Recovery bootloop - HTC Sensation

I tried flashing a ROM, but used the wrong recovery so the ROM did not work and my phone won't boot.
Next I tried to enter my recovery boot this gave me a bootloop.
It says preparing boot, turns off , preparing boot, turns off.... and so on.
I'm on 4EXt recovery tried to switched to twrp but still the same problem.
Any sugestion?

try this version of 4ext
http://d-h.st/rG7
extract the recovery.img and flash it via fastboot command

Solved
Cache appeared to be the problem somehow.
Clear cache over fastboot.
Entered recovery, it told me it was in save mode and I had to wipe all partitions(except sd)
So I did, ran a backup and it was fixed.

blank screen after twrp restore

I tried to flash a cm10 rom and i did thought i flashed the boot.img separately as i read you have to but it was stuck booting for at least 25 min so i gave up with that and tried to restore from a backup i made with twrp. I restored from the backup and tried to reboot but nothing happens, it shows the htc screen and then turns black and thats it. I can go into bootloader and recovery but im not sure what to do to get back. Should i try a ruu?

Maybe it was a bad restore? or a bad backup? You could try restoring from your backup again.
Or blaze on and see if you can get CM10 up and running.
Did you wipe /cache/dalvik/system when coming from stock (before installing)? I've seen situations (on other devices), Where I've had to delete the /data partition as well, I'm not sure why it wouldn't boot, but it refused to get past the CM load screen until the /data partition was wiped. If it's a new phone and you don't have too much on the sdcard, this might be worth trying.
Once you have TWRP flashing ROM's shouldn't be too bad, it's just the "fastboot flash boot boot.img" that catches people out usually.
you still have to flash boot.img separate before/after a twrp restore.
Grab the boot.img from a stock rom
Wipe cache/dalvik
Factory reset
Bootloader, fastboot usb, then fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then restore the backup
Thanks everyone for the responses, I was able to get it working after trying a few more times and wiping everything. Not sure why it didnt work earlier but all of a sudden after trying it just worked.

[Q] Recovery bugged and bootloop

I tried Reflashing a viper one s rom (dirty flash) aroma got stuck at 90% trying to "restore stock sense camera". So i did an adb reboot. After that My recovery got bugged. I would go into a bootloop if I tried an adb reboot into recovery, stuck at the htc developer only warning screen.
If i try to manually go into recovery through the bootloader. It starts up but I can't flash anything. If i try flashing/fixing permissions/clearing cache, recovery just reboots itself or crashes and again goes into the bootloop. I tried reflashing twrp/stock recovery/cwm through fastboot. all of them have the same issue.
I'm now trying to use the Soft Brick fix, but after pressing clear storage I'm in stock recovery and the progress bar doesn't move. Please Help me someone

[Q] Cannot reboot system from Clockworkmod Recovery(Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 GT-S6500D)

Cannot reboot system from Clockworkmod Recovery
Hello, my phone detected that there is an update then i click the update after that it told me to confirm for reboot my phone enter CWM recovery then I clicked on reboot system now. It showed the Samsung Logo and the Splashscreen, but then enters the CWM recovery. I also tried pulling out the battery and then pushing the power button, but it still boots into CWM recovery. Any help? It looks like my phone got messed up and I can only use it in CWM recovery. Help is much appreciated. for everyone information i did root my phone a year ago.

[Q] ODIN Pass but Nothing has changed

Hi Guys, Need some help please!
My P3100 had CM11 on it, and one day it stopped booting, was stuck in the Samsung logo. I got into recovery, did a factory reset\cache and dalvik wipe, but has not helped. I got into the Download mode and tried flashing the stock firmware. Odin takes 92 minutes to complete this process, and I can see "PASS" displayed, but tab still stuck in Samsung logo. Infact, when I reboot to recovery after flashing Stock rom, it still takes me the CWM recovery, while I expected to get into Stock recovery. I have also tried flashing TWRP recovery, I get a Pass message, but takes me to CWM recovery again. I have tried flashing custom ROMs from this recovery, dont get any error, but tab still wont go past the Samsung Logo. Out of ideas now, please help!
Boot into Recovery
- wipe data factory reset
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvic cache
- format system
- flash new ROM (if you flash stock ROM CWM/TWRP recovery will be overwritten during first boot)
I have tried that. Several times. The CWM recovery seems to be permanently stuck to the tab. Even if I flash twrp recovery, the flash is successful, but I go back to CWM recovery.
