non-edge - g920f.
The problem is, I found a video where you download the twrp from google drive, I couldn't download that file since too many users had already downloaded it.
I then searched for a one-click root, which failed since the ones I found don't support 6.0.1 or are only for the edge.
Would someone mind helping me? Thanks soo much in advance everyone.
this might help
I just recently rooted my gs6 running 6.0.1 by cf-autoroot. Just type cf-autoroot android 6.0.1 and it should pop up . if it doesnt then hit me up i will send you the download link. its quite easy so you shouldnt have any problems.
Here is the TWRP;

Hello guys, i want to root too, but for rooting with CF is it required to have a unlocked bootloader? And how to unlock my bootloader because I'll be flashing some custom ROMs?

How can i root my Galaxy S6 SM-G920A?

Hey guys, I'm new to rooting. The wondershare Root tool didn't work for me. I have a feeling it doesn't work for my model, and looked through the forums here but am very overwhelmed of all the threads.
Can someone help me determine if my phone is rootable? And if so, how to implement it?
It's originally from ATT, but now with Flash Wireless for Tmobile.

Need Help rooting Galaxy S7 G930U

Hi all! So I'm pretty familiar with rooting my Galaxy S4 but have recently purchased and upgraded to a Galaxy S7. It's an SM-G930U model and currently set up with my MetroPCS account. I've had some issues finding ROMS that I can use with Odin to root but haven't had much luck. I was able to find stock roms in case something goes awry but no luck with customs. Can someone help me out with a link? Thanks!

There are no custom roms since the bootloader is locked so the rooting process is different from what you are used to, so follow this guide:
